I was with Clan Gordon for a year and half and i cant fault anything really. It was my first time ever renting through a letting agency and what a delight it was. Everything was explained clearly from the beginning and if i ever had any questions or issues i just had to pick up the phone or email and i would have a quick response. i was always notified with plenty notice if anyone was needing to get into the property for maintenance checks and inspections. All in all very satisfied with Clan Gordon and will plan to use again when i am looking to rent again and recommend to anyone who is looking for a letting agent. Thanks again Clan Gordon

Switched to Clan Gordon as a landlord recently. Wanted tenants to have a comfortable experience and trust the Clan Gordon teams expertise and principles to manage their properties well. I'm grateful for how smooth the handover was from the previous agency given I don't live in Edinburgh. From a tenants perspective, Clan Gordon are absolutely brilliant. I've been a tenant in a number of places over the years and never felt a particular affiliation to a letting agent until now. Over two years I was so impressed with their quick responses, polite and friendly manner and commitment to resolving a tricky issue in the property. During Covid they were fantastically supportive and as someone who was living alone they helped me to feel really safe in my home. In our admittedly limited experience of long term lets, Clan Gordon must be the Rolls Royce of Edinburgh letting agencies. Great tenant support - was with them for two years as a student and they treated us respectfully and like adults (which is often not the case in a student-letting agent relationship). Always responsive to emails and quick, efficient sorting of maintenance requirements. Only negative I can recall was not getting full deposit returned at the end of the lease - this was a small contention to do with repainting walls (that we as tenants argued would be happening for the next tenants regardless and disputed paying for it as exiting residents). I am one of the tenant that is staying within the rental properties they have. Clan Gordon has been an absolute delight to work with - fast, responsive, professional and on the ball. Relocated from London to Edinburgh during the lockdown - the service provided by Clan Gordon was spectacular. They were extremely responsive and answered all of our questions and concerns well in advance of moving in. Having had poor experiences in the past with letting agents, Clan Gordon were a pleasant surprise. On move-in date, everything was done in a timely manner and the agent was helpful in idetifying any outstanding items which needed to be addressed. The inventory report was easy to complete - all online and very comprehensive. We had one issue with a couple of the radiators not working in the first week which we reported online and the maintenance team responded promptly to help us resolve the issue. Update November 2020 - Once again excellent service but this time from Lauren Hunter. She efficiently arranged remedial work to be carried out following an Electrical Installation Condition Report check. She also took on board our queries and saved us from having unnecessary work. It is reassuring to know especially in these Covid times that Clan Gordon is still operating to the same high standards. Thank you. Update August 2019 - Still excellent service - this time from Mike with detailed home visit report and prompt chase up of any question we had. Great service both for landlords and tenents. Update to the review below posted a year ago. Still excellent service all round and very glad we picked Clan Gordon as letting agent. We have an older property with more needs in maintenance and they take out the stress of dealing with these things remotely. We just want to say a huge thank you to you and your team and in particular to Natalie, for all the hard work and support that has been put in to sorting out the extensive water damage at our flat over the last 5 months. Having only recently started to rent out the property, as first time landlords, it was a baptism of fire (or rather water!) for us when the water leak occurred. However to have everything being dealt with so efficiently and professionally was really brilliant. Your communication with us could not be faulted and included regular updates by phone, email and also photographs. We fully appreciate that to achieve this end product there have been many many hours of hard work not only by Clan Gordon but also by the various contractors. We feel that liaison with the tenant must also have been most professional, continuous, reassuring and informative. I have been living at a flat that Clan Gordon manages for a little over two years now. I have been very appreciative of their handling of minor and major issues over the past couple months. Most recently we had very frequent boiler "failures" where we'd wake up with no heat due to a collapse in water pressure---they sent out an engineer several times and he eventually diagnosed a likely leak. The leak worsened suddenly and Clan Gordon immediately got help out regarding turning off the water, and then sent a very competent plumber to find and repair the leak, which was under our flooring. They then sent out a joiner who did an excellent job putting the flooring back on. A few months prior to this they got a joiner out to repair a rotten piece of our interior staircase, who did a nice job on that, and another person to refinish our wood countertops, who also did a nice job on that. It's good to be able to count on such a prompt and successful response to "home emergencies".

When my partner and I moved into our home in July, we found that the shower ran cold after about 5 minutes. Clan Gordon sent out a plumber the day after we reported this and then again and again when the problems persisted. When the realisation was made that the boiler needed to be replaced, Hannah from Clan Gordon liaised with our landlord and arranged for a boiler replacement which obviously took some convincing! We're very happy we're now able to take long hot showers and heat our flat properly. Very happy with the speedy responses to any issues and the eventual fix.
