One of the worst and unethical agencies I've dealt with - signed a tenancy agreement, the landlord pulled out, and Foxton wiped the entire tenancy agreement from the portal and wouldn't provide any written confirmation of the rescinded offer. When we tried to call them to get help with the above they were so unhelpful and rude!! Got friends who have dealt with Foxton and absolutely hate them. Go somewhere else!

Shaz and Sonny worked so hard selling my flat and kept me updated on viewing feedback regularly. My sale ended up being quite complicated with EWS1 issues and then a delay to my sale after my tenant refused to move out. This was very stressful and Shaz went above and beyond to resolve the issues as they appeared and was very proactive making sure the buyers were also kept updated.Whenever a problem appeared Shaz found a solution! I can’t recommend Foxtons highly enough and am so thankful to Shaz and Sonny for all their hard work making sure the deal finally went through .

Non-existent communication. Viewings done by an unprepared team: didn't know level of service charge, exposure, if the appliances were new or not, size of the flat or rooms. One claimed we had replaced the kitchen (we hadn't), another that the Hue Lights we installed were staying in the flat for the buyer (we never said that).

I recently sold my property with the assistance of Oliver Mint and Sam Barker. Both Ollie and Sam were a pleasure to deal with. At the early stages, Ollie provided assistance and guidance on the sale process and advising me where there were issues with a lack of communication from solicitors. Sam was able to find a buyer and kept me informed throughout the process with regular updates. Due to a lack of communication from the buyer’s solicitor, Sam was imperative when it came to chasing the buyer’s side and his persistence ensured the sale went through. Ollie and Sam were both imperative in ensuring the sale went through. Three words - don’t do it

We listed our house with foxtons and the service has been abysmal. There’s been next to no effort or movement with trying to sell the house, no communications with any options etc. You get an account online which shows upcoming viewings - almost all viewings ‘booked’ haven’t actually happened and they don’t contact us to confirm it either. You expect a lot from an estate agent with their level of commission - dont bother.

It's been an absolute pleasure to work with Sam when I was looking to buy a property. He's great at communication and is very quick to respond to your messages. We started off with Sam trying to understand what my ideal property is and then he made some targeted suggestions based on that understanding. He was very quick to arrange viewings and keep me posted on the timeline side of things. As a first time buyer, I particular benefitted a lot from his in depth market knowledge and his guidance on the process. He is very professional yet friendly at the same time. I feel that the experience was negative

I put my flat up for sale with my Foxtons, I was going to go with another agent but they were very pushy and said how they managed to sell better than anyone so I went with them. I was under the impression my flat would go straight up but after I signed the contract it took them 2 weeks to take photos and put them up, in the meantime they put up a video of the flat from a mid-term inspection where it looked absolutely disgusting. I had never seen this video and I don't see why it would be allowed to be put up without my permission, I asked for it to be removed, they didn't and it took them nearly the 2 weeks to remove it. The photos they took were adequate but not particularly great, I was pretty disappointed. I felt that the price was extremely over inflated (like all their prices) but respected they knew better than me, but when every single person gave feedback that it was way overpriced and no one showed any interest I became quite embarrassed. I found it very hard to contact my sales agent and just gave up most times after leaving numerous messages. I heard from my agent 10 times more before I signed with them than I did during my contract. When I gave notice 28 days before the end after having no interest, I was reminded how they are the number one and warned that going to another agent would not solve the issue. Their commission is so much more than everyone else but I feel my experience with their sales agent was extremely poor and I can't believe I had no interest in my nice flat. I feel I made a mistake going with them and would caution anyone thinking of them. Also I rented my flat with them for nearly 2 decades and my last tenant emailed them notice which they said they did not receive until the next day so they extended the end date to one day beyond the end of the month, they then charged me a management fee of £9 for the one day (and she paid £1 something rent for that one day). I will never rent with them again due to the complete lack of transparency with regards to money. (As for the excuse that the housing market is quiet I put my other property up for sale at the same time and it sold within 2 weeks, but then again the photos were really good and the price was reasonable).
