Great company, great staff!

After wanting to relocate I needed to sell my business. It wasn't as straight forward as selling my house and needed the help of an expert. I've been dealing with Jennifer M, who has been quite frankly - awful. I've had to chase, and chase, and chase - and as a buyer, that's unacceptable. It means you're not serving me as an investor, and you're not serving your paying client as a seller. The most simple and basic questions don't get answered for weeks at a time, and when they do finally remember to get back in touch with you, it's totally irrelevant to what you requested, anyway. Terrible, terrible service - and a terribly poorly run company. If you're an investor / business buyer, then avoid. Plenty of other business brokers who actually want to help get deals done. Avoid these wasters.

I have contacted Knightsbridge as a buyer for a business. I have always found them very polite and engaging, and taking my enquiries seriously to help vet the right opportunities. They contact sellers in good time and allow enough space to liaise with sellers too. Knightsbridge are quick to get back to me and I have communicated with a number of their Deal executives and had a similar experience. Definitely one of the better brokers to deal with and highly recommended.

We put our shop for sale with Knightsbridge as they were the most professional out of the agents we contacted. The phone was answered immediately and if they were busy they always called us back straight after. The number of viewers sent by them was incredible. Sara Manville, Jessica and the team are knowledgeable, friendly, approachable and professional and felt like friends by the time it was completed. Selling my business, Knightsbridge were pretty good overall, advertising etc was very good, but didn't achieve anywhere near the price they promised at the start. May have been over-ambitious, not fully understanding the nature of the small business I was selling, the economic climate we're in, the lack of serious buyers around at the moment or a mixture of all of the above. But before I spoke to them I didn't realise I could even sell the business for a profit, so I'm happy overall. They were friendly and professional throughout, but a little overzealous in requiring status updates in the final stages of negotiation.

I have worked with knightsbridge over the last year, to test the market and secure a buyer for one of my businesses. Whilst we have not secured a buyer, I found Leanne at knightsbidge very communicative and proactive in searching the market and setting up meetings with interested parties. Possible slight over valuation in the first instance clouded the judgement on what was achievable when speaking to buyers. But the process was solid. I chose to pull out of the market and build the business instead of selling.

What I hate most about this business is it's spamming technique that keeps hitting the catchall email address that I monitor. Niall Thomas sends so many spam emails as though they know who they're emailing, even though they're sent an email that is business owner name plus domain, so I get the fun of deleting yet another email. Unsubscribing doesn't work. Even their offer in their own email to stop emailing if no one responds doesn't stop them following up. Any business that sends emails to multiple emails they guess might works and continues to spam them is not one I would trust. Update: Now it's Victoria Hughes whos "realised I haven’t heard back from you" at addresses that DON'T EXIST. Just falling into our catchall. It's unbelievable how many attempts this company makes using variations of a director name plus our domain. New update: Now its Elliott Grant spamming at another email address that doesn't exist.

Whilst the sale of my business is at a very early stage, I am more than happy with the service received so far from Julie, Debbie and Elliot. Most recently Julie has contacted me several times updating me with the process going forward. Of course only time will time if KC are what they say they are, the number 1 in the UK for business sales. However, early indications are good and Julie and co have been most professional. I have previously sold 2 other businesses, 18yrs and 15yrs ago, and suffice it to say KC have been far more professional, more friendly and more helpful than the previous brokers we used, albeit it was 15 years ago. The signs are good so far, I hope the end result will be also.
