allAgentsThe Ellis&Co Tottenham
The Ellis&Co Tottenham team were a pleasure to deal with when we rented our home from them. Since moving in there have been a couple maintenance issues which were responded too very quickly by the maintenance team. Everyone was always friendly, helpful and very professional. I was very satisfied with the service, they always returned my calls the same day.
I would have no hesitation in using them again or recommending them to other people. Thank you Emilia and Kay.

allAgentsMustafa was the third agent
Mustafa was the third agent we used to sell our property and by far the best. He was open and upfront about everything, always gave feedback on viewings, returned our calls and emails promptly and was always polite and pleasant to deal with. On an extremely stressful exchange day, when our buyer was mucking us about and it all looked like it might go pear shaped, Mustafa stepped in even though he was off sick at home. He talked our buyer round to seeing that his demands were unreasonable and that the original completion date was the best one. You can't ask for more than that. I would highly recommend Mustafa if you are looking to sell your home or buy one.

allAgentsI cannot believe Ellisandco
I cannot believe Ellisandco has received awards. Or perhaps this branch is not representative of the overall group. I just know that I have never in my life had such bad service. Although I am a tenant I am looking to buy and will not recommend to anyone to buy through them. I rented my flat last year. It has been an uphill battle all the way. Kay (forgot his surname), the agent who is responsible for looking after tenant's queries does not reply to communications or take weeks (LITERALLY) . I am currently waiting for a leaky window to be fixed that they have failed now to fix for three months. I have had cold showers for two nights in a row. My complaints of the shower have fallen on deaf ears in the past. And let me not start about the continuous fire alarms that went off in the middle of the night and the response times to that last year. It was absolute hell. We don't have an emergency number, communication gets blatantly ignored. I have for instance requested the Multiple Occupancy license number from the agency now for this property. Guess what. No response whatsoever. I think my next step is to go to the newspapers that gave these awards to Ellisandco. Someone should do something about this. Mustafa is the agent that let the property to me when I signed the lease. When I phone him when Kay does not respond, his only response is, is that he does not deal with the maintenance aspect and then hands things over to Kay. Could someone please let me know who I can contact about this. Is Ellisandco a franchise or owner owned agency?

GoogleI used to have really good regards of this agency cause at the beginning of my tenancy we used to get everything fixed in a very timely manner. A couple of years later everything changed when the building was no longer in warranty with the development company. After that we had to chase the agency constantly in order to get things fixed and actually when we left our flat managed by them, still a few tickets for repairs had been open for months and un-actioned. In this branch there's also an agent (potentially the director) called Hasan who is a very stereotypical sales man: he will tell you all you want to hear on the moment of viewing the apartment, but he will be quite rude and useless later on if you need something to be fixed once you've already signed the contract, stay away from him if you can. Also beware when you leave the apartment that they will put lots of efforts on finding minor issues with the state of the "end of tenancy clean" and charge you completely nonsensical amounts for it. Make sure to dispute these amounts since they won't even put up a fight to accept your counteroffer.

Dear Xavier Thank you for your review. All reviews are welcome, good or bad. In this instance I agree that the time to resolve your repair was not acceptable. We had requested that the landlord resolve these issues several times and he had promised to address them. Despite our numerous requests he had not supported us and refused to use our trusted recommended contractors. He used his contractors that let us down several times. This was indeed frustrating for both of us. Please note that our checkout report is handled by an independent inventory clerk. They are AIIC certified and insured and adhere to the highest standards. We estimate deductions based on their reports. Our process is fair and transparent. If you were not happy, you did of course have the option to appeal. We wish you the best for the future and it was a pleasure to have you as a tenant. You were a great tenant and we will be happy to help you in the future. Best Regards

A fantastic experience using Ellis and Co. We purchased a house marketed by them. Smooth sales progression, no hounding of us as purchasers and an understanding approach (slight delay in our mortgage valuation was met by the agents with patience). Always prompt in liaising with vendors on our behalf, and excellent negotiating skills. Success for all parties involved. Thank you Mustafa and Umut for all your efforts. Gentleman rather than typical cowboy 'just out of school' agents.

Mustafa went beyond the call of duty to resolve an issue with my tenancy. He put a lot of time and energy to ensure that I got off to a good start with my tenancy. Moving house can be stressful, but Mustafa was there to help ease some of that stress for me. He responded to emails, texts and calls promptly. He has excellent interpersonal skills which is essential to providing a good customer service.

From our first telephone conversation to the closure of the sale and collection of keys, Mustafa has been consistently pleasant yet professional, and has kept me fully informed throughtout the process. I intend to work with Mustafa and his team again for any future property sales, purchases or lettings, and am thankful to have found a superb local estate agent.

GoogleI have been a landlord since 2010 and I worked with this estate agency for 4 1/2 years (since 2016) and they have managed 2 properties for me during this period.
I had really bad experience with one of my property which has costed me over £13k of damages & other losses in 3.5 years.
Ellis & co had an existing tenants (couple) who were looking for bigger flat as they were expecting a new born so they needed a bigger place. This couple were existing customer of Ellis & Co and came highly recommended by Ellis & Co when presented to me. As they were existing customer no credit report / reference was done based on their new circumstances.
Within a few months these tenants stop paying rent (no commination with me) and it was very difficult and stressful time for me especially as I was on business trip. I kept asking for the reference /credit report and never receive anything for me to see. Eventually they paid some of the rent due and we ended cutting the contract short. In addition not getting the rent the tenants made a lot of damages on the furniture & blinds. As the deposit was used to cover the some rent arears therefor was no deposit left to cover any of the damages which was in the thousands.
Of course Ellis & Co made sure they took every penny which was owed to them. When I questions why they took all the money and no compensation for me the answer was “we spend a lot of time on this”!! Poor them!!
This was followed by a second set of tenants shortly after,
These 2 guys were flushing a lot of debride in the toilet and eventually blocked and there was a horrible flood which caused a lot damage to the flat
Of course I do not blame Ellis & Co for this incident, however they committed to help me with the insurance claim which did not happen and they mentioned they will send me information from another insurance claim which had similar issue and had successful claim but of curse nothing was sent me and reminded Ellis & Co several times.
Overall, the communication is very poor. It has happened that I had to call 10 times and left messages and send several e mails to get updates with no reply. When I e mail the office manager to get updates then I get a call to say that very little has been wrong from their side and that they are the best agency in the area!! Very hard to have a conversation when someone thinks this way, I have worked in service industry all whole my life I would never answer an un-happy customer this way. Always very frustrating.
In summary, after 3.5 years I got my property back, with ruined furniture, all walls were discolour, damaged blinds, missing rent, missing keys, missing furniture and the worst part was that agencies could not handle deposits and no deductions were made. Overall this has costed me over £13’000.
Other negative point is that they charge 2, 3 times the price of any maintenance issues which needs to done. So in the end Ellis & Co is supposed to manage my property but I have ended up manage the maintenance myself in order to avoid these high maintenance costs.
The 2 good points are that their accounts department is always very professional and efficient and the rent negotiator is very good.

Hi George
Thank you for your review. All reviews good or bad are truly appreciated. It gives us a good opportunity review our processes to ensure you our customer get the best service.
The incident you have described is a complicated one. It really concerns a defect in the plumbing of your unit that causes toilet waste to overflow onto the floor. You described yourself that this happened to you when you lived there.
As we are not the building managers of the block there was very little we could do to improve this situation. We tried to help, but as you know the insurance company or the Building managers did not have an obligation to speak to us, they was very little we could do. The tenants also endured much discomfort as a direct result of this issue. In recognition of this you kindly agreed to return the full deposit to them.
I am sorry to hear the insurance have not paid for the refurbishment, as you will appreciate this is out of our control.
Thank you for noting the excellence of our account and letting department, they will be thrilled to hear this. May I wish the all the best, and look forward to working with you in the future.

GoogleWorst communication I’ve ever experienced with an estate agency. I chased several times to see a property and in the end had to give up. First enquiry through Zoopla, no reply so did it again. Then called and spoke to someone who took my details again because she didn’t have access to their system and promised someone would call back. They didn’t. Another email and another call where someone apologised and claimed they booked a viewing and that I would get confirmation. Of course I didn’t. Have no idea what is wrong with these people. Hoping I never see another house I want that is on their books.

GoogleAbsolutely awful! If i could give 0 stars i would. Lived in a property for 12 years and the agency always kept the landlords side! Only repainted the property once which was 7 years ago and only had to pay for materials! We fixed everything in the house for free and only asked that he covers material costs which was always an issue. They never do anything in a proper legal way, when we had damp in our house and a professional said we need venting in the bathroom and check pipes under flooring in a bedroom. The agency and landlord did nothing about it and to this day nothing has been fixed. They didn't ask us to move out they just took us to court where they lost the case because they didn't serve the s21 notice! Absolutely horrible agency DO NOT RECOMMEND.
