From start to finish our dealings with all the team at William H Brown have been excellent. From the initial enquiry about putting our house on the market through to its sale we have found everyone to be extremely helpful. Jack has been very helpful in our dealings with our buyers and acted as a great go-between for a few things which has meant we have a very good relationship with the buyers now rather than just a name on a piece of paper. They recommended the solicitors we have used who have also done a very good job and kept us well informed every step of the way. We weren't able to use the team for our onward purchase as we are moving away from the area but would like to thank them for making the whole process as smooth and stress-free as possible. Definitely recommend them as go-to for your next house sale or purchase.

Steve Allardyce is the lettings manager and goes above and beyond for his customers. I was unfortunate enough to be the victim of a house fire, which meant I needed to rent a property through the insurance company, which was a nightmare. Steve however was continuously chasing the insurance company and ensuring that everything was done. Which meant my family and I were out of a hotel and into a house before Christmas. This would not have happened without Steve and his tenacity.

Mr. Deniz Temelgum was recommended to us. The innocuous approach WHB did was to suggest an independent broker (Mr. Temelgum) who provided a fair and impartial practical approach to a recent house of interest. First and foremost, Mr. Temelgum was very accommodating in the dates and times for the initial call, which concluded with no pressure on retreading and returning to him in case the search was on other property and (dare I say it, other brokers advice), which he understood was the nature of the business. ('Get a second opinion'). After pushing an interest in another house, Mr. Temelgum, again, was accommodating in his flexibility with a date and time for another call. To note, although I apologised for his time taken and thanked him for his efforts, he *did* stay after hours on a Friday evening in great attempts to not only explain the basics, the ins-and-outs and the systems for the mortgage, he checkpointed through and showed us openly how the different products worked and yielded. If I were to offer constructive criticism, a few of the selected boxes that were not chosen I had to stop and ask what were they for since they may have been of importance and overlooked (at least in one opinion). However, the thorough explanations of the steps both in and outside his remit (including solicitors and the economy of the housing market) was very impressive, pointing out the obvious flaws and benefits of each product and situation without losing patience (including a unbeknownst question regarding mortgage fraud which was later seen obvious). Mr. Temelgum has so far been consistently outstanding in his approach and due dilligence in the search for a new home and I can highly recommend him whether a client is on their first home, buying-to-let, or a professional investor with a wide portfolio looking to expand. Edit: The process has been through to completion and can honestly say Deniz has been forthright and helpful in every single facet of the process. He has facilitated with ease (but hard work behind the scenes) more than what I wanted. Highly recommend even if outside of William H Brown and/or the Stevenage/Herts area.

I didn’t know I needed a Scott in my life until I met Scott Forbes Hayter - the opposite of what the name may suggest, Scott is friendly, funny, helpful and was always available for any questions I had, the best estate agent I have ever used! Deniz, the mortgage advisor, was equally as lovely and helpful, although not quite as funny. Genuinely though, they have both been so helpful, patient and lovely and have helped take off a lot of the stress. Thank you both lots!

I approached william h brown in Stevenage to value a property I have been planning to selI. I also contacted other agencies in Stevenage, however felt disappointed with their attitude & approach. I was visited by Scott (the branch manager) & found him very positive, optimistic & genuinely excited about my home, which was refreshing after my experience with other agents. Scott has been a delight from our first meeting- very funny, friendly, yet proffesional and knowledgeable. He is extremely responsive (I can call him on Sunday 8pm with any question I have). He is one of the very few genuine estate agents & I cannot praise him enough for his help & support. I also appreciate Jack’s and Deniz’s honest advice, help and support throughout the selling process. They’re all lovely and easy to work with.

My partner and I are first time buyers and have found the whole complex process very simple thanks to Deniz our mortgage broker. He has been extremely helpful and very knowledgeable which has been invaluable in getting the mortgage on our dream property. Initially viewing properties with WHB and because I was a first time buyer, I had no clue what to do or how to start the process apart from viewing properties that I liked on Zoopla/Rightmove. WH Brown recommended for me to see Deniz as he's a mortgage advisor and would be able to guide me. It's definitely the best decision I've made. Deniz has been amazing all throughout the process! It wasn't a smooth route because of my situation but Deniz did everything he could to get me a mortgage offer. Honestly, this guy never stops working! I try not to bother him after working hours (sometimes I could not help myself when I worry as mortgage could get really stressful) I tell him not to reply but he still does! We can’t speak highly enough of Deniz & how hard he works! Not only is he very professional & knowledgable, he’s also a really nice & friendly person which makes a very stressful process so much easier. We have used mortgage brokers in the past who we built no rapport with & acted like the application process was too much work for them - working with Deniz was a totally different experience! Deniz at William h Brown is the most transparent! Hard working person I have ever encountered as a mortgage broker! He is honest and down to earth. He made our mortgage application process very smooth and honestly he went above and beyond! When I decided to sell I had 4 different Estate agents come to do the valuation, Scott from William H Brown was one of them, he was straight forward and honest. I have a disabled 4 year old who has life limiting conditions and who needs adaptations done so that she can live a somewhat normal life. I could not have these done on my property due to my Ex husband being on the mortgage and needed his permission to do the adaptations. My only option was to sell and move elsewhere, the team at William H Brown seemed the best out of all estate agents so I decided to go with them. I am so glad I did.
