Whilst not actually being a client of this company - I was buying a property which they were marketing - they were very helpful throughout - keeping me more up to date on the process than my own solicitor! What this has done for me, is ensured that as and when I sell a property in the area that Lillicrap Chilcott cover then I will be using their services to look after my sale. We are delighted with the way that Lillicrap Chilcott managed the recent sale of our house. It is a unique property with many unusual attributes but from the moment that Ian Lillicrap came for an initial viewing we felt that they understood better than other agents it’s qualities and the kind of buyers it would appeal to. The marketing materials they produced were excellent including the airborne drone photographs which showed the house’s location in its beautiful setting. Throughout the sale process we had excellent communication with them and all the staff we dealt with knowledgeable and very professional. Particular thanks are due to Tom and Carla. “Outstanding” doesn’t come anywhere near to describing our experience of Lillicrap Chilcott in general, and of Jamie Cane in particular. We owe entirely to him the fact that we are now safely in what is the ideal and perfect home for us. It was Jamie who first made us aware of the property; and Jamie who saw everything through from start to finish. In particular, he showed that his commitment to his job is not just about money and prices, but about matching the right people to the right house, and the right sellers to the right buyers. Jamie encouraged us to feel that we were the right people for this house even though it was outside our budget; he encouraged us to feel that we could find a little more funds than we had intended to spend in order to secure it; but he also encouraged the sellers to feel that we were the right people to purchase, and that they could lower their asking-price by some significance in order to meet us. At the end of the transaction, the sellers told us that they were “delighted” with the way things had turned out - and so are we. I also was very taken by Jamie’s professional and very business-like way of dealing with us on the telephone, and the way in which anything which needed attention was attended to immediately. We are extremely grateful to him, and we feel he is a fantastic ambassador for Lillicrap Chilcott; and we hope his professionalism and expertise will be fully recognized by your firm. The only thing I would have liked to have been different was: I have still never met Jamie, nor set eyes on him. This was mainly Covid-related; but later this year when we are more unpacked and settled, I hope he will come down to visit us, meet us, and see what we have made of our new home.
