Our Dealings with Taylors Lettings of Stevenage have been very good , we decided to put our property up for rental in March of this year, we looked around at the local rental market & the company's that dealt with that side of the business , we came across Taylors after they were recommended to us by a family member, and to be honest they have ticked all the boxes , we were initially nervous about renting our property out ,but Ashley Lane & Harry King have been brilliant, they answered all our questions & queries about the rental market , they advised us on numerous issues , and to their credit it has all gone smoothly, they basically sort everything out for you , from what you can get for your property , to vetting potential tenants , to collecting your rent , looking after & checking on your property & making sure the Tenant is as well . To this end , myself & my wife would highly recommend Taylors of Stevenage & especially Ashley & Harry to take care of the worries that go with the rental market.

Ellie and her team were both professional and transparent. They focused on ensuring everyone in our chain was updated and kept informed of the sale progressions - even providing her mobile phone number whilst she went on a few days holiday! Taylors certainly went the extra mile and although there was a collapse of chain with a buyer having to pull out days after we should have exchanged, Ellie not only fixed it by finding another buyer, she ensured the sales went through as quickly as was possible. I have written this even though I wasn't a customer of Taylors at the time. I was the last in the chain of 6 that fell apart - had it not been for Taylors involvement and commitment to their client & indeed the rest of the chain as a result, I would have pulled out of the sale due to the lack of communication & apparent understanding of progressing a sale from my own agent. Thank you and wish more agents would adopt this tenacious attitude to provide such an excellent service.

Taylors Stevenage are just the perfect team when you want to sell or buy your home. We first met Pete, who talked us through what the processes were when selling and buying a home. We had been in our home for 32-years so technically first time buyers. Pete was so astute, as he recognised we needed further support to assist our overall decision making and did it in such a way that we accepted the support. I can not thank Pete enough. Our home was sold in days by two great sellers, Helen and Megan (what a team). But keeping the team together was the manager Ellie, our god send. She walked the journey with us, assisted us over any barriers that got in the way. We had first class treatment by all in the branch. 9-months in a chain, we sold and moved. Thank you so much for such a professional, motivated, committed A team.

After having my property on the market for 6 months with 2 diffrent Agents. I was approached by Taylors. Pete came over to give me a valuation and my property was sold with in 17 hrs from Pete leaving my property. I wish I'd of gone to them in the 1st place. They have been very honest through out the whole process and always on hand if I need anything. I've been to the office a few times and all the staff are very friendly and welcoming. I also used the in house financial services advisor Chloe. She has been so good and very helpful. With Chloes help I was able to gain a higher value mortgage with a great intrest rate. Taylors have gone over and above for me and I would highly recommend then to anyone in stevenage. Id also Highly recommend Chloe, even to just sit down for 30 mins because I was shocked at how much I could borrow compared to my original mortage. Ellie was fabulous it helping me with the purchase of my flat. I am a first time buyer and the whole process is scary but it was a comfort knowing that she was there to help me every step of the way. I could always get in contact with her and the other agents. Chloe Eley is also great for offering advice on your mortgage and speaks to you in terms that you can understand and is honest and reasurring. I would of probably had a lot more grey hairs if these two hadn't helped me through this. 5****

Booked to view a property in bradley stoke by someone called Joe. He rang in the morning to confirm, we went for our viewing for no one to turn up for at least 10 - 15 minutes late, then he didn't have the keys and had no idea how to get in and said his phone doesn't work. He then walked off after cancelling our viewing, soon after another couple turned up to view the property and they were there to meet the same agent who they called to come straight back, he came back and give the same excuses to the next couple

The association with the Taylor's is very great. I really had hard time at my flat with some of the problems prevalent at the property. The team especially, Victoria Bower, Ashley and James have addressed the issues and made sure to fix them though it took little longer time than expected. Poor experience. Myself and 3 others had put down a deposit on a house in Stevenage from July 2020. However, two weeks before move in date the landlord apparently didn’t have an up to date HMO contract (this is something the landlord and estate agents should have known). The landlord was then asking us to pay which is technically prohibited but we were willing to do this just to not lose this house. In the end the landlord decided to back out because he couldn’t afford an 8 week delay in rent until the HMO contract was renewed. I have no idea why Taylor’s would want to represent such an unorganised and unaccountable landlord. We were really let down.

There are no words to express how poor Taylors in Stevenage are. Got handed keys to our flat (renting), and found the place had new damp/moult inset, broken windows, drawings all over the walls, and the bathroom was so rancid I had to see the GP for irritation to my vocal tract due to the toxic smell. We tried getting hold of the estate agent on the day to deal with these issues, but after initially being promised a call back, they clearly turned their phones off and locked up the office. The emergency maintenance line they provided also failed to answer, so we were left stuck. Now, almost a month later, we have not been able to move in. We are fighting for release form our tenancy, as well as getting a full refund - but the people we have been dealing with have lied to us, deceived us, been incredibly rude, and clearly couldn't care at all. We were promised a COVID safe deep clean of the property before our move in date, which did not happen. And, despite confirmation in writing, they are now saying it was not their responsibility to clean. Madness. The property is not safe for habitation in its current condition. We have reported them to all relevant agencies and regulators, and we will be seeking legal action. Avoid at all costs.

Avoid!

If I could give less than 1 star I would. I would never rent from this or any other associated companies ever again and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. The experience I had from the time my tenancy ended until I had my deposit partially returned was nothing short of farcical. Their lack of communication and unwillingness to help or address any of my concerns made the process of moving significantly more stressful than it needed to be. They were far more interested in money, they have no desire to provide a decent service for their tenants. I ended up losing a portion of my deposit for which was completely unnecessary cleaning purely due to the fact that I was given the run around from the day I moved out. Had I not reluctantly agreed this saga would still be ongoing and I wouldn't have had any of my money returned. They repeatedly lied about the reason for a sudden increase in this pricing, refused point blank to provide an invoice, refused to listen to any concerns I had and effectively refused to discuss anything until I threatened to seek legal advice. Only then did I receive a phone call. This person was unable give any reason or address any of my concerns, and could not tell me why I was unable to have any sort of invoice. They also lied that the landlord had contacted me when he had not. Even after agreeing to pay these (illegal) cleaning fees just so I could be done with the whole situation it still took a further email and telephone call to have my money returned. Absolute joke of an agency. Avoid at all costs. If you do happen to rent with them take photographs of everything because they will use any excuse under the sun to keep your money.
