A huge thank you to the whole team at The Property Explorer, a true pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Whilst viewing properties and negotiating we dealt with Lisa, Rachel and Danny who were all very knowledgeable with great communication between the whole team and kept us up to date unlike other agents we had dealt with.Kevin dealt with the sales progression and was the perfect middle man to link everything together and pushing things forward. There were a few bumps along the road but Kevin was always there with a calm and proactive attitude to ensure that matters were dealt with promptly.We also used Stuart at Explorer Mortgages who went above and beyond. Not just keeping us up to date with an ever changing mortgage market but also pushing things through when we had a few issues with the lender.If you're thinking of buying or selling a property then you shouldn't look anywhere else, a fantastic team making for a pleasurable experience. Having been recommended by a neigbour…

Having been recommended by a neigbour we invited Property Explorer around to price our house and discuss package options, Oliver, the sales director, came round who we found very charming and professional.Having experienced some very incompetent sales staff in our own search we sought and gained assurances that only the senior staff at the office would deal with us direct and would undertake viewings and to this end another senior manager came to the house and we took him though its history and many of its advantages.We hesitated for some time before giving the go ahead as we had lived at the house for 26 years and were very attached to it. Oliver was very patient and let us do it at our own pace.When we gave the go ahead and having agreed to the professional media pack a gentlemen with cameras appeared within days and did a first class job with excellent photos and a fabulous virtual tour, very very impressive.We set the price ourselves as we felt the estimate from Property Explorer was on the low side and within days had our first viewing, unfortunately escorted by a very junior member of staff who had no knowledge of the house. I visited the office to set out my concerns and remind them of the promises given.Within 8 days we had 6 people wishing to view, a mass viewing was set up for the Saturday where appointments were made back to back for 3 hours solid, attended by the Saturday girl, again I visited the offices making it very clear we expected experienced sales staff to be on hand, as promised, new arrangements were made, for us to manage the 3 hours of viewing then they relented and agreed that senior staff would be present, and offers were receiced within hours and after some negotiation agreement reached, thus we were sold in less than 3 weeks.The company uses an on-line management tool to give you updates on progress. The office team did not seem to know my name as it was usually wrong in emails and took a while for them to get it right, they also set the on-line system incorrectly in the wrong name so obviously I couldn’t use it. It took them about 6 weeks before they accepted there was a problem and another few weeks before they corrected it and I could actually access it. And so in all that time I had no updates from them separately.To get any action at all I always had to contact Oliver to kick his staff into action.As we neared to exchange I was handed over to ’George’ as my expert customer support who was absolutely hopeless, if he responded to my requests for information at all he used a withheld phone number so we never knew who the messages were from or who to ring back, we would often not respond to these calls directly but go back thru Oliver because we felt that to do otherwise would encourage Georges incompetence.The most frustrating time was about a week before exchange when we needed information from George, who I emailed on the Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday finally on Monday send a stinging email of frustration to the directors.This, surprisingly was answered by a phone call from Kevin where he argued with me about the competence of his staff for about ten minutes, and guess what, it all turned out to be my fault! I brought this fiasco to a halt and asked about the substance of my email, he had no idea what it was I was asking for, despite having spoken to George all he was interested in was pushing back my complaint, he hadn't actually enquired about what I had contacted them about for the past 5 days!It being Monday morning I asked him if my concerns had been raised at the Monday morning office meeting, no, it hadn’t, "we have lots of clients we can't discuss them all" was the response, I was astonished, that with 5 days of attempting to get an answer, days away from exchange, my sale and my concerns didn’t even register in their management meetings.During the whole sale and purchase process I only ever had 3 sleepness nights and all of them were caused by Property Explorer, a more incompetent group of people are difficult to imagine, we would never use them again and never recommend them to anyone else, they talk the talk but don’t actually do anything they promise.But, you sold your house under 3 weeks, I hear you say, so they were successful, well yes technically that’s correct but let me say it was a very lovely house in a beautiful setting, exceptionally well maintained, with a brilliant photographic and video media pack, put on the two largest on line house selling sites, Property Explorers involvement was minimal, frustrating and incompetent at every stage.Its worth mentioning that we moved 6 weeks ago and have not had a single contact from them, no thank you for your business, no, we hope you enjoy your new home, no apology, certainly no invite to review them - not surprisingly - steer well clear of this incompetent bunch. There will of course be a rebuttal where it turns out to be all my fault!

Fantastic service for the second time!

Just used The Property Explorer for the second time to sell our home and once again a 5 star service from the entire team! They secured a fantastic buyer for our home and the whole sale process was smooth and stress free! I want to personally thank Stuart their Mortgage Broker who also managed to switch our mortgage product early so that we would avoid paying a huge redemption charge when the sale completed. This saved us so much money! He was helpful throughout the entire process and did all the direct contact with our bank to make sure it was all done at the right time. It was such a relief for me as as it was one less thing I had to think about. Stuart I honestly can’t thank you enough and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend your services to family & friends. I also want to give a special mention to Hayley Butler at Rowberry Morris Solicitors, who again we have used before, and she was an absolute star in making sure we exchanged contracts as quickly as possible as she was aware that we needed to complete by a certain date. Again everything went completely smoothly and the whole process was stress free. Hayley simply gets things done and you never have to chase her for anything! Thank you all again! You really have been amazing, especially during a really tough market at the moment.

We didn’t have a smooth sale to start with but this was no fault of the Property Explorer but down to Liss Trust and the increase in inflation. Overall happy, just overvalued the house!

Overall very happy with property explorer. The only slight negative is that they overvalued our house at the start and we ended up selling at about £18k less than originally marketed for. This means we had much higher expectations of a sale price we could achieve so accepted a ‘lower’ offer was hard. But the team are very polite, friendly and helpful. Especially Kevin who helped us through a particularly stressful exchange!

Property Explorer best in Basingstoke area.

When you look for an Estate Agent it can be a bit of a Minefield. However the Property Explorer provided excellent service and managed to sell our property in just over a week. All the drawbacks and problems with other Estate Agents were dealt with immediately so everything ran smoothly from Marketing to Sale. The whole Team are very professional and combine together to achieve the goal of selling a Property in quick time for a realistic price. I would urge anyone in Basingstoke to use the Property Explorer and ignore other Estate Agents who do not deliver on what they say.
