We have recently completed our house purchase and can only thank "Joshua Clark" and the whole Team at "Sharman Quinney" for helping us getting over the line as FTB's. Josh in particular has gone to extreme lengths to get us there and has worked tirelessly on our case which under any other circumstances could easily have failed. Had to give one star when wanted to give a zero.Sharman Quinney is a company to avoid at any cost.This estate agents sign you up for a 6 months contract when other agencies sign you upfor 3months.There is a 14 day cooling off periodwhich is law.For those 2 weeks there were numerous viewings and an offer which was accepted then after the 14 days the offer fell through as the buyers could apparently not get a mortgage.After that you are in a 6 month contract then the viewings were few and far between.when you chased them to ask them why it hasn’t sold when other houses in your street were sold with other agencies the lies then started and when the 6 months contract was almost at an end and you told them you would not be renewing it, the property had miraculously sold for considerable less than asking price.months after there was no completion date in sight and endless excuses l removed it off the market.

We used the Thrapston branch of Sharman Quinney for our house move last year. Having previously had really poor service from another estate agent, we were really pleased to work with Kerry, Mariella, James, Johnson and Lucy. From valuation to sale, viewing to purchase they expertly handled the whole process. As a bonus, they introduced us to Leanne who somehow actually managed to make the arranging of a mortgage fun! Throughout the process the team worked hard to secure the sale, but also appreciated us a humans and the inevitable emotional rollercoaster house moving presents. I had to give it 1 star as you can’t write a review otherwise, so in reality I give them 0 stars!! This company is an absolute sham!! Since the 10th July 2024 my elderly farther has been without hot water and heating, he is boiling pans and the kettle to wash his pots and pans, and carrying boiling water upstairs so he can have some kind of a wash!!! This is absolutely ridiculous disgusting and unacceptable, this company don’t give a fig, all you get is ‘oh, I’ve only just been given this case’ or ‘we are trying to contact the landlord’, this is utter rubbish.Duty of care, none existent !! If you are a landlord I advise you stay away from this farse of a company and seeking renting or selling elsewhere, if you were looking to rent or buy, forget it, stay as far away from this …( I can’t even call it a company)… array of people that do or don’t answer phones or emails under the name of sharman Quinny. My 0 stars stands firm! Avoid at all costs.

Send three enquiries about a cottage I absolutely loved, never got a response from the Thrapston branch. I also emailed the main Sharman Quinney office to ask and they told me they had forwarded my email to the Thrapston branch, but I still never got a response. I don't know if they actually want to sell houses but I have a house to sell and I will not be putting it on the market with Sharman Quinney! In response to the below. I wouldn’t give them a star. Service for rental appalling. No communication no reports sent till end of tenancy. House was left disgusting. They didn’t do reports or follow up on anything. Jay sat on mobile all time while Valentino made excuses for everything they got paid to manage!!!! JOKE
