Terrible experience.They are unprofessional and unreliable.. Contacted agency and fixed a time view property in Headington, Oxford. I went and waited near the property and no one turned up. After 20-25 mins I called them again and they were saying let is already agreed on that property. They had no courtesy to inform me and the viewing schedule was not even in their dairy!! I would not recommend this agency.

James the agent who dealt with us went to great lengths to ensure that we were able to see all the properties we wanted to in a very tight schedule; he gave us a comprehensive breakdown of the agents fees (which were much more reasonable than most); and an honest run through of the contract. Having rented seven houses in seven years and looked around dozen before settling on this one, I can honestly say they were the easiest to deal with and most professional I have come across.

no deposit back after 10 weeksI rented from John D Wood for 2 years. They were unbelievably incompetent and non-responsive for the entire tenure. now I have to ring them every week to try to get my deposit back.

GoogleI would advise anyone to avoid renting through John D Wood. Our agent, James did not represent our needs and on numerous occasions went against our wishes which eventually culminated with him raising our rent to more than we had already agreed with the landlord. JDW continued to show people around our flat after we'd made an offer and paid for referencing, entertaining another higher offer forcing us to up our asking price after all other estate agents had removed the flat from the market. We were manipulated and essentially blackmailed into paying above what had been agreed and threatened we'd lose out and lose our referencing fee if we did not act in a short space of time. Estate agents are abysmal at the best of times but JDW are particularly untrustworthy, money grabbing, capricious, crooks.

Expect this company to be totally negligent returning your deposit (even if your landlord agreed for this to be released). They will make you chase your own money for weeks after you moved out, an absolute nightmare.

The worst agent service I have ever seen in my life. We have been dealing with them for more than a year. We wrote a letter to them complaining and nothing was ever done. They delegate their work to everyone, they just pretend they work. Never hire them.

J D Wood did a fantatic job helping us sell our flat in Wimbledon Park. We faced a few hurdles that were unexpected but Chris and Lewis got things on track and got the sale through when we had given up. I would thouroughly reccomend them if you are considering selling a property.
