I had a truly disappointing experience with Foxtons canary wharf. We trusted them and rented a property that was in poor condition, especially given the high rent we were paying. Within a couple of months, the microwave and then the fridge stopped working. When we informed Foxtons, who managed the property, they claimed they needed the landlord’s approval to fix these issues. Unfortunately, nothing was ever repaired. The process of getting our deposit back was a nightmare, taking nearly three months to finally receive our money. Thanks to the deposit protection. The lack of care and attention from Foxtons is appalling; they clearly prioritize landlords over tenants. In the last few months of our tenancy, Foxtons agents frequently brought potential tenants to view the property and blatantly lied about its condition. It’s no surprise that the country is struggling when companies like Foxtons are more concerned with profits than people.

If you want the perfect agent,go and meet Rebeca Gonzalez. Intelligent,kind,persistent to do a good job,not just to sell,so she will do everything to find what you need and want.I have to admit that I give her a hard time because I have special needs and likes or dislikes as I have a sick and disabled at the moment husband.So,when we have the location,I don't have the view.Rebeca tries,we have them ,but then my husband has not the pool. Rebeca tries again,but then we are out of budget.Rebeca is there again,to run and try more to fit everything together,to meet my busy schedule,to inform for new properties,to give positive encouragement that we are getting closer.And when we go for viewings,she is always confident on her high heels, very careful inside the properties,and an excellent driver.

Extremely poor handling of deposit refund, lack of accountability and communication.

I moved out of my flat on 25 September 2025, and my landlord immediately approved the full return of my deposit. I provided my bank details to Foxtons on 3 October, and the online portal confirmed that the refund would be processed within 5, 7 working days.

Two months after the end of a short let Foxtons still hadn't returned the deposit and failed to answer all correspondence. No issues or deductions have been suggested; they simply don't respond and I had to raise a dispute under the deposit protection scheme.

Foxtons took over the property I was renting in the middle of my tenancy, and then magically "lost" over £120 of my security deposit. Originally I was missing over £450(!) but the morning after I sent an email about the missing money I suddenly received another transfer from a different account. What a coincidence right.... Apparently they have no idea what has happened. They only thing the office did when I contacted them was give me the property manager's email. She told me "she would look into it" and then never came back to me.
