I have just completed on my house sale and used Hunters, Stourbridge. Steve came round initially and provided the reassurance I needed that Hunters would sell my property for me… and they did. Ellie was the agent who dealt with me and she has been superb. Very patient and supportive and most importantly Pro Active when it came to selling my house and then during the conveyancing process. Ellie kept me updated, offered support and advice and seemed to be the crucial link that kept all parties on track through to completion. Absolutely brilliant service from Hunters in Stourbridge. After meeting with a couple of agents to sell my Grandmother's family home I came across Ellis Hill from Hunters Stourbridge branch, we went for the Hunters Exclusive package, Ellis was absolutely fantastic from start to finish, I cannot fault his work ethic’s, he kept me informed on a regular / daily basis of any updates & there was always a good steady flow of people interested & wanting to the view the property, I did the viewings myself, so myself & Ellis always communicated well as a team discussing the thoughts of the interested parties alike. I really can’t praise this company enough, Ellis deserves so much recognition for the way he conducts himself & he is such a lovely person too, a genuine gentleman. I am writing this review for the lettings side of the business, for Bec and Stan. Hunters are brilliant! In every way possible they are there to help and advise and go the extra mile. Running a business I understand how hard it is to find excellent people and hunters seem to have many excellent people. They are responsive, always available when needed and realistically, I can see in the local area why most the for sale and to let boards say Hunters as they are brilliant and have an excellent reputation. I recommend for sales, lettings and purchase advice of property as they are on all the portals (which is important in my opinion) -and their service level has been 10/10. Updated: I have recently been working with Elisha and Ellis and Harry - who all carry on the Hunters values with great care, attention to detail and professionalism. I am very impressed with Hunters and their team. Elisha has been excellent and i value her professionalism and quickness - everything is done in record time with no delays. Ellis is incredible! What an inspiration! Always happy, always 100% positive, a real gem of a true professionalism. I would strongly advise others to think…

I would strongly advise others to think twice before renting through this estate agent. When we signed our tenancy agreement, the property was advertised and agreed with included parking, which was a key factor in our decision to rent the flat. However, just a few months into our tenancy, the parking was suddenly closed off and made unavailable. This caused significant inconvenience and disruption to our daily lives, especially as parking had been a major factor in choosing this property. What’s particularly frustrating is how the situation was handled. The estate agent did very little to help resolve the issue and took no responsibility whatsoever, despite the parking being part of what was originally offered. Communication was poor, and we were essentially left to deal with the consequences on our own. During this time, we were forced to park in a Tesco car park and pay for parking after work. On multiple occasions there were no spaces available, meaning I had to drive around late in the evening trying to find alternative parking elsewhere. This was both stressful and time-consuming. To try and resolve the issue, my partner had to take several hours out of his working day over the course of a week, including attending a three-hour meeting. Despite this effort, the only solution offered was for the landlord to contribute just 50% towards alternative parking, which was located far away from our building in a public car park. Even with this contribution, it would still leave us paying over £100 extra per month for something that was originally included. To make matters worse, the flat has now been re-let at a significantly lower price than we were paying. We were paying £1,200 per month with parking included, yet it has since been advertised for under £1,000 per month without parking. In that context, the offer to contribute just 50% towards inconvenient, off-site parking feels completely inadequate and frankly quite insulting. We were ultimately forced to find a new property, which cost us hundreds of pounds in moving expenses, required taking multiple days off work, and caused a huge amount of stress. Despite this, the agent offered no compensation and even suggested we should be grateful to have been released from the contract. Once we had agreed to leave due to the parking issues and lack of support, we were then required to accommodate viewings of the property. This took up additional hours of my partner’s working day and caused further disruption at an already stressful time while we were trying to organise our move. Only months after we moved out did the agent state that the landlord would cover the additional parking costs we incurred, but this was conditional on us agreeing to drop any other potential claims. We will not be agreeing to this. Had they taken proper responsibility for misrepresenting the property and the significant inconvenience, cost, and stress caused, this situation may have been handled very differently. The issues didn’t stop there. They then attempted to charge us money from our deposit for items such as “discoloration in the washing machine drawer”, something that was already documented in the original check-in report. They provided an amount for repair without any supporting cost evidence. When we challenged this and requested proof, the quotes we eventually received were extremely high and unreasonable. We had to stand our ground and escalate the matter to TDS for dispute resolution, and only then did we end up paying only 40% of what they were trying to charge. It has now been months since we left the property and we still have not received our full deposit back, which is adding further financial strain and stress. Overall, this experience has been extremely disappointing. A letting agent should provide support, take responsibility, and offer fair, reasonable solutions when issues arise. Unfortunately, this agent failed on all counts, and I would not recommend using them

Due to unforseen circumstances we had to move, after viewing a few houses we got a call back from the agent Rebecca Wood and within a week we had the keys. She was so efficient and professional every step of the way. Some work needed doing and Rebecca was on the ball since day one, getting it sorted and pushed through. As a first-time landlord looking to rent my flat out, I found the advice and guidance provided by Hunters very helpful. Using their knowledge, they ensured the property was pitched at a suitable market value and marketed it successfully. The property was also placed with another estate agent but the number of enquiries through Hunters was substantially greater. Hunters effectively managed these enquiries and associated viewings making sure I was kept informed of how things were progressing. During the time Hunters have been manging the property I have found all the members of the team equally approachable and happy to help with queries. They always respond in a friendly and accommodating way and follow things through quickly e.g. when Becky was recently away Elisha responded immediately to an email request and helped coordinate things with the tenant in quick and efficient way. Would certainly recommend Hunters as agents to help you if you are looking to rent out your property.

From the beginning of the process, we loved the way they marketed our house as well as the price they valued our house for - which was just right - as some estate agents over-inflate the sale price to entice you. When needed, they gave us advice and totally respected our choices.
