DO NOT GO WITH THIS ESTATE AGENTS.

I am absolutely disgusted by this estate agents. They advertised our property without permission from us, we were going to rent a property and they were is meant to just look at the property to give us an idea for what we could rent this for. Instead they put this property on the Market without talking to us. When I asked them to remove the property, there words to us were that this was not there problem. I would never use this company, they talk to you like poo and laugh at you when you are trying to talk to them. This is a disgusting company and behaviour.

My partner recently bought a house through the palmer snell Taunton office and the service was appalling. I would never recommend them. The initial viewings were fine but once we had our offer accepted it just went downhill from there.. we had to phone them to ask if the house could be marked as under offer on Rightmove.. no biggy but as a buyer it’s something you look to see and it the first stage in purchasing. Palmer snell were hardly ever available on the phone when you called, they were clueless at chasing the vendor or keeping up with solicitors. We even went round to our vendor to see them as palmer snell couldn’t tell us what stage things were at regarding moving dates and their solicitors (recommended through palmer snell) we’re equally as bad. Even on moving day they didn’t know what was going on. Having personally used another estate agent recently for my house move, palmer snell completely fall short of their standards and I wouldn’t touch them with a barge pole.

We have had a great experience so far renting through Palmer Snell. Our first couple of weeks searching for a property were pretty demoralising, but within hours of getting onto Palmer Snell's contact list I received info about the place we're now living in. Everyone we have dealt with has been kind, efficient and helpful. Their contact system is miles ahead of other lettings agents we tried to rent through. Other agents made us jump through a lot of hoops/fill out so many unecessary forms. Other agents made the experience into even more of a 'competition' than renting already is. In comparison, Palmer Snell have made us feel respected throughout the whole process. Thanks all!

Incredibly poor unfortunately once you've signed the contract. Both us (sellers) and our buyers (who also used Palmer Snell Taunton) felt the service we received was appalling. Our original open day didn't go well as the agent turned up stinking of smoke and had his puppy in the car, didn't get a single offer so had to spend a few extra evenings having viewings, the next agent was late to the first viewing who were the couple who bought the house. From this point on, we barely heard from them again despite sending emails. Absolutely ignore there recommended mortgage broker (£545!!!) and solicitors, the recommended mortgage broker made the whole thing way more stressful than needed, made numerous mistakes (which has cost us money) and there solicitors, whilst better, also proved incompetent. They didn't even know we were completing on the day and then expected us to drop off the keys at the office, £4.5k fee, for what frankly? In contrast, the other sides solicitors and estate agents were far better at communicating and kindly dropped the keys off for us. They also stated the wrong figure for the total invoice, meaning we underpaid £700 so was chased 2 months later for this, sheer incompetence all-around. Somehow, we did manage to sell and buy, however, the experience was severely soured and ended up costing us more. Avoid if you can.
