GoogleWe had a nightmare using this Company. They meddled in the purchase of our property by instigating our solicitor to use their recommended search company (obvs monetary kick back) when all I required from them was to SELL my home. Your interference had us bouncing all over the place trying to get the search done on our purchase. It had nothing to do with you so why be involved in the purchase in any way at all unless employed/ contracted to do so? It nearly lost us the house due to your irresponsible conduct. You charged a fortune to sell our house and when you look at what you in fact did was put it on a website and the rest was down to us. I even tried to get your directors to talk to me on LinkedIn yet no courtesy return message and we all know WHY, because you knew exactly what the problem was and you know I would have tied you in knots because I was all over it. My wife and I fixed everything ourselves with non stop calls to the local council and search company then gave you all the answers to rectify. I should send you my invoice for the work we had to do ourselves.NegativeResponsiveness
Thanks for leaving us feedback Colin, and I'm sorry to learn that you felt our service was only worthy of one star. We do understand the issues involved with the searches with your onward purchase, and one of our other Directors, Steve was involved in trying to sort out the issue together with the Solicitors and the search provider to try and resolve the situation. The problem seems to stem with the Solicitor whom we'd recommended to you and subsequently the searches not being ordered from the local authority. we also did our best to try to sort out the issue with the searches although this was out of our control (and there is no monetary kickback from the searches that the Solicitors needed). Thanks for bringing this to our attention though and whilst this is the first time that we've had an issue like yours it has certainly allowed us to review our internal process and we have also discussed the issues with the search provider to, to ensure those issues never happen again.

GoogleFell at the first hurdle! I arranged to view a property that I was keen on buying and had to book a day off work. The viewing went well and I wanted to move towards making an offer, so I checked the website as soon as I got in the car to find the property was sold subject to contract? I called to find out if the website was correct and had a call back the following day to say the property had had 3 offers in that failed so the vendor had sold to a friend? GoogleFrom start to finish, Dourish and Day have been extremely helpful in selling our property. From the first enquiries and booking in to value the property, they went through all information, including Covid restrictions which put our mind at ease. When we had the envious task of being able to choose from multiple offers, they talked through the pros and cons of each applicant well after they’d finished for the day and helped us pick the right buyer for a smooth sale, going through current market limitations and also background knowledge. Our completion took longer than expected through no fault of their own and they dealt with issues quickly and efficiently to make sure we were always up to date as well as keeping our purchase estate agents up to date also. I would most definitely sell through them again and have already recommended them to friends thinking of selling. Though we did not buy a property through them, they were great at setting us up viewings and were always on hand to help with quick changes.PositiveResponsiveness, Professionalism

GoogleFirst experience when looking to purchase not brilliant to be honest. Not customer friendly in showroom, slow, disinterested and didn’t get service I wanted with options of homes when gave price range. Definitely would not sell my home with D and D as I did not feel confident effort would be put in. Asked for viewings on properties but again not upbeat response so see what happens!

FacebookAfter having had a poor experience with two other local agents I was absolutely delighted with the attentive service provided by D & D. They sold the property within a few weeks, as opposed to months and kept me informed all the way through the process, which went a long way in taking much of the stress out of the whole undertaking. I also found the whole team to be friendly and likeable, providing invaluable advice and guidance, and that made me feel much safer in their hands than previous experiences. They know their area and they know their market. Should I require an estate agent in future D & D will definitely be my first port of call.

GoogleAlways a stigma attached to estate agents - Our experience with Dourish and Day completely through this out the window ! From start to completion they truly made us feel like it mattered to them and we mattered to them. It was an easy process because they explained everything along the way and didnt make us feel stupid when we asked lots of questions along the way because we wernt sure how things worked in the property chain in general. It was great to have people who were on our side and pushing for our dreams !! No hidden surprises and a team that truly worked together on our behalf

GoogleWouldn't recommend at all! I had James Day visit my apartment for an evaluation last year, he clearly didn't care nor was interested in listening to me or providing even a half decent service. He even stated that I should consider offers of £70,000! He even said "You may know the value of this place but I know what people will pay for it, I sell one hundred places in Stafford a month etc". Absolute rubbish! I sold my apartment for £87,500 in the end :-D Also he wanted £1,200 as his fee where another estate agent only charged £850 for an excellent service. Don't go here, they want to put the minimum service in whilst getting the maximum fee and he clearly didn't know the market as well as he claimed as proven by my sale :-D

GoogleI really cannot emphasise just how good this company was, fast friendly service they sold my house within 5 weeks! Then the after care was excellent, Sarah from sales progression was a huge part not only in the smooth sale of my house but with our purchase of a new build. We didn’t have a very good solicitor but with Sarah’s help going above and beyond for us we completed in record time of just 9weeks total. Definitely recommend to use this company.

GoogleUsing property passport as a disadvantage Paywall, if you don't pay to upgrade your account they show the landlord Warning income/info not verified, just another away for lettingshub to make money on the side & the chance of the landlord picking you is slim, as most likely people paid to get that slight advantage in line for a property, no other agency does this...
Good afternoon, thanks for your review, but we are somewhat concerned about some of the points raised. Can you please call us on 01785223344. we NEVER ask you to upgrade your account with lettings hub, and all accepted applicants to our knowledge have never paid to upgrade. We simply obtain the referencing and we pay the invoice for that - we then submit all applications to the landlord for them to consider who they would like to proceed with, but upgrading an account will not put you to the 'front of the queue' and applications are treated fairly and in the same format for the landlord to decide.

They have been very professional and reliable, good at keeping us informed of progress which was very important as we had moved out of Staffordshire early in the sales process. It was good to have a reliable agent whom we could trust to conduct accompanied viewings to vacant properties and release keys to tradesmen for maintainence when necessary . FacebookI have had such a bad experience with this company.. despite telling them my criteria for buying and being told I would get properties passed to me I have had every viewing .. 3 .. in a week for 3 properties cancelled. One of the properties had not had the offer accepted and I was told I couldn’t view it . Suggested to them this was because I decided to sell my property via another agent. I’m glad I did because this company are not trustworthy or offering the service they promise . Very disappointed.
