GoogleRIDICULOUS Me and my partner were interested in a one bedroom flat they were advertising. Called on Tuesday morning to see if I could book in a viewing, the lady who answered said the gentleman who handles the property was in a meeting but she would pass on the message and get him to contact me later on. The day goes by and no one calls. I call them back on Wednesday, the gentleman says he "didn't get my message" and tells me they'd have to arrange the viewing with the tenants and see if they were ok with me and my partner going round on Saturday at lunch time to see the flat. He said he would contact them and then get back to me. Once again, the day goes by and no one calls me to confirm or cancel the appointment. I decide to wait until Thursday afternoon when I give them another call and the gentleman informs me they can't get in touch with the tenant (which, in 2016 I find really hard to believe) so they can't confirm my viewing. To this point, after having to chase them up like that for something so little and simple as a 5 minutes viewing, I got fed up and informed the gentleman that if he couldn't confirm the appointment by Friday morning then I would have considered it cancelled. I was shocked and absolutely not impressed when he told me if I wanted to cancel I would have had to call them (AGAIN) to cancel a viewing that's never actually been confirmed in the first place! I don't hear back from them all Friday so I assume our appointment is cancelled, but on Saturday at lunch time I get a call from them saying that we had a viewing booked in for that time... I am honestly appealed, I work in customer service and I know I'd lose my job if I had to be so rude and inconsiderate with my clients! If they can't even organise a simple viewing by communicating with tenants and getting back to people who are interested in the property, I don't even want to begin to imagine what it would be like to work with them in case you decide to move forward and rent the property. I surely won't ever find out, not keen on dealing with them again!

This agency will send their staff to your house to do "inspections" completely unnanounced. They won't contact you, they will show up at your door and let themselves into your property. This happend just today, my partner (f) was home alone and a McFarlane agent (m) let himself into the property and then refused to leave until being asked a dozen times. Watch out

Starting off they need need as much information as the bank need for a mortgage. then they have quarterly property inspections. after that when you move out it is mandatory to have the property professionally cleaned. getting your full deposit back is impossible. at the end got robbed £250.

GoogleJoe at McFarlane was very professional and extremely quick with organising our flat (we moved in 2 weeks after first enquiring). He arranged a viewing on the same day that we called and was friendly and professional. Have had no trouble with McFarlane at all so far. Sometimes they don't acknowledge emails but are quick to respond if you phone them. Would recommend :)

It is my second year with McFarlane lettings and I find them to be responsive and efficient, I have had nothing that could not be sorted with a phone call.. So as a letting agent I would say they have performed well. Kelly my contact at McFarlane has always been available to sort out any issues I have had. Overall I would recommend then as a Letting Agent in Swindon.

The team are prompt and extremely helpful and Tom in particular was always available to answer our questions.
