I find it almost laughable how this…

I find it almost laughable how this letting agency behaves. When you’re signing a contract, they bend over backwards to act friendly and helpful, but the second you’re moving out, the entire façade collapses. Their true colors show, and suddenly you’re dealing with rudeness, attitude, and a complete lack of basic professionalism. My experience with this agency at the end of my tenancy was extremely negative, and one staff member in particular, Freya, made the situation even worse. In my opinion, she spoke to me with absolutely no respect and seemed to think that talking to tenants in a dismissive, condescending manner was acceptable. From my interaction with her, it’s clear she has a lot to learn about how to communicate professionally. Some of the comments she made were completely unnecessary, and honestly, she would benefit from learning when it’s better to keep certain remarks to herself rather than speaking to people the way she did. This kind of attitude is unacceptable in any customer-facing role, and I strongly believe she needs proper customer service training. My overall impression is that she is not equipped to speak with tenants in a respectful or professional way, and that absolutely needs to be addressed. No member of staff has the right to speak to me the way she did. Because of this, I will be taking this complaint further through the appropriate channels, and I will be sharing my experience publicly so other tenants are aware of how they may be treated. This kind of behaviour is unacceptable, and I refuse to let it go unaddressed.

Superb, absolutely superb. After a bad experience with one of these new-fangled "agents" (Purple Bricks - avoid like the plague!!) Sarah and her team in Redhill showed the new pretenders how it's done. We had proper, thorough discussions both pre-valuation and post, with a full understanding of the house, the marketplace and how best to position it. We even had viewings booked before we had approved the advert - again the is the mark of a real estate agent who has a database of clients and can work a real consultative sell with them. In comparison, Purple Bricks et al wouldn't begin to dream of (or be able to) offer anything like an active trawl of their database, they rely entirely on online hits. Once the viewings occurred Sarah kept us up to date with feedback - even if there wasn't any she was easy to get hold of and always proactive in contacting us to tell us so. Within 3 weeks we had an offer which we accepted and the service didn't suddenly stop, it continued until we had the money in our bank. Sarah is superb at keeping solicitors moving, at pushing mortgage companies to pull their finger put when they're being slow, and at consulting with buyers when they start asking strange questions. She is patient with everyone and keeps her team well apprised of the status at all times, in case she's not available they will be fully prepared to offer an update. All in all I wouldn't use anyone else, and I certainly wouldn't touch the new kids on the block, they have no idea how far behind they are in comparison.

Mann took the sale of my property over after it had been languishing on the market for some months. They worked with me to get it moving - and although the first buyer fell through, within two days I had a new one. Amy in particular was unremittingly responsive, friendly and helpful - it was always a pleasure to get messages from her and know that she had things in hand. The whole team was helpful and good to work with, I would definitely recommend Mann over the other local agents I tried previously.

We went to Mann based on previous feedback and the need to have a proactive Estate Agent. The Manager, Sarah Allen, was very professional throughout the process and did a great job of keeping us informed of progress. Unlike other Estate Agents I have used in the past, Sarah told us what we needed to hear rather than slick sales talk. In addition to the selling aspect, Sarah and the team also followed up on questions raised and maintained good communication channels with the legal team dealing with the conveyancing aspects. You can always use the online options for selling property and make fee savings but I believe you get an inferior service. If you want an Estate Agent that will give you expert marketing advice and support throughout then I have no hesitation in recommending Sarah and her team at Mann.

Scammed by branch in Basingstoke, avoid them

These agents in Basingstoke pressured me into making a holding deposit after seeing a property that I was interested in. I provided all the details for reference checks. They later came back telling me that my employers declined giving a reference until my probation is ended which is no fault of mine. I have contacted my employers personally on more than one occasion to get this sorted out, but was not successful. This agency contacted me requesting for a guarantor and as a foreigner, I could not provide the needed guarantor (UK home owner with £44k annual salary). The next few hours, the property was back on the market without saying anything to me about my holding deposit. When I contacted them, they told me I have provided false and misleading information (failed reference checks) which was very shocking to me. Avoid them at all cost.

Really great support from start to finish - Sarah was there for us to answer any and all questions (and we had a lot of them being first time buyers!) The whole process went as smoothly as it could have and apart from some truly minor hiccups (completely outside of her control) the purchase finalised even quicker than we anticipated. All in all it was a truly professional experience and we can wholeheartedly recommend Mann (and especially Sarah) to anyone looking for a great service.

Quite simply, if ALL estate agents were like Sarah, they wouldn't ever have a bad rep. Sarah was professional, focussed, helpful, firm, fun and kept our move on track. She was honest - unlike some very closely situated competitors - and explained all aspects of how we could keep progress going. She managed a lot of different expectations and was forever up and down the chain monitoring. I hated moving, BUT if i ever move again I will use Sarah without a doubt, above any others! I would like to thank Sarah and the team at Mann estate agents for all, their work, support, advice and guidance. Over the course of 2 .5 years our chain broke 3 times leading to the loss the house we intended to purchase. This was an incredibly stressful process during which I cannot speak highly enough of Mann and in particular Sarah. It’s always a very stressful time selling a property and this time has been no exception, with a buyer pulling out last minute and then having to remarket again, then finding nothing suitable myself, but I can honestly say that despite these hiccups Sarah Allen and her team of helpers made it somewhat bearable at least. Sarah at Mann in Redhill was so helpful with our mortgage advice. initially she gave us support in considering our best options and then transferred us to her mortgage adviser who was brilliant throughout the rest of the process. Both Sarah and her adviser liaised with us through every aspect of deciding which mortgage was right for our needs. They were friendly and professional which gave us great confidence. The entire process was unbelievably easy and we are so happy with the mortgage rate and deal we received. I was impressed by Mann in Redhill right from the initial valuation of my property; Sarah has unparalleled knowledge of the area and was very clear in explaining how the value of my flat was derived and the level of interest I could expect. I cannot thank Emily (head of lettings, Farnham office) enough for finding me new tenants after poor experience with previous agent (a completely different company.) She achieved a 35% increase in gross rent for me, too! I noted more proactivity in 3 weeks from GPees than in 3 years from their predecessors. I was kept fully informed before and after every viewing, and despite most viewings taking place in appalling wet weather there was never a sign of recent footfall across the brand new carpet. If I could give them six stars, I would!
