I have been supporting my 85 year old Mum selling her wonderful family home in Pedmore and buying a bungalow 7 doors further up the road. The team at Lex Allan Stourbridge sold our home in a pandemic. That in itself surely speaks volumes about this company. They are experienced, professional & dedicated at all levels and give a very personal service to their clients. Flexible and respectful of people’s individual preferences, they have worked within the guidelines and confines of Covid19 without allowing it to compromise the service they offer in any way. Every enquiry is followed through, their photography and video presentation is excellent. Emails are answered promptly, Harry is a joy to deal with and is always available on the phone to answer queries and arrange viewings. The whole process of selling our family home of 18 years was a seamless process and any hiccups and slight delays were quickly ironed out. Selling up and moving on can be a very stressful business but Lex Allan as a company understand this only too well and are ready to steer your sale sensitively, they are also ready to give advice if you need it. A long established business that is operated with great integrity and professionalism but with a real personal touch, leaving you with the feeling you’ve been looked after by friends. Their valuation was accurate (unlike other agents who gave us inflated prices to try and secure the sale), the professional pictures were great and as a result, we got multiple viewings and ended up getting a very fair price secured. The worst experience I have ever had with an estate agent. We spent the first 4 months in the property with no heating, and this was when the country was hitting minus temperatures. And from there on they have been an absolute nightmare. We are currently vacating a property and they have been so much hassle, and such a lack of support. Nobody wants to pick up the phone and speak to you directly. Nobody wants to calmly ease your concerns. But everybody wants to email ambiguous statements and not answer any questions. There is no sense of urgency from them and they do as little as possible when they are making little profit from you. My husband was provided with misleading information at the final inspection and I am just overall upset with their service and overwhelmed with their lack of compassion. Since going through this process with them my health has suffered, I haven't slept in weeks and my weight has plummeted dramatically. They have caused such a culture of stress through their narrow arrangements of customer service. I am pretty sure the good reviews on here are fake because I certainly didn't receive what they others have!

We had the good fortune of choosing Lex Allan to handle both the acquisition of our current property and the sale of our previous property - which overlapped by a few weeks. We secured our current property in a bidding situation against many other bidders and Lex Allan's marketing stance and customer support and communications were first class. Having secured the property, the legal process entailed quite a messy situation involving the inefficiencies of the Probate Office in Newcastle (who took many months to sort out the probate of the deceased person whose house we were buying and then the documents had to go back as they got it wrong) and associated "discussions" between Estate Agents, solicitors, and the Government Department (who stubbornly refused to talk to anyone!). There was a high risk we may have had to pull out of the deal but the Lex Allan staff jumped on the situation and made things happen and let us know instantly what was going on. As regards the sale of our previous property, their efficient marketing campaign generated 12 viewings in 2 weeks - all of which we initially handled ourselves. Then Jess from LA suggested she handled the last viewing - and lo and behold sold the house within an hour of the viewing at an excellent price! In summary, the levels of commitment and customer communication and "making things happen without asking " were superb throughout (even from Lex himself when needed) and often, they would inform us of what was going on before even the solicitors did. EXCELLENT customer service. I would have no hesitation in recommending Lex Allan to anyone in the house buying / sale process and would especially thank Jess Bryan (who was our lead contact) for effort over and above the call of duty and also Kelby Pierpoint for their considerable efforts throughout.
