I recently sold my house in St Mawes through Lillicrap Chilcott, primarily dealing with Guy Morse. I am really grateful to him for making the experience so pleasant. From my very first contact with Guy I was convinced that he wanted not only to find a good buyer, but also to get the right new owners to fit both the house and the village. I felt that he was invested in the property and the process. His personal involvement in and knowledge of the village was instrumental to him delivering an excellent, holistic service. Guy was measured and calm throughout a rather complicated scenario. I really think whoever writes this estate agents description or location of the houses they are trying to sell should try harder. In the example below they describe St. Ives as a village…maybe back in the 1800’s it was a village but St. Ives is a medium sized town that is not “a short drive away” from Godolphin-not if you think 40 mins is a short drive. Try harder at your research and maybe you will appear a bit more professional. Also the Tate in London is world famous, the Tate in St. Ives is mediocre at best.

Fabulous service from both, however key to note it is clear you are buying in to the whole team with Lillicrap Chilcott and they have capacity to keep things moving quickly. These estates are liars. A property I was buying the sale fell through previously and when I asked why they gave a totally false reason of why the sale really fell through. I only found out after I exchanged contracts and personally asked the vendor when I met him why the sale fell through previously. Had I known this information when I asked honestly I would of cancelled the viewing to be honest. EDIT : In response to the reply this was 3 years ago I've left the review now as this come up in a conversation. Why would I make this up it's quite specific as well.

We have just sold our bungalow in Mylor Bridge through Lillicrap and Chilcott, who also sold our previous home in St Agnes. Our initial point of contact was Guy Morse who was very professional and provided an appraisal of how the sale of our property might fit into the current market place in terms we could easily understand. Once instructed he produced an excellent brochure with a description detailing the positive aspects of the house with great quality photographs. In the weeks following the launch we were inundated with viewings culminating in several offers that Guy helped us assess giving good advice. The viewings were all accompanied by Lillicrap and Chilcott staff who were always smartly presented, helpful and, thankfully, not prone to hard sell rhetoric. Jamie Bettsworth was involved in the administration of the sale and kept in touch updating us periodically regarding progress. We were very pleased with the service offered by Lillicrap and Chilcott and would recommend them. They are not the cheapest estate agent in Cornwall but the premium service they offer increases the chances of a better selling price, which compensates for their higher rate of commission.
