Excellent all round service

Nicky and her team provided an excellent service in marketing and finding a new tenant for our rental property.A very suitable tenant was found and agreed all the terms within a week. Our telephone calls and questions were answered promptly and we felt we were in very professional hands at all times.Although a branch within a larger group of agents we felt Hawes at Thames Ditton were very much a part of our local community which is very important in this corporate world we live and work in. We felt we were being treated as a very individual client.

The amazing Joe and Toby :) at Surbiton

We have recently used Hawes&Co to rent a property. I have to Say both Joe and Toby went beyond and above. They are both extremely helpful. In the past I have lost my faith in the estate agency sector in general, however, these two lovely gentlemen ,Joe and Toby, have resorted my faith. Joe was very helpful, polite and dedicated to his work, he makes sure that everything is in place. He never gets annoyed about how many times we have contacted him. He is a true star:). Toby is another star of Hawed&co he is very good in what he does. He has helped us so much and I wouldn't hesitate to use these guys again. Hands down they are one of the best estate agents in Surbiton area and surely recommend them for anyone.

Efficient and transparent

We viewed a property to rent with Hawes & Co and put in an offer to rent, which got accepted. The process was straightforward and quick. The thing I appreciated the most was the transparency during the offer process. We were informed when the offers were going to be presented to the landlord and when a decision was going to be made, so we knew what to expect. Apart from that, most of the communication was friendly and efficient.

Happy with an estate agent...?!

Given previous dealings with estate agents who appear dissinterested and at times, rude, I was pleasantly surprised with the service I received from H&Co (New Malden office). Throughout the process (even when they had managed to find a buyer for my property), they remained attentive and supportive, offering their advice or even someone to talk to/bounce ideas off. I found the whole process really inclusive, and felt like, for the first time, I actually built relationships with estate agents. It was so refreshing to feel like they weren't just after my money for a change, or at least, they masked that with excellent customer service; it gave the impression that they genuinely cared about what was happening. My partner and I started looking to relocate to Surbiton last November. Luckily we stumbled across Hawes and Co (particularly Joe Stevens) who could not have been more helpful and amazing to work with. When the flat we put our original rental offer down on was taken off the market a few weeks before we had to move because the landlord found a buyer Joe and his colleagues could not have been more amazing in the way they found us a nicer flat in our price range which was also closer to the station (something high on our list of priorities) in virtually no time! I can't say I have ever had so positive an experience with renting as I have had with Hawes and Co. The people who work there are just friendly and 'normal'. No feeling of you just being another potential 'sale' or adding to their KPIs. No annoying salesman attitude. I'd recommend them and will be using them again if and when I next look to move. Thank you all so much again!!

We really can't say enough good things about Greg McHugh et al at Hawes Surbiton. They were always there for us throughout our multi-year search and eventual sale & purchase. What we felt set them apart from the other estate agents we met: 1) they know the area very well (people and properties) 2) they made an effort to get to know us and what we were looking for, and why 3) they knew their sellers and the market well 4) they genuinely wanted to help us to find the house that was right for us 5) they seemed to be agents for nearly all of the properties that we were interested in 6) they patiently proposed viewings as soon as relevant properties came onto market, over several years 7) they were always extremely polite and straightforward Once into the sale and purchase process, Greg put us in touch with a super-efficient local solicitor as well as kept us up-to-date on progress across the chain. After the sale and purchase were complete, Greg stayed in touch to make sure all was well and ask if there was anything further they could do for us. We went into the process fearing/expecting the worst but were very pleasantly surprised by the overall experience with Hawes Surbiton. We would definitely recommend Greg at Hawes based on our interaction, five stars.

We bought a house in April 2016 marketed by Hawes & Co on Surbiton High Street. It was a great experience. Greg McHugh and his team were excellent. We obviously didn't choose them - the sellers did - but we're glad they did. Everyone we dealt with in the office was professional, knowledgeable and courteous and they clearly worked hard to manage expectations on both sides and get the result everyone was looking for. Greg's approach was noticeably different to other agents who had contributed to our decision to walk away from several other properties. No pressure tactics, no mind games, he just got on with the business of facilitating the negotiations, keeping everyone informed and keeping everything on track. Michael Gibson was FANTASTIC!! I experienced a pretty complicated purchase, not because of Michael or Hawes & Co, but because I had a difficult seller. Michael went above and beyond his role in helping me resolve issues I had - in fact without him I think I'd still be trying to sort them out now. Not only is he helpful but extremely friendly and happy to help out in any way he can. I was selling my house as attorney for my father - more difficult than selling my own house. I saw several Agents but I selected Sam Lloyd of Hawes because he had a very good knowledge of the local market, a very open and trustworthy style, was genuinely keen to help and I felt understood my issues. The experience has been excellent. Sam and his team kept me informed throughout, provided a great deal more than a sales service (useful to me as I live 1.5 hours from the house sold), obtained a fair price and project managed the chain.
