After an unsuccessful run with a local agent, we decided to instruct Lillicrap Chillcott and it's the best thing we ever did. From the initial contact with Dominic Skerry our feeling was that this agency is very different. The team are extremely professional, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, energetic and actually do what they say they will do. Communication is key when selling a home, and this is where Lillicrap Chillcott excelled. Peter Lightfoot was fantastic, and organised more viewings over one weekend than the other agent did in several months. The interest generated led to an offer in just a few weeks, and the process thereafter was so fast, smooth and stress free. Would highly recommend them as they are in a different league. Barry Fry was a professional and amenable agent from the outset. Living in West Cornwall, he had helped my brother find a retirement home in Penzance. We were selling our house with LC, it had been on the market previously some years ago with another agent and attracted many viewings but no sale. It appeared on BBC Escape to the country again many viewings but still no sale; We decided to rent it out, for reasons not appropriate on here ; after 7 years of it being rented out there was a lot to be done to make it suitable to put on the market, a daunting task ahead we feared; so we now needed someone who would guide us honestly through what could have been a really difficult and traumatic time, we wanted someone who could advice us with their knowledge and expertise, someone who knows what to repair, replace, and what would be a fair price. LC came up as the most highly recommended from many friends who have bought and sold with them over the years. From that first phone call at the onset of our communications with Dominic and the team at LC we have had the uppermost professional support, advice and such courteous manners. We were kept informed at every stage of viewings, we were updated regularly, treated with honesty, respect, integrity and openness which we value highly. There was never an occasion where we did not feel we couldn't pick up the phone to ask any question and even though some of our ideas or questions may seem trivial to some to the team at LC they were always answered efficiently and promptly. we were called back when we left messages, our emails were answered promptly, there were no delays excuses or surprises we got exactly what we wanted what was promised and that was a sale on our house, and in a very short time frame. The advertising was excellent, they have ideas of who may be interested in this type of property and we feel that worked really well for us to achieve our outcomes, we could not have chosen a more suitable agent. This company is unique in its attitude, it doesn't offer false hope, like putting a higher price on to then drop a few thousand pounds to attract its buyers, its very straightforward upfront truthfulness, it gives you a very personal service and guides you every step of the way, we will certainly be using this fabulous company again and will highly recommend them to our colleagues family and friends.

Review is based on the recent purchase of a property through Lillicrap Chilcott. Glen (Truro office) was extremely helpful in helping us find our beautiful new home. He spent many many months updating us with new properties that were coming on the market and never gave up trying to find us the home we wanted. After finding the perfect house he was extremely pro active in helping us keep the purchase going after we had a couple of sales collapse. We got there eventually though and are very grateful for his and the previous owners patience and understanding whilst we sorted things out. The token gift of "new address" cards was a nice touch, but the picture we received from them today was a beautiful gesture and will be hung with pride on the wall. Thank you :)
