Tyson at Bracketts Tunbridge Wells was excellent; he carried out a full building survey at a house we were looking to buy. He offered a phone call to discuss the differences between the Homebuyers survey and a full building survey which was very helpful. He answered all my (probably silly) questions, without making me feel like I was asking ridiculous things! The report he provided was detailed and incredibly useful. He carried out a thorough survey highlighting a problem with a drain and recommended that we get a further drain report. Thank goodness we did as it highlighted a significant problem. I am extremely disappointed in the way I was treated by Bracketts staff. I was told they would get back to me twice with no response and had to visit office in person before getting any assistance. Becky was abrasive, rude and treated me as if I was beneath her. I had a query on a property for rent specific to the landlord. Becky said she was the one to make the decisions and it was clear she had no intention of contacting the landlord about my query. When collecting my contact details I corrected her on my email address she'd written incorrectly to which she replied, "I'll remember."

Always friendly, professional and patient, especially when we asked to see the property several times prior to making an offer. We purchased a property through Bracketts. While I understand that an agent's main duty is to their client, for the most part (with one exception) the communication was awful. By my rough calculations, about a quarter of our calls were returned, and about half our emails - and we were by no means bombarding them. Additionally the EPC and floorplan were both incorrect - admittedly this was produced by an outside company, but it should still be the agent's responsibility to ensure it's correct. This was our 5th time purchasing a property, and the only time we have been genuinely frustrated by the selling agent.
