My rental at this address should not even have been fit for purpose. How the previous tenants ever get deposit back is beyond me. Gas hob unusable. Damaged electrodes, filthy rings. Had to replace with induction. Sink in kitchen damaged with stains in the bowl. Bathroom sink taps dripping. Filthy windows, smeared, all carpets needed vaxing as stunk of curry. Loose cupboard doors. I have rectified most of it myself but the state of the gas hob should not have been put on market. Luckily the landlord is a descent man and agreed to change. I feel animals must have lived here before. If you view a property with this company check everything and take photos. Rushed first viewing. Very unprofessional. Will never use again.

I would very much recommend this estate agents. Myself and my partner were tenants with them for 2 years. Throughout that time they were very helpful, particularly Rebecca and Doreen. They were courteous and dealt with problems quickly and efficiently. When it came to move out they were very helpful and made sure our deposit was released quickly. As someone who has rented for well over 10 years and therefore come into contact with a lot of estate agents, I can safely say Martin and Co in Staines are the best that I have dealt with.

I have been a client of Martin & Co (Staines) since the last quarter of 2011. The quality of the service I receive from them is always of the highest quality. The whole life cycle from finding a tenant, checking tenants in, performing on-site visits, checking tenants out, managing the cleaning, taking care of maintenance, arranging quotes for repairs, providing landlord advice, prompt statements etc is of the utmost excellence. I find the quality of the client feedback excellent. I always know exactly what is going on at all times. I live in Cape Town, and I have total peace of mind. I worked with Martin and Co in Staines for the past two years. I can not fault their fully managed service, the girls in the office were always proactive and efficient. I also recently used Martins to sell my property. The communication levels and personal effort Owen made was above all expectations. If I could do it again I would still use Martins and would recommend them to anyone. Thank you for looking after my property so well.

Good and Bad The good bit. The staff were communicative and helpful when it came to finding a property. After this point I dealt directly with the landlord which was equally positive. The bad bit. There were a number of charges that I thought were unfair including a fee to provide a reference for my new landlord (when I moved out). Also an automatic increase in the rent is written into the tenancy agreement.

Martin & Co has been my letting agency for a few years now and they have always been so professional for finding right tenants for me and so quickly. I really feel at ease when dealing with them and in particular Rebecca ( letting coordinator) always been charming and helpful when I needed advise . I highly recommend this agency which have been in business for some time in heart of Staines.

I have been living at one of their properties for a while, the service is awful, their employee's have no idea what they're doing and their manager is extremely disrespectful and only cares about the money. During my stay the landlords snuck into the property without informing us, which is also something that we were told wouldn't happen. All in all, I'd recommend avoiding Martin & Co all together, save yourself the time and trouble, use a real estate anency.

Totally unprofessional people, they work just on behalf of landlords and if you have a problem takes ages to be sorted out. I don’t recommend.

Hi there Cristi. I'm sorry you feel this way. You have made an allegation about your property start date which so far the landlord has not agreed to. Nor does the evidence of the signed contract and so on support this. We are reverting to the landlord again to ask for clarification. Unfortunately agencies cannot make unilateral decisions. I have sympathy because you are certain that there is an unresolved issue. We have done our best, and will revert privately to you.

Terrible. My husband and I were waiting outside the property we were supposed to view with Arturs and no one showed up. When I phoned Arturs, who was supposed to meet us, he said he had been 'too busy' but had meant to call and that he would be there in 2 minutes. Another 15 minutes passed and there was still no sign of Arturs. Eventually we got the message and left. When I phoned to request my details be removed from the system Arturs repeatedly talked over me, trying to explain he'd called twice (25-30 mins after we were supposed to meet) so not only was he useless, poorly organised and wasted our time, he was also rude.
