I am writing this email about Mann Countrywide (Redhill) in general and Sarah Allen, the Branch Manager in particular. I have known Sarah for the thick end of twenty years; for all that time she has been at the tiller of Mann Countrywide, Redhill. As a dyed-in-the-wool educationalist of thirty years I have a deep admiration for someone who is at the top of their game. Sarah Allen is such a person; she has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the Redhill housing marketplace which will be invaluable in your search for a new property or when selling your own. Estate agents tend to move around frequently, Sarah has built her career in one branch and one town. This has afforded her the ability to have the current situation of the Redhill market at her fingertips, and an ability to instinctively price a property at its correct value. That type of inbuilt knowledge can only be acquired after years of relentless work which she has clearly been able to do. Her enthusiasm for realtory, her chosen craft, is obvious and infectious and you just can’t buy that kind of vocational devotion to one’s occupation. On top of this, her skills as a negotiator, diplomat and problem-solver are second to none, and her attention-to-detail exceptional. She has a verifiable can-do attitude and when Sarah announced that she will do something you can confidently consider it done. Mann Countrywide (Redhill) have my highest professorial commendation but I keep the highest accolades for Sarah; the branch would be nowhere near as effective and efficient as it is without her, and should she ever leave, it will be like the ravens leaving the Tower of London. Great work Sarah!

We have just purchased a property through Mann and they have been fantastic during the whole process. We will definitely be keeping them in mind for when we come to sell the property in some years to come. Both Sarah and Nicole were our key contacts and appeared professional and transparent throughout the whole purchase - contrary to how estate agents are typically perceived. Out of the various agents we had been dealing with since Christmas, Nicole in particular had always stuck in our mind as one of the most friendly and polite agents - this definitely encouraged us as buyers to stay in communication during the weekly update emails and calls at the beginning of the year!

I am in the process of buying a flat with Gascoigne-Pees estate agent in Redhill. My initial contact was with Jo who was helpful, pleasant and genuine - which you don't always get from estate agents. I am now dealing more with Sarah who is equally professional but still friendly. As an investor I have bought many properties over the years and can honestly say that this is the first time that I have found an estate agents who are pleasant to work with and don't create additional stress or pressure. I would be happy to use them again either as a buyer or seller. Good job Sarah and team.

I can't fault the service we received from Sarah and her team. We bought our property through her in 2015 and then when it came to selling the same property in 2021, I knew they would do a great job. Excellent communication, always polite and service with a sense of humour which is always appreciated when things get a little stressful! A buyer was found and sale agreed in good time and even when it took a little longer to go through than anticipated, they were always there helping push things along. Warning - avoid this company at all costs!!

Tom is extremely unprofessional and dishonest. We accepted an offer back in May from a buyer on the basis that the buyer was a cash purchaser. We were then told in July that this was not the case and he was applying for a mortgage. Only when we were ready to exchange and complete in August the buyers solicitors informed us that the buyer had a related transfer of equity, unbelievable. We were told it could take up to 6 months to sort out. We were very disappointed about being kept in the dark about this so late in the transaction. Had we been privy to this we would not have accepted the offer in the first place.

So when we were considering putting the house on the market it was a no-brainer to go direct back to them. We were not disappointed. The service has again been faultless with our sale despite some sizable delays. It's taken us 8 months to complete the sale and they maintained their professionalism, commitment and friendly approach throughout. No question or request was too much hassle. Honestly cannot fault the above and beyond service given by Sarah, Daniel and team. I had my house on the market with another estate agent for 6+ months with no success. Eventually the relationship and line of communication totally broke down. Gasgoine-Pees are like estate agents on steroids (in a good way) My house needed modernising and renovating so was labour of love and not the prettiest. The team took the challenge of marketing my house, found me a super keen buyer and today we exchanged. Superb, absolutely superb. After a bad experience with one of these new-fangled "agents" (Purple Bricks - avoid like the plague!!) Sarah and her team in Redhill showed the new pretenders how it's done. We had proper, thorough discussions both pre-valuation and post, with a full understanding of the house, the marketplace and how best to position it. We even had viewings booked before we had approved the advert - again the is the mark of a real estate agent who has a database of clients and can work a real consultative sell with them. In comparison, Purple Bricks et al wouldn't begin to dream of (or be able to) offer anything like an active trawl of their database, they rely entirely on online hits. Once the viewings occurred Sarah kept us up to date with feedback - even if there wasn't any she was easy to get hold of and always proactive in contacting us to tell us so. Within 3 weeks we had an offer which we accepted and the service didn't suddenly stop, it continued until we had the money in our bank. Sarah is superb at keeping solicitors moving, at pushing mortgage companies to pull their finger put when they're being slow, and at consulting with buyers when they start asking strange questions. She is patient with everyone and keeps her team well apprised of the status at all times, in case she's not available they will be fully prepared to offer an update. All in all I wouldn't use anyone else, and I certainly wouldn't touch the new kids on the block, they have no idea how far behind they are in comparison.

Mann took the sale of my property over after it had been languishing on the market for some months. They worked with me to get it moving - and although the first buyer fell through, within two days I had a new one. Amy in particular was unremittingly responsive, friendly and helpful - it was always a pleasure to get messages from her and know that she had things in hand. We went to Mann based on previous feedback and the need to have a proactive Estate Agent. The Manager, Sarah Allen, was very professional throughout the process and did a great job of keeping us informed of progress. Unlike other Estate Agents I have used in the past, Sarah told us what we needed to hear rather than slick sales talk. In addition to the selling aspect, Sarah and the team also followed up on questions raised and maintained good communication channels with the legal team dealing with the conveyancing aspects. You can always use the online options for selling property and make fee savings but I believe you get an inferior service. If you want an Estate Agent that will give you expert marketing advice and support throughout then I have no hesitation in recommending Sarah and her team at Mann.

Scammed by branch in Basingstoke, avoid them

These agents in Basingstoke pressured me into making a holding deposit after seeing a property that I was interested in. I provided all the details for reference checks. They later came back telling me that my employers declined giving a reference until my probation is ended which is no fault of mine. I have contacted my employers personally on more than one occasion to get this sorted out, but was not successful. This agency contacted me requesting for a guarantor and as a foreigner, I could not provide the needed guarantor (UK home owner with £44k annual salary). The next few hours, the property was back on the market without saying anything to me about my holding deposit. When I contacted them, they told me I have provided false and misleading information (failed reference checks) which was very shocking to me. Avoid them at all cost.
