LC are probably the most expensive agents in the region but they are, I believe, good value for money. The service is professional, efficient and friendly and the organisation is well staffed. Our sale took almost a year, however, knowing our area and the limited attractions of an 'out of the way' rural coastal village we fully expected a long haul. LC really came into their own when a prospective purchaser turned up. Tom Mcgrath from the onset, was in constant touch with: our and our purchaser's solicitor, the purchasers themselves and the estate agents who were selling our onward purchase. He took a genuine interest in progress and I noted that often his communications to us were penned well before 8am. Tom also facilitated the sale by recommending, to the purchasers: Solicitors, surveyors. and other professionals. Tom obviously maintains a close contact with local Solicitors and conveyors and I'm certain that this helped to facilitate our sale. Mr & Mrs B Campbell-Taylor.

Lillicrap Chilcott were the estate agents acting for the vendor in our house purchase and I can say that we had very little trouble with them at all. Our first viewing was with a weekender who wasn't particularly aware of the house or it's build features so they were very helpful putting us in contact with the vendor directly for a second viewing. When it came to pushing the conveyancing company along with the deal they were also helpful. I've also heard good things about Lillicrap from a vendor's point of view.

Andrew Chilcott helped us to make the decision to sell our house in the spring of 2018, with the aim of completing a sale by mid January 2019 as the house was a holiday let. They secured a number of offers around the asking price, which confirmed the value of the property. Eventually, the principal buyer in the best position to proceed was given the opportunity to exchange. Throughout the process, Andrew, Jack Greenwood and Mark Bracey acted as excellent communicators and facilitated the answers to many of the questions posed by the buyer. When the latter came up a little short on the finances, they advised us on strategy which they then executed effectively and efficiently. Ultimately, the gap was sufficiently closed and we were able to agree a sale on terms acceptable to us. Throughout, Lillicrap Chilcott's team communicated effectively, advised us wisely and facilitated the process beyond that which we expected, helping to turn round questions in hours, rather than days. This was pivotal in sustaining the momentum. They may not be the cheapest, but the quality of the service is exceptional and we sold our house at a good price in very unsettled market conditions. I get the impression they think we are not looking really and are wasting their time, when Weare actually looking for an investment opportunity. Will not be using Lillicrap Chilcott in the future.

I dont want to sound over exuberant because that would make me sound like an Estate Agent! However credit where credit is due. Lillycrap Chilcott (LC) were interviewed along with two other of Truro's highly acknowledged Property Agents to see which of them best met our needs and expectations. Many people were quizzical of our final selection. It is funny how your friends and neighbours always seem to have an opinion about 'your choice' of agents when selling you home. "Why did you choose LC?" Why didnt you go with xxx? Etc. I found this questioning a wonderful opportunity to put them straight on a few facts of life... LC were at interview head and shoulders above their competitors. Thoughtful, rational and above all confident of their appraisal of our property and the timescale and price we were likely to achieve. I was adamant that what ever the situation that I be kept informed at least once a week as to viewings and the current market situation. It was an easy appointment to make. On a weekly basis the well knit team in Truro would update me on viewings and opportunities. They were always considerate and helpful and above all knowledgeable about our property. The team were faultless in their execution and within the time frame that Andrew and Mark thought likely for a sale. The sale was handled by Peter Lightfoot who was what I call an endearing old school agent. He was totally familiar with all aspects of house selling including the potential pitfalls that delays and unanswered questions can have on a successful sale. He made things happen and ensured that there were no loose ends or potential pitfalls along the sales journey. In all during the post sales discussions he must have contacted me at least 20 times - always making sure that both ends of the sale were being managed and prodded when things looked even slightly precarious. I can not recommend LC highly enough and thank all of the team for their efforts. Well done.

Andrew Chilcott has sold a previous home for us, and recently sold our latest home, a high value property. We knew that Andrew would give us outstanding attention, and that he did, with frequent feedback about enquiries from prospective buyers. We were particularly impressed with the high quality of the brochure which he produced, with photographs which were outstanding. A buyer was found in a short period of time, and we were extremely satisfied from start to finish.
