Seymours of Surbiton managed the purchase of our house. We dealt with Sam Brown and from start to finish, we received a great service. There was a delay in exchanging the contracts but he always kept us up to date with what was happening and was always very quick to reply to my emails or return my calls (even outside of business hours). Purchasing a property is stressful but Sam was always empathetic and helped whenever he could. Another thing that I liked was that I wasn't bombarded with calls/emails/etc when new properties came onto the market unlike other estate agents. When we go onto sell our house, I wouldn't hesitate in using Seymours in future.

We bought a house that Seymours had on the market, they facilitated several viewings without fuss, and didnt interfere with our own priorities when looking round the property. This is all great; however, the real driver behind the 5* review is their role in 'sales progression', and getting the purchase over the line. Jenny was an absolute star, in not straightforward circumstances, and was key to this move actually happening. Her role is greatly appreciated and her friendly and collaborative nature should be highly commended! Thanks for all your work!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Our experience with Seymours Lettings in Woking has been just horrendous from day one. : Asked maintenance team for so many things to be repaired during our tenacy but emails and calls just ignored.: Allowed people in to view the property as LL was selling even in the worst point of COVID only to discover that the sales agent had let in an entire family despite the strict rule of 2 people. No apology, no response to my email regarding this.: Do not expect your phone calls to be returned unless they want something.: I was assured by Seymours that any photos used in the sales particulars that revealed family members would be blurred. Not the case. I was horrified to see a big clear picture of my entire family in one of their pictures-a complete violation of our privacy.:After vacating I am still awaiting a response regarding our deposit despite numerous calls and emails. In short, they really do not care about their tenants at all. I asked last week if I collect an item that had been left by our movers in the garden (place is empty) Simple question but still no response. If you are renting and looking for a really stress free and positive experience, consider Churchods. Also very happy with Pilgrims in West Byfleet.

If you want 5 star service, Seymours Blackwater is the only place to go in this area. Right from the start from valuation of our property to the sale some 9 days later it has been a positive experience. The team here strive to give all clients their best. Behind the scenes they just get on with matters and go the extra mile to keep the whole sale process working efficiently. The team, Aiden, Clare and Ben are just amazing, always available for an update or just a catch up on where we are at. Totally professional. Absolutely incredible!!!After finding a house in September I called and first spoke to Yasmin. I have never spoken to someone so positive and enthusiastic. She booked an appointment and was there for the viewing. After viewing the house I explained that I have a house to sell in order to purchase. Yasmin said what became a regular word for her “no problem“. Yasmin came to the house with her colleague Luke. Both Yasmin and Luke were amazing in the advice they gave. Due to their dedication and professionalism the house was sold in 12 days and a price agreed on a purchase.Yasmin and Luke did everything to secure the house sale and purchase. Sadly complications arose but Yasmin and Luke did everything to reassure and help. I have bought and sold properties before but never has the support been so incredible.At any stage the guys were there to answer calls, emails, WhatsApp even in the evening.Thanks to Yasmin and Luke everything has worked out so well and we moved in before Xmas. This time we made the mistake of listing this property initially through our letting agent who did not know the Surbiton market at all well, nor have a large list of potential buyers. Nick was able to rescue the listing and help us to find a buyer despite a difficult market just before Christmas. Jenny was immensely helpful in progressing the sale and convincing the chain to bring forward the completion date, while keeping us informed of progress. Seymours left us stranded when we had signed and paid for our rental property and everything set up, only to find out the owner had agreed to sell through ankther Seymours office post our agreement. An apology doesnt secure us a property. Very unprofessional to say the least. Our property was still be advertised after we had signed and paid. Not acceptable to say the least

Having spent a year looking for our new house, we dealt with a range of estate agents before we came across Seymours - all of them pushy, overly salesy, full of themselves, and generally not the nicest to deal with. Seymours on the other hand were simply brilliant. Nick from Seymours could not be more different - he is an absolute breath of fresh air to deal with. He is honest, he is consultative, he knows exactly what he is talking about, he provides good advice and knows his market absolutely inside out. He’s also a very nice, decent bloke and friendly to work with as well. I couldn’t recommend Nick highly enough. Whether buying or selling make Seymours your first call - these guys are experts in what they do and are a pleasure to work with. They absolutely set the bar in terms of estate agents. Would 100% recommend and use again.

Throughout a three year rental, all admin for problem resolution was with the tenant with lack of support from the agency. A shattered window remains unresolved after nearly 4 months with blame attributed to the external contractor they selected. After ending the tenancy the viewings process for new tenants involved daily emails from multiple team members requesting access within 24 hours

SEYMOURS BIGGEST BUT NOT BEST

Poor service and unparalleled arrogance from the biggest but certainly NOT the best agency. My experience with Seymours has been frustratingly and shockingly dreadful. As managing agents, they are so slow to action property complaints and then behave as though they are doing you a favour. The letting agents have no regard for your time and cancel AFTER the last minute, if they bother at all, or just don’t care enough to show up on time to show a property and then they don’t even have the decorum to offer an apology because of course, you aren’t worthy of their time. Seymour’s are, without a doubt, bullies in the industry who trample over smaller agencies and scrabble to get a few hundred pounds in fees that they did not earn or deserve. Appalling and I hope that I never have the misfortune to deal with Seymours again in any capacity.MY RESPONSE TO SEYMOURS REPLY: WOKING WAS OUR MANAGING AGENT AND WERE COMPLETELY USELESS AND WHEN WE MOVED WE DEALT WITH A NUMBER OF AGENTS FOR VARIOUS PROPERTIES THAT WE WANTED TO VIEW AND THE ATTITUDE OF YOUR AGENTS IS LESS THAN SUB PAR.
