Mather Marshall are an independent estate agency with four offices in Hertfordshire and have selling and letting homes since 1990. The Stevenage Office is situated at the top of The Old Town High Street and is often the first agent buyers come to when walking into The Old Town from the station. We have an experienced team with a wealth of knowledge of Stevenage and the surrounding areas. We are able to offer free advice on marketing of properties for sale or rent. GoogleDo not put yourself through renting with Mather Marshall Stevenage. Having rented for around 6 years Mather Marshall of Stevenage have been by far the worst. The staff are unable to communicate amongst themselves. They also fail to reply to emails especially when you are challenging them. Pushing water uphill is easier than trying to get a response out of them. We moved into a property which is meant to be managed by this company and it had several repairs outstanding which took 3 months to address and required chasing several times. This was the start of months of issues with repairs not being completed within a timely manner despite reporting and chasing several times. At the end of the tenancy they thought they had the right to enter the property whenever they liked to the point that they were outside of the property trying to do a viewing but did not confirm this with us. Not even worthy of the 1 star rating..

I would recommend Mather Marshall to anybody. Their unfaltering effort and support was a massive help. I don't think the sale (and our purchase) would have gone through if it wasn't for the proactive way in which they managed the chain The focus and drive to get this over the line cannot be questioned. A massive thank you to all of the team involved!!

They worked so hard to make sure our sale was completed by the end of last year, it was tough going and we are very grateful that Barry had such a good knowledge on how to get us through selling our leasehold, but we got there in the end all thanks to the team! All emails and phone calls were answered straight away and nothing seemed to much for them! GoogleCalled them to book a viewing on first day and then told someone will call after speaking with tanent. Then second day no call back so called back again and was told, someone is sortkng the viewing and will contact to arrange but nothing till next day and called third time and was told there were viewings today and someone took the property. So frustrated and said why i was not called, i called and then was told might missed. So spoke about another property and was told it is available and will call me after speaking with tanents to arrange a viewing. No call till now. Very unprofessional

And that's what I got with Mather Marshall. I have used their lettings management service for about 9 years and recently used the sales team to sell my property. The lettings service was great. Very professional and reliable. The sales team also did a fantastic job. I liaised with Barry, the sales manager, and he did a sterling job in selling my apartment in what were a tricky market conditions. I would have no hesitation in recommending these guys to any landlords who wants a professional and reliable lettings management company, or for anyone else who is looking to sell their property.

When I was thinking of selling my property I decided to have 2 estate agents over, the first was Barry from Mather Marshall in Stevenage, he was friendly, I didn’t feel pressured but felt a great sense of trust in this company! The second agent came over and this was the opposite feeling! Mather Marshall set up two viewings on one day, I left it to them to show my viewers around as I thought I’d under sell my property and they were the experts right! Well they certainly were because one viewer put her offer in and there was no looking back! I had lived at my property for 23years and obviously a novice when it came to moving, I would have a question, I’d email the office and would get a reply straight away or a friendly phone call to put my mind at ease. I am now settled in to my new home and would most certainly recommend Mather Marshall to everyone! They are simply the best!

In this era of social media I liked that MM would typically phone me to give me updates and make sure that I had all that I needed. So it started with purchasing the property through Mather Marshalls Stevenage Old Town, to then selling the property on 10 months later due to upsizing. We purchased our new home through Purple Bricks, so thought it was easy enough we'll sell with them too. The biggest waste of £1200 i've ever spent. Unless you're selling something that appeals to the whole market and in high demand this platform isn't going to work. The "agent" takes your money and then you have all the control. We decided to go with Mather Marshalls, they were on a mission from day 1. Selling the property once for us, unfortunately falling through and then selling again a couple of weeks later still for a great price. The guys couldn't do enough for us. We are so happy with the professionalism and proactive approuch they all have. We would 100% recommend them to anyone. Fantastic service

Lovely house viewing, led around by Louise. She was lovely, informative, told us all we needed to know, and was honest about the property. Not at all like a stereotypical estate agent who slates any other properties you mention to have visited that are not theirs, she was honest and unbiased when showing us around the property. Paperwork and signing for the house was all extremely simple and it all happened very quickly, much to our delight. No issues at all and very friendly staff, and very kind and flexible when we had to change our viewing appointment times for various reasons! Definitely would use again!
