On the whole a good experience

Can not fault the start of the process, The Sales staff were brilliant, we felt they were honest and helpful, always coming back to us when we had questions. They didn't really have to sell our house as we were lucky enough to sell to our first viewer. We were not impressed by the, all be it, indirect pressure we had from their panel solicitors, despite our clearly stating we would not use them, they kept trying to get us to and labelling it as a 'mistake' if that is the case take note of our instruction that we are not using them the first time and do not continue to try and get us to sign up with panel solicitors.Once sold, although our Sales Progressor was very friendly and a nice person, we felt everything slipped from this point, we could rarely actually speak with her, we could always leave a message but she rarely called back, preferring it seemed, to email. She did eventually provide an adequate service and get things moving for us, but we felt only because we would not give up and continuously chased things.However, despite the disappointment of the after sale process, on the whole we had a good experience, the staff were all friendly and we can understand why M&B have a good reputation. We would definitely recommend them as they are, on the whole, very good at what they do.

After our initial discussions he moved quickly and set us up with viewings of properties, and although we didn't buy through Wards at this time, I wouldn't hesitate to make contact again in the future. Take responsibility for your choice of solicitor

This is my second experience with M&B in 6 months. I was happy to go with them a second time, even happier that I didn't use the solictors that they regularly work with the second time around, but successfully worked with Girlings instead. It's true there are a few bolt-on costs for photos, ID checks, EPC rating, but we were made aware of them before signing the contract. Apart from a bit of a slow start when you're so keen to lock in an offer, the committed and longer term staff were always very helpful. Having worn Rebecca Gravener out with the previous sale, her help was less necessary this time. All the same, once again she was on the case before the rest of us every step of the way. Lynette also, charming and helpful when the buyers visited for a final view.

Wards of Birchington sold my property for me in relatively quick time and were professional throughout. However, my particular thanks must go to Sally Bryant, their Sales Progressor, who was the only one able to keep me up to date about what was going on further down the chain in what became a very protracted process, even though it involved a relatively short chain of properties (4 in all, all wanting to move ASAP). Why it took nine months for my sale and purchase to complete I will never know. But thanks to Sally’s tenacity she was able to liaise with the solicitors and the other sales progressors involved, and give me regular updates, and the hope that we would eventually complete, which we did. However, without being able to rely on Sally to keep me advised, the whole process would have been much harder to deal with.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value
