Cornelius has been helping me to search for a house to rent for the past 3 weeks around Canary Wharf. Although I never successfully rent anything through him, he was a superb agent! He is a very hardworking staff and a great agent to deal with. He knows how to make his customers feel comfortable sitting in the car with him for the first time. That is really an extra bonus. In addition, he ensured that he understood what my needs were before forwarding any prospective houses to me. This saved a lot of my time as I then didn’t need to visit those unnecessary houses that definitely weren’t suitable. In short he does spend the time to cater to one’s needs. He also kept me in the loop during the 2weeks when there really isn’t anything suitable in the market. That made me feel really good as it shows that he hasn’t forgotten about me. Lastly I would like to stress that the reason I didn’t rent anything from Foxton was because we ended up changing our minds from renting to buying elsewhere.

Foxtons took over the property I was renting in the middle of my tenancy, and then magically "lost" over £120 of my security deposit. Originally I was missing over £450(!) but the morning after I sent an email about the missing money I suddenly received another transfer from a different account. What a coincidence right.... Apparently they have no idea what has happened. They only thing the office did when I contacted them was give me the property manager's email. She told me "she would look into it" and then never came back to me.

Avoid renting from this agency at all costs. I rented an apartment from them, and it was completely unfit for human habitation, no heating, no hot water, and infested with bugs. Despite calling them daily to address these issues, they failed to provide any solutions. To make matters worse, they charged me for heating that didn’t work and were unresponsive during emergencies. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.

Regrettably, my experience with this letting agency has been overwhelmingly negative. The professionalism and level of support provided are severely lacking. Internal gossip among staff members about tenants and communication mishaps have been distressing. During a recent phone call at 10:35, a customer service advisor audibly ridiculed our inquiry about scheduled viewings, displaying a lack of courtesy and respect. Despite our attempts to address these issues through email, the Operations Manager, Ketan, has consistently ignored our concerns, exacerbating the situation. Overall, the branch appears poorly managed, with staff members displaying disrespect towards tenants. While initial contact during property searches may be prompt, the agency’s responsiveness declines significantly when dealing with resale inquiries, often resulting in disrespectful and inconsistent communication. In summary, I would caution against engaging with this letting agency due to their unprofessionalism and disregard for tenant satisfaction.

We were lucky enough to be able to work with David Morgan through our rather chaotic flat haunt. He was above and beyond throughout the entire process from start to finish.
