It’s a trap

Intercounty has been acting as a property agent and management company for the property I am renting in Hertfordshire . I would like to urge any potential tenant about the quality of property management services they provide . For almost one month and a half they cannot manage our shower to be fixed . Then house has got numerous issues including rats that have damaged our belongings as well as black mould on the windows . The company does not take any of those issues seriously and put tenants into unbearable living conditions failing to manage their contractors who are not qualified , rude and go into your house whenever they want without taking their shoes off . When you sign a rental agreement through Intercounty you are trapped - they will not help you do not take any responsibility , blame all on you and threaten you with breach of contract if you do not pay the rent even though they rent the house in i habitual dangerous condition (black mould and rats ) Stay away and refuse to sign if Intercounty is managing the property if you do not want to live with rats mould and a Broken shower for almost two months .

Wish we could have gone with them from the off, rather than wasting time with other agents in the area....Brandan was absolutely fantastic and always helped to keep our mind at rest while we stressed and panicked! The only downside is the conveyancers they are associated with, however intercounty themselves were superb 😊

Experience was made easier by both Lois and Matt who not only gave helpful advice, kept the whole chain up to date but provided a huge amount of support. I am very pleased to be able to write this highly positive review in support of the services received from Intercounty Stansted office. Throughout the sale process for our property they have been pro-active in communication and assumed ownership of the case, quickly answering any questions and ensuring all parties have been chased at appropriate times in order that a completion can be reached. As a special mention I was most impressed when I called a few weeks ago and spoke with James, who to that point I'd not really spoken to. He didn't know the answer immediately to my query, but said he would chase and get back to me that day. Thinking the worst I was very surprised when James called me back within the hour having done what he said he would do. Carol has also been very positive in making sure weekly updates have been delivered and again in chasing the relevant parties to ensure we could get to a suitable exchange and completion date.

James and Peter could not have been more helpful and kind throughout the process. Peter took the time to discuss my options regarding my shared ownership property and was very helpful and patiwnt despite me buying the remaining share delaying listing the house for about 4 months. When I eventually recontacted him to get the house on the market he remembered all the details and was so efficient. I was really impressed with the service. James took over with selling the property and he really is such a helpful, nice man, who reassured me constantly throughout the process and explained every detail to me, keeping me updated after every viewing as I asked. I had an offer after 5 days on the market thanks to Intercounty’s hard work so I could not have been more grateful. I highly recommend Intercounty Stansted.

The valuation was accurate and the agent's knowledge and experience in the local market ensured a number of off-market viewings and a sale within 2 weeks of listing.
