I was delighted with the excellent service I received from Declan Hartigan at Chancellors. I called one morning on the off chance there were any vacant properties to view that afternoon and he arranged a viewing within a couple hours. I loved the property and was able to make an application in minutes. The entire process has been smooth as Declan has kept me well-informed and immediately answered any queries I've had. Also, the entire process was completed within a week! The help and efficiency I have received from Chancellors has taken the stress away from moving house!

Please please every DO NOT USE chancellors,I used the slough branch for the sale of my house which has still not sold even after dropping the price nearly £50,000 and have had to withdraw in the sale as I have lost over £8000 on paying the mortage of a house that has been empty from my own pocket...i have told George that came to do the valuation on my house that I needed quick sale.He told me he could sell it very easily as it had alot to offer as a 3 bed semi and valued at £425000 back in April here we are in July dropping the price nearly £50000 with not a single offer.I am sure they are doing something wrong...are they over pricing or not doing viewing correctly are also very poor at communicating as send alot of emails and have make alot of calls regarding my sale when the eventually get into contect, very little back in return besides reassurance but still no offers.I am sure they get paid to sell my house which they haven't done as if i sell my house now I will be at a loss therefore I have had to withdraw my sale. They also have very high fees compared to other agent.SO PLEASE NOT USE CHANCELLORS WITH THE SALE OF YOUR HOUSE

Booked a viewing for 6pm on the 2nd May 2017. After waiting for 15 minutes, we decided to give up. No phone call to let us know we wouldn't be met. If we are disappointed, goodness knows how the seller would feel not having people able to view... ***Update*** Just had a phone call to let us know there was someone at the property, waiting. Trying to make out it was us in the wrong. Terrible, terrible customer service. No apology! Absolute waste of time dealing with these agents!

I found Ryan to be extremely available and reactive, always here to assist along the process. Everything went smoothly in a 2-week frame, which is astonishing. I recommend !!

I rent a flat via Chancellors and I have not seen people more UNPROFESSIONAL in my whole life. They only care about taking your money at the beginning of the process and making up ridiculous excuses to keep the money of your deposit at the end. NEVER AGAIN!

Exactly our experience too. I would never ever deal with this estate agent again. Absolutely disgraceful the way they treat tenants.

Property management side of the business is poor in my opinion . Inventory had to be updated and I listed health n safety issues we had . Took from September till now and still not sorted only when I've got very nearly abusive on the phone have things began to move in the form of an email to say the contractor has been given the go ahead . Didn't think much to the tone of the smart arsed lady's attitude, who will remain nameless, the on the other end of the phone either. I think they forget they represent the landlord as well as the tenant

Ok so you were keen on receiving a facebook review so here it is.... I think a week without heating in this house is absolutely appalling given it's the coldest November on record for 30 years... 5 people live in a house where we pay a decent amount of rent to you guys too, including a 4 year old with a very weak chest. I commend you for your quick actions last Friday in giving us 3 heaters (btw heaters use a lot on the electric and also they don't heat the whole house before you say anything as the heating does!!) but to have no resolution when in last Friday's & Tuesday's report the engineer stated it was the gas valve, so it's now a week without hot water / heating. My wife has been in tears this evening, so I want it fixed ASAP, again she took today off work as I did on Tuesday for which we won't be reimbursed... We aren't allowed to hold back rent but we are allowed (according to citizens advice) to use the rent money to fix the issue! Also you have an obligation to apply appropriate accommodation which as I've stated already that this isn't acceptable during the coldest November in 30 years!! There's 5 of us here so how do you expect 5 people to have luke warm (borderline cold) showers in this weather on top of that how do you expect us to get washing done etc I was keen not to put this on facebook but you forced my hand in taking longer than a week to get it fixed. This needs to be fixed tomorrow!!!!

I couldn't be happier with the help I received from Emily Hobbs Marla at Chancellors. She really went above and beyond. I made a mistake on one of my forms and I was sure I had lost my chance and renting the property I wanted. But Emily really pulled out all the stops and not only worked really hard but kept me in the loop at every step of the way. It's official I found an estate agency that I like. Thanks again for all the help.

After what was a shaky start, Chancellors went over and above their call of duty to deliver an impeccable service. In what seems a cut throat world of estate agents, I always had to pinch myself at how personable and genuinely caring they were at aiding the completion of a sale - particularly at such a shaky economic time as this. Amin who handled the transaction was truly beyond honest and professional from start to finish. Not one word of negative feedback to give about him! I would use Chancellors again without a doubt and would recommend them highly to anyone looking for good quality service.

Sold a flat in Sunbury with Chancellors in August/September. Despite a few sales not going through at first, the flat was eventually sold significantly above asking price. This is a testament to the patience and diligence of those involved at Chancellors, specifically Karl McHugh who worked tirelessly and was pivotal in achieving the sale. I found that communication was first class and I was always able to phone for reassurance or to ask a question without being made to feel like a nuisance. Despite the fact I probably was! My thanks to all involved and I would certainly recommend them again in the future. Charlie

Credit where it is due as they say. Chancellors High Wycombe and Georgina Peddle in particular have done a fabulous job for me. Georgina steered me though the process in my first time as a landlord. Always there with a happy outlook and keeping me on track. Finding the right tenant, checking the legal requirements, and even helping with some interior design ideas. I cannot thank her enough and under the strong leadership of Ian Thomas the whole team are a credit to the industry. I believe my property and my tenant are well supported by this type of service. Bravo!

The behaviour of some of your staff towards foreign customers is appalling. I would highly not recommend you as a fair and just estate agency. After my partner took out a rental in High Wycombe she has had a number of issues. Issue 1 - she was told that onsite parking would be available for myself to be able to park when visiting. Only now to be told that the only parking space available is for the use of builders and cleaners. Issue 2 - the advertisement for the property mentioned that wifi is available. So you'd think as student accommodation that it would be rather reliable. But no! The students within the house are now being told that the wifi is for emergency use only. Issue 3 - newly refurbished room promised from when she would be returning to High Wycombe from her home country. Upon her return no newly refurbished room. After moving into her newly refurbished room it was a bomb site on her floor nails and screws on floors and unable to access the kitchen on her floor. Issue 4 - the attitude of your staff in the High Wycombe branch to foreign customers was appalling. After over hearing a conversation between an employee and what appeared to be a landlord they mentioned how and I quote, "we're having issues with the customer as they're Polish". The welcome into the branch is not welcoming. After having all these issues with your property and company I assure you I will not be recommending your company to anyone. Students beware!

So at 19:40 the night before I get the keys for my rented flat, my girlfriend received an email to say we were missing a signature! Firstly the office has had a week to check the contract, secondly I paid £360 admin fees for this. Thirdly because of this balls up when receiving my inventory check this morning the lady had to take my keys back to the office, and not allow me to move in. No one was going to call me to tell me the situation. So now I am sat outside my new apartment, as I have had to move out of my old place with all of my stuff looking like a lemon! Thanks chancellors but you are shocking, I will let everyone I know to stay away from you!

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE, appalling service when trying to rent, have had over £5000 of our money signed a backdated tenancy agreement and now we've been told it's doubtful we'll get into the house tomorrow. Bit too late when we've booked a van and ended our current tenancy. Repeated attempts to contact anyone in the senior management team have been met with stony silence. Our lettings co-ordinator Zara has ignored emails and evaded answering our questions. Landlords and renters beware.

We could not have ask for a better specialist sales person than Anne Bellicoso! She was always on hand to offer any advice around the sale and the purchase of our property! She would always follow through with anything she said she would do and would always call back as soon as she could! This was the first property that myself and my wife were selling and she not only put us at ease but gave us some valuable tips we shall remember for the future!

I would like to take the time to thank everyone at Chancellors, Stanmore Branch for their help during the sale of our house. A very special mention though must go to Anne Bellicoso who has been absolutely outstanding in her conveyancing. Even to the point where she is saved on the phone under Amazing Anne. She has been extremely helpful and has prevented us from losing our minds through this stressful time. If we could give a rating of 100 stars then she would be worthy of it.

Avoid this company like the plague had 2 sales fall through on my house, withheld information from us to further delay us. Moved to another estate agent had to contact the CEO to get out of contract. Sold house via other estate agent at lower price for chancellors to come back and say original chain is back on only to find out 3 weeks later that it was all a cock and bull story. If I could mark a minus star I would. *****update 27/7/16 . please see further information as to how bad this company is in my replies below. They get worse as it goes on******

As a contractor working with Chancellors has been great the refurbishment dept and property managers are friendly and helpful. Casey Gramson and Elysia Phillips have been fantastic to work with. They help greatly to get jobs completed, relaying information to Landlords and tenants.

Chancellors Estate Agents have been managing a property we have been renting since September 2015. Our initial experience with their style of management made us feel they did not represent our needs let alone be our voice. From a substandard cleaning of the property which they thought was acceptable to waiting very long for repairs. It was so very frustrating to deal with them! Then came JESSICA CHALMERS of the South West Oxon Property Management who turned everything around! From prompt response to emails, follow ups and updating us of the progress all our concerns! She is polite, friendly but professional. We have pinched ourselves on a few occasions to make sure its not a dream. She is just FANTASTIC!!! Our most outstanding concerns have now got some attention and it honestly feels really good to know somebody is looking out for your comfort. Jessica, we cannot thank you enough for how much you've changed our first rental experience from a nightmare to pure heaven. The Five Stars are for you Jessica!! Thank you.

with advice asking us to market our house at over 30k less than value, plus a lack of competence, we regret ever signing up with Chancellors. waiting for the contract to end so we can go with more competent estate agents.

absolutely appalling service. i cancelled the contract with them within the 14 days period due to a change in circumstances. they never even visited the property to take photos and it was never placed on rightmove. what followed was 4 months of debt letters, demanding paying costs. now been sent a county court letter. completely ignored when i challenged the costs, taken off in under 7 days. disgusting level of service. NEVER use this agent.

I would like to share my experience as a seller with the Aylesbury branch. First I was quite surprised with the valuation of the property but was assured the property was priced correctly at £250,000. As I have lived in the road for 15 years I have seen many houses sold. All of which were resasonably priced and sold within a period of 2-6 weeks. Since I have been advertising with Chancellors, for 2 months, 2 properties have come on the market and are showing sold signs. I have had 12 viewings but no feedback. I had one offer in the first 2 weeks of £235,000 but was advised not to accept this as they could achieve closer to the asking price, stupidly I agreed. I realised this was a sensible offer and contacted the Branch to accept this, had to chase them for feedback to be told that the potential buyer was also looking at another property, no other feedback was received. After the experience with the offer I started to look closer into the way the sale was being dealt with, I posed as a potential buyer, gave requirements to match my property, bedrooms, area, size etc but was told that no appropriate properties were available in that area nor was it suggested that I went onto their mailing list. I have found the services of this branch in all departments to be inadequate, for example, lack of communication, unsuitable advice, no feedback, new and inexperienced/untrained staff and when telephoning the line diverts to the Head Office. We did talk about putting the house price down and I felt £235,000 was realistic but the branch did not and advised £240,000 which I did not agree with, the price therefore remained the same. I have taken my concerns to Head Office as the branch have not acknowledged them. When I advised I wanted to withdraw my property from their services I was told by the manager that he did not have the authority to release me from the contract and he quickly reminded me that I was legally bound by the contract. After my experience I have lost all trust and confidence with this branch to sell my house within the 24 week 0% commission period. I would recommend anyone wanting to sell their home to avoid falling into this trap and go elsewhere. Will keep you updated and maybe Head Office will redeem themselves.
