GoogleI have had numerous issues with Foxtons over the past six months. I have been a long term client of Foxtons and have had a very poor recent experience where the agent misrepresented the flat to the tenants and has created a lot of issues for both the tenant and I. They are unresponsive and unreliable and seemingly unable to provide a basic form of service that they dearly charge for. I will not use them going forward as they have been given ample opportunity to help rectify the issue which they have not. They continue holding onto my funds which I have had to continually chase and am out of pocket. Really disappointing experience- would avoid this agent at all costs in the Canary Wharf and Bow branches. I will be putting in a formal complaint with the property ombudsman. I have been transferring an existing tenancy with Foxtons as managing agent. Their unhelpfulness and lack of knowledge in the process is staggering. I would avoid them at all costs. They have hindered the process and been difficult and obstructive throughout.

I use Foxtons to manage the lettings of my apartments. Titia Wootton, for a number of years now, has been my "Manager" and I know that whatever my question, Titia will come back to me with a solution almost imediately. Even though my properties are in different Foxtons office areas, having Titia as my single "go to" person, has made my position as an owner much easier than it was in the past.

GooglePeter and Kacper at Foxton's were very accomodating. They went above and beyond to make the house sale process as smooth as possible for my elderly mother, who is not a native English speaker. I would totally recommend them for anyone who is looking to sell their house. They were very friendly and had very good customer service.

Massive shout out to our wonderful agent Mia L, who made us feel so comfortable during our viewing and went above and beyond to help us sign everything as quickly as possible. Mia has such a warm and friendly energy, we knew we were in safe hands from the moment we met her. Great communication, and made sure we knew which steps to take and when. GoogleMy husband and I had a wonderful experience working with Tee from Foxtons. It was a bit difficult finding a flat to rent from the States, but the second I spoke with Tee, she was on it! I was so grateful to that connection and felt like someone on the other side of the pond was really looking out for us. Beyond her scope, she was even helpful regarding areas to live and close transportation which were important considerations for us. Tee went above and beyond to discuss flats with my husband I and was relentless in pursuing the best deal that could be made. Tee is a fine representation of being service oriented and willingness to go to any length to ensure her clients are 100% satisfied.

GoogleI’m so glad I worked with Kapcer Wieki. From the very first day, he made everything so much easier than I expected. Any time I emailed or texted, he got back to me right away, honestly faster than anyone I’ve ever worked with (I bought my first flat and we completed in 3 months). He kept the whole process moving when I was sure it would drag on forever. Whenever there was a chance something might slow us down, he was already on it before I even had to ask and followed up with all the relevant parties. That kind of follow-through took a huge weight off my shoulders. On top of all that, Kapcer is just a genuinely nice person to work with, friendly, patient, and never made me feel like I was asking too many questions. Thank you so much!

TrustpilotIf you are a landlord, my personal opinion: AVOID
One immediate point. It's no good Foxtons replying on Trust pilot asking for 'more information so they can follow up'. I have sent them endless information - as I imagine every other frustrated customer has. Please be wary of all the positive reviews. I have my doubts as to their authenticity. This company are charming on onboarding. I have been a landlord with them for three and a half years, so I have broad experience - not just experience of the initial process as many of these reviews are. At the start, they love your 'lovely property'. They are persistent and responsive, very sweet. Nothing is too much trouble. Similarly they schmooze (and pressurise) tenants. They are very good at this. You will notice many reviews mentioning specific people and branches - that's because they ask for them. Once you're onboarded, if you have any difficulties at all, they disappear. Emails take weeks to reply to - consistently. Even emails labelled as 'complaint' are not responded to within their own policy - it took them months to get back to me about a very serious and misleading piece of information I was given that incorrectly interpreted the contract which they drew up. This nearly led to serious consequences with my tenant. If you take them on as property managers, they will take weeks to send you quotes for works to be done. The quotes, once they do arrive, will be about 50% more expensive than if you arranged the works yourself. You will already be paying extra for 'management' but there is no eye on keeping costs good value for landlords. Their quotes are so prohibitively expensive that I ended up arranging things myself and cancelling their management service - it was unusably slow and expensive. They placed unwarranted holds on tenancy deductions which meant that both myself and the tenant experienced significant stress and delay. The inventory service was absolutely rubbish - missed so much detail (even missing that a whole piece of furniture was missing!). The inventory is so important and they messed it up. They even arranged for the inventory clerk to arrive before the tenant had moved out. They really don't know what they are doing - or they are too big and impersonal to get it right. Now that the tenancy has ended I've been whacked with yet another fee that I didn't agree to. I've made repeated enquiries about this, again with no response. I'm busy now building a case to refer to the Property Ombudsman. I'm busy and really could do without this extra work. I've given Foxtons many, many thousands of pounds and I have no idea what for. I have no idea where the positive reviews have come from. I'm never using them again, and I am very glad to be free of them. I've been letting my property for 20 years and honestly - it was less hassle and SO MUCH cheaper doing it myself via OpenRent. That's where I'm returning to.
