Poor service I felt taken advantage of as a first time buyer that didn’t know any better in a housing market that is already difficult to get into. Was told I needed to pay deposit before I could do a survey and then when the survey came back with over 16 major issues was refused a refund of the deposit Wouldn’t let me revise my offer without further cost to me and then was told I wouldn’t necessarily be entitled to a refund of deposit even if the seller didn’t accept my revised offer and that’s when you actually manage to get hold of anyone as they tended to stop replying to emails when i raised any issues. Better off sticking with high street estate agents.

We can however comment that we understand your frustration, especially as a first-time buyer navigating the complexities of the housing market. We would like to clarify a few points regarding your experience. We'd first like to assure you that we are not a scam business. We always encourage buyers to review the terms outlined in the buyer exclusivity contract (which enters you into an exclusivity period during which you and the seller of the property are protected by gazumping and abrupt withdrawals, respectively). There are specific conditions in your agreement which details how refunds of the reservation deposit are handled. In this case, the survey revealed only some potential areas for further investigation, but there were no structural issues identified, and no down valuation from your lender, who was satisfied to proceed with lending. As per the surveyor’s advice, it was required that you take further investigations and obtain quotes for anything relevant to any confirmed issues, to facilitate a potential renegotiation or revisit the terms that allow a refund of the reservation deposit. In the absence of any substantial evidence warranting the refund valid, we could not go against the terms of the agreement between you and the seller. We do hope that this at the least provides you with clarification and if you would like us to comment further in detail to assist you through this, we can do so internally ensuring your privacy remains protected. The sales team at Sprinbok properties sell a service that they are unable to deliver. The contract will differ from what the sales person has told you and they will not stand by agreements made. They did not even bother to put a "For Sale" board on our property. They will try to justify their lack of ability by saying that your house is too highly priced, even though they originally state that you are "aggressively below the home report value". The negotiators have a very poor manner and will not find a buyer for your property, merely ask you to drop the price when 1 does not come along. Do not use, go to your local Estate Agent.

He has worked evenings and weekends trying to secure us a sale and despite the setup usually being a weekly check-in, he was always available to talk concerns through or discuss areas we disagreed onWhen we had just about given up on buying our dream home, he contacted the agent himself and secured it for us while locking in the sale of our home, which we are over the moon about.We sold our house for a lot less than we hoped based on prior valuations, but we (nearly) have what we want and we knew we wouldn't get market value going for a quick sale.
