Very enthusiastic at the beginning with…

Very enthusiastic at the beginning with a very professional approach to the sale, examples, photos and broachers. Lots of viewings started straight away, culminating in serval opportunities. After discussions and with very good advice, a buyer was selected. This was very positive and as a cash buyer would result in a quick sale. This certainly made me very happy as I had two other messy estate agents loosing buyers at the last minute, costing me 8 months of time and money. Expectations slowly withered as it became apparent the progress dramatically slowed down and the eye was taken off the ball, even though I was quite explicit about keeping on top of this, as from the last two experiences. Deadlines given by me came and went and a lot of and I mean a lot of concessions were given. This resulted in unleashing my anger in the agents office, which got a lot of attention, where by, with a happy ending, quickly resolved all issues and prompted a swift exchange and completion. I would like to highlight the fact that being an estate agent is not very easy and puts them in a very difficult position of negotiating with several parties and trying to please all in a professional manner, I do take my hat of to them. In the whole they were polite and professional but just need to be on top of all their business dealings. Thank you.

We were very happy with Greg Attwood who we dealt with during our recent flat purchase. Greg responded to emails and voicemails in a timely fashion and was always efficient and professional. He made sure to check in on how things were progressing with solicitors etc and even took the trouble to help us for example with sourcing documents or paperwork that would normally have been part of the solicitors remit and not his. He was always punctual for viewings, courteous in his interactions and helpful and timely in his communications. We felt like he was a safe and reliable pair of hands and would recommend him to anybody else.

We had the most horrendous experience. Be aware of this agency.

Unlike many others who have posted here, we had the most horrific experience with Hawes and Co. We rented a house through this agency, and have had nothing but issues with the flat as well as some of the most atrocious customer service from Katie and Tracy. Both of these people repeatedly and shamelessly lied to us, throughout the application process and tenancy itself. In every interaction we felt fobbed off, as we struggled to get both the agency and the landlord to abide by the terms in our tenancy agreement. We found Katie to be particularly difficult, where she refused or was not capable of listening and responding in a sensible or coherent manner. To those people who are currently renting with this agency, good luck to you. I hope you have a better experience than we did. If you are considering renting with them, honestly, walk on by and go somewhere else. Katie and Tracy will tell you what you want to hear, but never show any interest after that.

I would not go anywhere else.

I was selling a house to settle an estate after my Aunt passed away. I live 400 miles from the house I had concerns how it would go selling from a different country and at such a distance. On speaking to a local solicitor I was recommended to speak with Hawes in Surbiton to discuss how they could help with the sale. I was so lucky I did, and never looked back, they were very professional, helpful and guided me where necessary and we sold the house within a few months or so. I would have no concerns about recommending Hawes to anyone looking for a professional and friendly service.
