This review won’t even come close to express our thanks to Gaye and Lyn at Wisteria Gate and Croudace Homes. We first reserved our new home in April and despite selling our current home 4 times since January and the chain breaking down for 3 of them, Gaye and Lyn and Croudace have gone out of their way to try and ensure that we continue to succeed in buying our new Croudace home! We are very hopeful for it being this time lucky and we can be moved in soon! Thank you again for all that you have and are continuing to do to help us xx

We bought a Croudace Home 7 months ago. We mainly dealt with Alison and Marta during the buying process and they were great. Always available to answer any queries we had, and kept on top of everything for us.Since moving in we’ve had a few snags so have had to contact the after care team - our contact is Daniela. She always replies promptly and gets any jobs booked in with the various departments. Paul and Dave have fixed a few things for us and are always lovely. Very professional, always making sure the job is done to a high standard.So far we are very happy with our Croudace experience - long may it continue!

Willowbrook Park Development, Didcot - Sam recently came to our home to repair a damp patch/hole in our ceiling caused by a leak from the upstairs tub. His meticulous attention to detail and dedication to restoring the ceiling to its original condition impressed us immensely. Not only did he make the repair seamlessly blend in, but he also took extra care to source the exact paint color used in the upstairs bathroom, ensuring everything matched perfectly. First Time Buyers - AMAZING Experience

My boyfriend and I have just bought our first home, which was built by Croudace at Willowbrook Park Didcot. The whole experience has been straightforward thanks to the excellent sales team. We mainly dealt with Charlotte and Laurie, who were both really kind and helpful, and they were always happy to answer any questions we had. Due to this process being new to us, they made it stress-free and very enjoyable. Overall, we would thoroughly recommend Croudace Homes. Their houses are beautiful, a lot of thought has gone into the layouts of each house style, and their hand-over stage is nice and simple. We can't wait to fully move in over the next few weeks! Beautiful new houses

I’ve visited the Croudace homes marketing suite and show homes a number of times at the Brooks in Burghfield Common. The sales consultant I always see is so lovely, friendly and helpful, answering my questions honestly and thoroughly. She has shown us a number of houses on the development so I can make a clear and informed choice on the houses that are available. She goes over and above to help me. The houses are beautiful although the smaller Shipton is quite small to fit 3 bedrooms upstairs, but the living space is good and the show homes give a good representation of layout and a feel for actually living in the space. The development itself seems well laid out although gardens are a little small but in line with most new built houses. I’m looking forward to seeing one of the townhouses as a showhome soon as this house is likely to suit my needs better than the others. Overall the experience I have had with Croudace Homes is excellent and the staff are lovely and the homes are beautiful and built well.

Croudace new home success

We moved into one of the Croudace houses in Ewhurst at the end of May this year. The sale process was very straightforward especially as we exchanged when the house was only knee high. This meant we could specify flooring, kitchen colours, tiling and other important stuff. The Sales Office team were brilliant throughout, always available to help us through the process. Completion was within days of the target set 6 months previously and ran very smoothly. The development is very well landscaped and has a lovely village feel, increasingly so as more neighbours move in. We only had one medium issue on moving in with a shower basin but Croudace soon got that in hand without any fuss. I’ve been through a long list of minor snagging items (some of them laughably minor) with the Customer Care Manager who was very helpful and I’m very confident that everything will be done just so. This is the second new home I’ve been through this process on - this time was a complete contrast to the tussles last time which is a great relief. So we cannot recommend Croudace highly enough - professional, honest, helpful and friendly. If you’re looking to buy one of their homes you can do so with confidence.

Had a leak under the sink after four…

Silk Row development; Had a leak under the sink after four months of moving in. We contacted our customer care co-ordinator Shrina, and she sent Steve (customer maintainance/handy man!) the same day. He requested a plumber who turned up within an hour. The whole process, although frustrating, was solved with speed. Since moving in we have had a few little issues and Steve has been great at resolving them promptly and is often a friendly face on the development that the dog loves to see!

Structural issues, poor quality and no quality control

I purchased a new home at the end of 2022 in the Blakemore development, in Hertford. Although I had a very good initial impression based on my initial interactions with the Sales team, my overall experience has not been positive.Having previously dealt with new build properties from more well-known developers, I found that with Croudace there was a lack of communication on the building progress and extremely limited customisation when it comes to finishing touches and upgrades. We had plenty of snags ranging from minor to structural issues and some are still to be resolved. Customer care were reasonably quick in fixing the minor snags.We discovered that our plot was handed with no solar panels despite the reservation form and the electrical certificate indicated these should have been in place. Instead, the neighbour’s solar panels were installed halfway above our property and for many months I had been fobbed off and provided nonsense explanations. Croudace accepted they were at fault and fixed the issue in the end. Surely, tens if not more employees and contractors looked at the building plans and nobody had a basic level of expertise or common sense to notice any issue. Shocking! And with remedial works also came further damage including cracks in ceiling and water ingress which were fixed promptly but they did happen. The latest problem we identified is unfortunately of more structural nature - absence of movement joints in the masonry walls. I was initially told by both customer service and the site team that movement joints are not applicable to my property. So, I requested a technical explanation as to why these had not been installed which Croudace failed to provide at the time and eventually admitted MJ should have been in place. Then, they changed their mind and said they actually installed 1but not all (which I am currently investigating). Four months later and we still have no agreed resolution compliant with industry standards as Croudace are trying to cut corners and propose to place these joints where it’s convenient to them, not where they should have done in the design stage to prevent cracking.I can see other houses in the development have the same problem but will Croudace put their hand up and go back to rectify or keep their fingers crossed hoping nobody will notice?Overall, the build quality and the quality of materials used is poor compared to other new builds. Windows barely provide any insulation from the outside noise. Paula Rosa kitchen units are the worst quality on the market. The internal doors are very thin and are hollow on the inside. Sound insulation between floors is so poor that extractor fans can be heard from another floor. We had a significant deviation in the flooring that we had to sort out at our own cost to be able to move in as planned. Paint was mismatched throughout the house despite choosing only white paint and many areas not properly painted. We even had a missing brick in one of the corners close to the roof and the list goes on..Upon discussing concerns with neighbours we identified instances where the exact same issue was raised and Croudace agreed to fix it for one plot but not for the other. This is extremely unprofessional. For example, the design of the kitchen for some plots is completely unfunctional - not allowing to use the sink to rinse dishes while the dishwasher door is open. Croudace agreed to move the dishwasher in the space initially designed for the washing machine for another plot but refused to do so for mine.Trying to sort out all these problems is a job in itself. We did expect some snags but not as many as we encountered and we certainly did not expect professional negligence from builder claiming xx years of experience in building quality homes. PS: I’d be very suspicious of the positive reviews posted on here by contractors, not clients.

I had a great experience with Croudace. I visited Willowbrook Didcot for the first time in August over a weekend on an open day. From the day one until the time we purchased and secured handover in December I found Charlotte being really supportive. Cleared all of my doubts and remained humble and friendly since I purchased new house for the first time hence was bit nervous but she was transparent, technically sound and knowledgeable throughout the time and answered all my queries. Complete letdown

My experience with Croudace Homes has been far from satisfactory, and unfortunately, the friendly sales team at Blakemore Manor is the only redeeming factor in an otherwise disappointing journey with this homebuilder. Lowest quality materials, poor workmanship, incompetence in some cases resulted in lots of snags and structural problems. The company's response to complaints about legitimate issues has been nothing short of appalling, showcasing a severe lapse in customer service, technical knowledge and a failure to uphold the standards in the homebuilding industry.

Just WOW

I’d like to thank Nikki at the Hertford site.My parents moved into their home November 2023 and they are elderly and the move was nerve racking for them especially when they sold their home and dealing with the chain.Nikki was very patient and took her time explaining everything from signing the paperwork, choosing choices and moving in. I cannot fault anything, even their home has been built and finished really well.What has really impressed me was my parents moved in a struggled with the internet, utilities, TV system and Nikki just went out her way and helped them which I’ve never seen before in a sales personMy parents were tricked by sky to have there stream box and we just didn’t notice until it turned up and Nikki knew what it was and helped sort the issue out, she helped connect the internet and advised what internet cables they need to hardwire the tab system. I have no clue and couldn’t help my parents but I am so grateful that Nikki has gone above 5 stars. My parents home is beautiful and they are so happy moving into a new home with no issues with heating, etc. all of this could not of happened if Nikki wasn’t on the case. Well done Croudace for having such a wonderful sales person Nikki
