I rented a property through Hunters for the last year and have been disappointed with the way they allowed myself and my housemate to be treated. I rented a 2 bedroom property and was unable to use one of the bedrooms for 4 months because part of the chimney collapsed through the roof which caused leaking into the bedroom and light fitting in the bedroom. It took 12 weeks before anyone attended to perform the repairs and then a further 5 weeks for it to be completed. I am aware of an issue with the landlord's insurance and neighbor but do not understand how this could not be a serious issue. I requested alternative accommodation to be rejected and compensation offered would not have covered alternative accommodation or travel from my parent's house. I requested to leave the tenancy early and informed I would be liable for the fees until re-tenanted which would not have happened with a significant water leak. Their processes are not adequate and need to ensure events like this are prevented which contractors have informed myself 'I'm surprised it hasn't come down sooner'. When moving out of the property in August, the water leak issue has not been fully rectified on one edge with a wall. Finally, when moving out, there was a request for money to be fully deducted from the deposit when the check-out inventory listed 'cord broken due to stiff blind' and 'unable to determine [responsibility] and requested us to pay the full cost. I would not have had a problem if the cost was 50/50 between us and the landlord.

I’ve tried to book a viewing on a property recently listed and explained that I am in a good position to proceed but have had no response. I’ve called to see why my viewing has not been arranged or why they haven’t been in contact with me but no adequate response. If only vendors were aware that buyers like me are actively looking to make a purchase but these guys can’t be bothered to arrange a viewing or get back in touch with clients. Kimberley and Faye are fantastic, they helped us find our dream home, and when we asked questions they responded quickly. The reason I’ve dropped a star is because we went with their recommended conveyancers - hunters Conveyancing - and they were not great! Although this isn’t the branch’s fault, it’s still associated to the brand and so reflects on them. Also, we didn’t get much from the new sales progressor (maybe because she was new) so referred to Kimberley who instantly made us feel calm during what was a stressful Conveyancing process. Faye, Robyn & Kimberley are a credit to Hunters estate agents they sold my property during lockdown and conducted viewings always making sure safety was first for myself and potential buyers. They were extremely professional, polite and always so positive during these difficult times. They also found my next property and showed it to me before it went on the open market. I was really pleased with the marketing of my property they took lovely photos and even came out to retake new ones when it was a sunny day. Faye personally progressed my sale and purchase and was easy to contact even out of hours.
