would not recommend this company to any landlord. The fees are extremely high, with additional charges that are not always made clear from the outset. Communication is poor, and it is often very difficult to get hold of staff when you need support or answers.

GoogleI have recently purchased a property through Bridgfords in Stockport which did take quite a long time although this was due to complications in the chain. Angela was very helpful and provided regular updates along the way, making the process as painless as possible. I would have had less confidence with many other estate agents and maybe not continued with the purchase. I can't praise Angela highly enough with regards to her efforts.

GoogleAngela has been amazing throughout our entire property purchase experience. Unfortunately we were stuck with a solicitor who was not very pro-active which caused some delays in our purchase. Just wanted to mention the first Class service received by Ellie in the Tynemouth office. She is more than helpful every time I speak to her. I am a Landlady and despite the extremely expensive charges Bridgefords have for every aspect of Letting, it is Ellie who is polite, extremely efficient, always pleasant and a delight to deal with. Service like this needs to be recognised ...Ellie should run the office as nothing is ever too much trouble. I was visiting recently from London and Ellie was off, sadly. Other staff were on the phone and didn't even acknowledge I was there! so rude considering the money I pay them. I am in the Property business myself, so know how people expect to be treated. Well done Ellie, you are an asset to Tynemouth!

We met Lee Johnson from Countrywide without any knowledge about house buying or what is needed to make it happen. He enabled us to create our credit profile as we had never had credit before and needed this to get a mortgage. He told us everything about getting the maximum we can afford from our salaries, making sure we had the best mortgage provider/rate and also ensuring that if anything bad was to happen, the house and our earnings would be covered and the house would be paid for! Lee I cannot thank you enough for enabling me and my wife go from renting to homeowners with peace of mind. Especially during a time of mortgage uncertainty (late 2022). Fantastic work! I highly recommend Lee to anyone who is either new to buying/selling or is seeking advice on what to do! THANK YOU! You have made our journey effortless.

I had an appointment booked for today at 2.p.m with the view to put my house on the market so I would be in a position to make an offer on a viewing tomorrow. I received a call around 1.30 to inform me that the agent is running 30 minutes late, making the expected visit for 2.30. 3.15 came. I rang the agents to be told she's not attending. To rub salt in the wounds furthermore I was told she couldn't come to me because of traffic and she would make the visit after me late. Viewing cancelled as I had wasted my day off waiting round for nothing.

Contractors should avoid at all costs!! We fitted a cylinder in a property for this agent, and have received no payment, now three month overdue. They tried to pass us onto the landlord when we’ve worked direct with them. We’ve still heard nothing, despite numerous calls, emails, complaints. We will be forced to get a debt recovery involved. Would not recommend working for them!

Great communication via phone and email, I’ve been kept up to speed at every step of the way. Negotiated charges also very clear and reasonable.
