GoogleCompletely unprofessional and rude. Made an appointment for house to be valued and put on the market. An hour later got a call back saying that they no longer are going to help as the previous owner of the house wasted there time and used stags agents instead of them. Staff in the phone was complete rude. Would never recommend using this agency.

I dealt with this personally and am therefore fully aware of the FACTS. The property in question is located to the west of Penzance. The owner contacted me last year to ask me to attend a no obligation and no charge meeting to discuss the sale of their house. Upon arrival there was nobody at the house but, some time later, (after a number of calls) the house was opened by who I presume to have been the gardener. After I attended the meeting the owner did not return any calls or an email that was sent pointing out that it was an 70 mile round trip to attend a meeting which they had arranged and were not at. The house was then advertised with another agent. When the property failed to sell we were contacted by the wife who wanted us to attend the house. I contacted her to say that there was no need for me to attend again as I had already seen the house at the end of last year. She was unaware that her husband had previously made contact. She confirmed the house would be coming back onto the market at a much higher price than that which it had previously been advertised at and not sold for. I declined to attend a 'second' meeting as I said that we would not be interested in offering the house at a higher price than that which we would recommend. About 10 minutes later the husband called back to complain that we would not be attending which I told him was entirely our prerogative given our unsatisfactory dealing with HIM previously. LILLICRAP CHILCOTT conduct over 1,500 free appraisals per annum across Cornwall and this is literally the only which I have cancelled in at least the last 10 years.... I'm afraid not all business is good business. The subject property has not actually been placed on the market since their post It is very easy indeed to post anonymous complaints with a view to endeavour to sabotage reputation and we deal with the very few complaints we receive very seriously. Highly recommend and we would definitely use again (although hopefully we won't be selling our dream house in a hurry!)

GoogleI have worked with Lillicrap Chilcott a number of times and have always received excellent service and support. For buying and selling houses in Cornwall I can't recommend them enough, especially if you're looking for the local knowledge only a regional agent can give. On my most recent purchase Guy Moorse has gone out of his way to help but this is the type of professionalism to expect from everyone in the company.

We are delighted with the price and the short timescale between instruction and completion.
