It was a pleasure dealing with Gowland White. I was rather concerned about the prospect of selling a property belonging to my late sister since I live neither in Stockton nor even in the UK. Most of the time, I had to rely on emails rather than personal contact, but replies were always both swift and informative. I was given full and regular details of the visits and the offers, and when I was able to call at the Agency, there was always a warm welcome. I never had the impression that I was pestering them for information before they had information to give, and they were even able to help with emptying the contents of the house. The sale went through quickly and efficiently, and Gowland White are to be heartily congratulated. There is a first-rate, young team at 17, Bishop Street, and I unhesitatingly recommend them.

Although not our initial choice, I was impressed that I had a follow up email from Gowland White when my property was not selling with another agent. I swapped to Gowland White and had more enquiries in a week than I had in 3 months with the other agent. I had two offers and was then patiently guided to completion. I was kept informed all the way with regular calls and emails. The staff I spoke to were always happy to take calls if I wanted to ask anything. Gowland White have been assisting me in purchasing a property that was for sale with themselves. Unfortunately we were in a chain and the sale fell through on 2 separate occasions, however thankfully the sale finally went through last week after around 8 months since having our offer accepted. It has been a frustrating time however the team at Gowland White, in particular Emma and Barbara have been fantastic in keeping me updated, keeping me sane, liaising with the sellers and when the time came, pushing through the sale as quickly as physically possible. They are just genuinely nice people who try to do their best to help people regardless whether you're the seller or buyer. I recently purchased a property through Gowland White, Stockton-on-Tees. Normally a buyer’s interactions with the selling agent would be limited to the initial period when a sale was being agreed. Here, I found everyone at Gowland White to be courteous, efficient, and prompt in dealing with my requirements. At this stage, I thought no more of it because, after all, one would expect a good sales team to be just that. Except, with my purchase, there were bumps along the way in later stages. Few problems at the beginning which had nothing to do with Gowland however they where always available to answer questions and queries and we found that Barbara was amazing to liase with, very polite and lovely to talk to. As for Carol Mitchell our mortgage advisor- fantastic and we wouldn't go with anyone else but her now. Absolutely fantastic lady who works ALL hours to ensure your looked after.
