Is this agent underhand????

Second occasion contacting these agents ref a building plot that had fell through before in Wyverstone Suffolk. First time round I was told a certain chap/agent I needed to speak to was not available and he would call back. No call back I then phoned again to be told plot was under offer. Plot came back on the market last week end of June 2020, so my wife called as we were in the car driving past the plot. No call back again a couple of days later my wife contacts them online got live reply saying they would get back to her with info. Guess what no call back. So I phoned up on the 3/7/20 a couple of days later to be told plot under offer. Told we have your number if it falls through. Something not right with this agent be aware!!!!

From an initial good experience with the viewings staff, JS serviced spiralled down to an unethical and profoundly bad experience. Having accepted our offer and deposit and waiting for a lease their management continued to offer the property and accepted a higher offer, only informing us at the 11th hour. Even the worst estate agents we have experienced had ever attempted to lower themselves to this unethical behaviour. Summary -Not to be trusted and management perhaps need to rethink how they do business..... Not possible to give no star or a minus unfortunately.....

It took me a while to write down this review as I wanted to be more objective and let the steam cool off. But the situation still leaves bitter taste and I would like to share a warning about this company. The people who work in the Teddington office are nice and helpful and never had any problem with them. The situation with their Property management people is quite different and I will not mix both as they are not related. When we left the last property we rented through the company, the Property management was very unhelpful, I can even say quite manipulative and we were not aware of a lot of important details and their actual intentions were unclear till the last moment (when it was too late to do anything). The Property management was clearly defending the owner's interest, which is ok, but not when it is obviously one-sided and unfair. For example we paid good sum for compost in the flower beds (???), marks left from blue tack on the walls, etc. If you are interested in more detail I can give more information and details on how they processed our case. Just want to warn you about possible outcome of your rent ending.

Great service from this Estate Agent......we had a house sale that lasted 9 months....not our or the Agents fault.....just the rubbish system that we have to go through esp when things go wrong out of your Control. We have two or three people looking after our sale with the last one being Dan......calmed us down when I was ready to go mad, but got us to a conclusion on a 9 house sale. Would recommend them from our experience.....actually my experience is not move at all but so long as you have people who communicate with you then its a bit better.......insist on that with all party's in the moving process.

JSS is a very local estate agency in Richmond and I have used their services for last 10 yrs for buying flats as well as letting out mine. In all occasions, I have found their staff very professional, helpful and pro-active working very hard to get things done. Myself and my partner would definitely recommend Jackson stops. We were shown a property by Francesca Bradbury at the Teddington branch. We had lots of experience with estate agents and we can both honestly say she was the most helpful estate agent we have come across. She was able to answer all of our questions and had all the information we needed with her on the day. She really went out of her way, helped with communication with the landlord, was patient with all of our questions and guided us through the process seamlessly. I’ve used Jackson-Stops for renting a flat, Tom Ridgeway and the staff are very professional and helpful, i was very impressed by how quick they were in checking the references and taking a decision, all that plus signing the documents where done online,you could even check the progress of every reference application. In my opinion Jackson-stop are way ahead of other estate agents, with them I didn’t feel the stress that I’ve been through with other estate agents. I highly recommend them to anyone who would prefer a smooth stress free move.

A Breath of Fresh Air

Jackson-Stops went above and beyond my expectations and were a breath of fresh air in this highly competitive business. Mandy in the Cranbrook office was an absolute joy to deal with extremely professional, honest and the most helpful agent I have dealt with over a long period of searching for a new home. Would have been nice to actually view the property!

We sat outside the property for 40 minutes waiting for the agent to show up, which she never did. When we finally got through to the office on the phone the agent who was meant to be showing us the property simply told us she had forgotten about us, with no apology offered - just a 'Can we do it another time, I can't leave the office now anyway.' A complete disregard for our time! Wholly unprofessional, and we aren't surprised that the landlords have been struggling to rent the property if the agent can't actually be bothered to turn up to viewings! We will be avoiding Jackson-Stops like the plague - and would advise any landlords to think twice before using their services!

What a bunch of unprofessional…

What a bunch of unprofessional individuals.......cheated out of a purchase by being bamboozled with a £10 thousand pound non refundable fee to open an " offer".....which according to one director was "normal" and Richard Addington as "never had any before....."....AVOID THIS FRANCHISE AT ALL COSTS....
