I have employed the services of Bridges Letting agency in Fleet. From the start of meeting Sam Burrows at my property, she was extremely professional and attentive to my needs (especially on the basis I have never been a landlord before). Literally one week later, I have a tenant signed up and Sam has kept me abreast of everything on a regular basis.

Horrendous experience. Do not sign a 20 week contact! Within a couple of weeks, they had lied to me on several occasions and had provided a terrible service. They apologised for the unacceptable level of dishonestly but still refused to release me from the contract that they were in breach of. They knew that their official complaints procedure was longer than my remaining contract (after stalling for several weeks), so they had me trapped with no way out. This was knowing that I was in a rush to move in time for school applications, and missing them would seriously affect our family.

I found Bridges Estate Agents my worst experience ever in dealing with a company, and not to mention how dreadful it was in having James Macphee (Associate Director none the less) manage the sale or in this case what looks to be the fictitious sale of our property. Firstly James tried to convince us that a flat rate fee that they were charging was better than their 0.7% selling fee, although the flat rate fee was several hundreds of pounds more expensive.Secondly James instructed the firms associated conveyancing company to act for us even though we did not instruct him to do so.Thirdly James tried to convince us to spend several hundreds of pounds on professional photos instead of their own and when we refused he did them for free!!!!! We avoided a rip off charge there!Fourthly They never answer their phones and you have to always wait several hours for a call back, a house we were attempting to buy the estate agent attempted to contact James at Bridges in the morning to verify our situation so that they could put an offer to the seller and there was no contact from James or Bridges for over 5 hours so we then had to chase Bridges to insist they speak with the other estate agents to verify our situation.Fifthly James and Bridges when informing us of an offer on our property were in breach of their own contract obligation and broke the Consumer Property Regulations act by NOT informing us that the person who put in an offer on our property did not have a mortgage in place and neither did the people buying their property even though James knew that the buyers of our property were fully aware that the buyers of their property had already had a mortgage refused and therefore failing to tell us that our buyers were not in any position to proceed with buying a house and therefore denying us our right to make an informed decision and what makes it worse is that we found out 2/3 months after our house was sold subject to contract and we turned away another very keen buyer just after accepting this offer of which had we been made aware at the time we would not have accepted the offer. Which is now going to cost us in solicitors fees that we should never have had had we been informed of our buyers situation and especially as we have since found out that our buyers buyers have had a second mortgage application refused, yet it has been a week since we found out this information yet we have had no contact from Bridges to inform us of this!!!!Since giving James Macphee and Bridges the 21 days notice to stop being our agent (although under the Consumer Property Regulations act they should have cancelled the contract straight away seeing as they were in breach of their very own contract and standards of service they promise to deliver), we have made several attempts to contact them both James and Saskia asking questions and any contact that we have made has been completely ignored.I work for an organisation that employs approximately 700,000 staff and I am spreading the word on the unprofessional, dishonest, ignorant, time wasting service we have had from Bridges Estate Agents and James Macphee (ASSociate Director no less) if staff at the top behave in this way then you can be rest assured that this feeds down the line.

GoogleRang Bridges as I was considering buying a home in the area and had a recommendation from a friend who had recently bought through them. Spoke to Iain Weathrall-King, lovely guy, gave me lots of good advice, particularly about buying in the current uncertain market, he really knows his stuff. In the end I decided to stay put, due to family commitments. I would highly recommend Bridges, I will certainly be in contact with him again when the time comes. He went out of his way to help the selling and buying process go smoothly, during a very busy time he always returned our calls and emails, he was patient, honest, professional and a sense of humour which helped too. GoogleI recently just sold my property with Bridges in Ashvale. Daniel Jordan helped with this and was brilliant, after a failed attempt to sell through a different estate agent I was really sceptical and not feeling particularly positive about the whole experience. Dan kept in touch the whole way through, updated us on any feedback and gave really good advice when it came to getting an offer. I couldn't be more happy with the service he and the team at Ashvale provided. Once we had an offer he was really proactive at sending me though houses he thought would be suitable for us and we did find one with the Frimley office. Amy Buckley helped us with our purchase, again from start to finish Amy was Fantastic! She was more then happy for us to pop over for a second viewing and gave great advice throughout. She was instrumental in keeping on top of everything and managed to get us in to our new property on the date I really wanted. My son and his wife have just completed on his sale in Aldershot. He is currently living abroad and so the sale had to be managed remotely. I(his mother) interviewed several estate agents on their behalf and recommended Simon Kerry at Bridges to them mostly because I was comfortable with his experience and knowledge of the local area, and have been delighted with the choice. He managed the whole process with confidence and skill, a consummate professional despite both solicitors being not at all up to scratch and nearly scuppering the sale several times.I would highly recommend Bridges but particularly Simon. If not at the end of a phone he would always get back quickly, and worked with my son by email to make a potentially tricky transaction as smooth as it could be. Well done Simon.!

TrustpilotBridges don't care about you once you sign the contract
I asked for several things to be repaired prior to moving in. These weren't done. Not only that but the cleaners also smashed the glass on my oven. A month later and it still isn't repaired. I am given a variety of subcontractors numbers who are unable to help and the latest number isn't even recognised. Make sure the property is right before you move in and hope that it never needs repairs or you will be like me left without essentials for a long time

The situation regarding the oven was outside of our control, but as you know, the contractor involved has now had the oven replaced with a brand-new oven and offered you a good will payment for the inconvenience you had experienced.Most of the maintenance issues that you highlighted prior to your tenancy were addressed before you moved in. The issues that remain outstanding will be attended to shortly. Hands down the worst Agency I've dealt with and I have been renting for year's. From the first offer falling through, to putting an offer on another rental property and waiting for day's with no communication/update and having to constantly chase. To trying to arrange a second viewing of the property before moving in, but being ignored...to then moving in to find out the Landlord had removed the built in wardrobes, which meant having to fork out extra money. Would've been nice to have been told beforehand! To not being told that we'd need access to a key for the carpark barrier so the removal van could enter the carpark to unload our furniture etc.(luckily a neighbour helped us out) We've also only received one fob to enter the building, when there's 2 of us. So inconvenient. A week later, still waiting for another fob, no update as to how long this will take. And the worst part of all- being told by the Landlord (by chance) that he will be selling the property within the next 6-12 months and that Bridges Hook knew this from the start. They conveniently withheld this information from us throughout the whole process, offering a 12 month minimum long-term let...knowing full well that wouldn't be the case. I emailed them 2 day's ago as I want an explanation...haven't had a response! Communication is terrible and has been throughout. I'm shocked that such important information was withheld knowing full well we were looking for a long-term let. They are dishonest.
