The valuation and advise Paul gave us was just what we wanted and we didn't hesitate in asking him to act on our behalf. The photographs and details of the property were on their's and various other websites in just a matter of days and our property was sold in a couple of months, in spite of it being Christmas. We do not live locally and throughout the sale of my Mum’s house, they kept us informed of developments and liaised with our buyer’s solicitor. Having fairly recently sold our own house and having had a less than favourable experience with the estate agent we used, we were delighted. GooglePaul Birtles has managed my apartment let in South Manchester for the last 4-5 years. Service has been excellent and good value throughout in terms of finding and vetting tenants, doing regular property inspections, organising property repair and maintenance and dealing with those unforeseen issues that inevitably arise. I can recommend them without reservation.

The whole team involved subsequently were first rate in all they did, most importantly in the way we communicated, discussed issues, and resolved the complications that inevitably arose. My main two contacts were Sam Calderbank and Dan Birtles, and both could be relied upon to offer effective, efficient and supportive service. The sale completed in just 10 weeks, start to finish, a testament to their delivery of an outstanding outcome. Highly recommended.

Once we agreed to purchase the house, we were in contact with Dan Birtles, who did a fantastic job. Communication was always excellent, both via email and telephone. GoogleAll of our dealings with Paul Birtles have been negative. We were clear that we were strongly interested in a property and asked to be kept updated however they failed to do so. When following up with them on the phone the member of staff was rude and unprofessional, as a previous reviewer has stated, they clearly don't give a damn. We will not be dealing with Paul Birtles again. Would give 0 stars if I could. 19/04/2019: In response to your reply, congratulations on your award for customer service. However, to say that "there was nothing rude in relation to the way your call was handled" is incorrect. Choosing to criticise us in your response for looking at rental properties a couple of months in advance is not the most professional of actions (you might say not the best act of customer service), as we explained to your staff we were trying to be organised over a busy work period ahead of moving from the south coast to the area for a new job. No doubt you encounter other customers with similar circumstances. Regardless, good luck for the future.
Thanks for your review. Looking at our system you viewed two rental properties with ourselves on the 28th December. Provided feedback that you weren't interested in one, were considering the other but had other properties to view. Our tenants guide provided to all rental viewers at the viewing appointments advises: 'Once you have found a property that suits your needs, all you need to do is complete a simple application form. Anyone who is over the age of 18 will usually be asked to fill out an application form. Please ensure that all sections of the form are completed, we will then process your reference as quickly as possible. Please call into the office with the completed application form or alternatively scan and email to: lettings@paulbirtlesestateagents.co.uk' No form was received at any stage from you in relation to any properties. The last note on our system from the 18th January was that you were still looking and interested in the property you had viewed. Still no forms received were received. Interest in a rental property can't really proceed any further without appropriate forms and with the applicant applying to rent the property. You provided no forms and made no application. To be totally honest, i'm not sure why you were viewing properties in December if you were only looking to rent something February onwards and i'm not too sure why you are disappointed given you made no formal application to apply for the property. With regards to you contacting our office - you did so and were advised the property had been let. There was nothing rude in relation to way your call was handled and you made no further attempt to discuss the issue with a senior member of staff , jumping straight on google to leave a review. Given we have just been awarded a British Property Award for customer service, i'm confident in the service we provide. Thanks Paul Birtles Estate Agents
