Thank you so much to Frank and the team for helping us sell our home! We would 100% recommend TeKoop to anyone selling their home as they are professional and know exactly what they are doing. From my first call to the office after they were recommended to me to completion it has been smooth sailing. We were always kept informed about how the process was going and Frank was always happy to answer any of our questions. Frank came across really well on our first meeting and explained the process really well and we gladly signed up In the past we had had dealings with other agents in the area but Frank was second to none. The photos and drone work that were done were amazing and we were thrilled with the brochure’s end result. We had an open day the following week and had several offers on the day. We took one of the offers and were very satisfied with the whole process which was very quick from start to finish. Frank recommended a solicitor and they were fabulous too, we were kept informed daily/weekly and had an online portal for updates. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Frank and his team to anyone you won’t be disappointed. Nothing is too much trouble and we are very grateful for all they have done. Julia Michel Julia was very professional, knowledgeable, personable and understanding when it came to her selling our house. We want to thank Ben Banton for all his help in selling our property. It was Ben who inspired us to instruct Curchods in the first place, having met him when viewing a property. We were under offer with a different agent at them time, but that sale eventually fell through. Things weren't really moving with the other agent, but Ben often called us to check in on our situation and even offered some useful tips. It got to a point where we decided to try a fresh approach with a different agency, and Curchods were our first thought, because of Ben's diligence. I asked Pippa to help with the rental of my late Mothers house which needed updating. Here’s an honest review for students or recent graduates considering shared housing with this agency. At first glance, they appear reliable. The houses are generally clean, spacious, and well-maintained. In some cases, amenities and maintenance support are also decent. That’s the surface-level experience. The real issue lies in how their contracts are structured. They do not offer individual tenancy agreements. Instead, they use joint contracts, meaning your name is legally tied to other tenants you may not know or trust. In a shared housing setup, especially in a foreign country, this is a serious risk. The contract itself is written in a way that heavily protects the agency while leaving tenants exposed. The language is complex and ambiguous, and over time, you may find yourself held accountable for situations completely outside your control. For example: - If a housemate leaves the country without notice, you can be held responsible for their rent - If someone behaves irresponsibly in the house, there is no individual protection for you - Decisions can effectively be controlled by a “lead tenant,” creating an imbalanced dynamic rather than a fair agreement There is also a £150 charge for tenancy replacement, which is a significant portion of the deposit. In our case, housemates left unexpectedly, and despite it not being our fault, the joint contract made us financially liable. Situations like this create unnecessary stress and financial burden, especially for people already navigating life in a new country. There were cases where people were irresponsible enough to take away or discard their own belongings while vacating, that the onus and the financial toll for that fell upon the last person leaving the house. To be clear, this setup might work if you are renting alone. But for shared housing, the risks outweigh the benefits. If you value stability and peace of mind, it’s worth exploring other agencies that offer individual contracts and better tenant protection.
