Hi Daniel, Thanks for your feedback. Having looked into your review and completed some further checks and listened to our telephone calls. Firstly , we have identified that we our team did initially advise that they believed the property was what we were showing on our website, which was incorrect and we have altered our systems to ensure that our team are aware of this in the future. Regarding your comment about the property, we were instructed by the builders to market the plot as the actual plot was not built when the developer asked us to market the plot. You refer to James and one of the Directors being rude to you, but I can't identify that from the call recording as they were merely asking if you had seen the footnote about the property not being the actual photos of the plot that we are selling. As the plot was not ready to be photographed, the developer advised us which plot was available to photograph (both internally and externally) and we acted on our clients instructions. We then had a footnote on the brochure to advise that the photographs of the property were not representative of the actual property, so were there for a guide only. This note appeared on all of our marketing information including websites and the sales particulars. As soon as the property was available to be photographed externally (initially, when we were instructed to market the property was not built) we re-visited the site and retook the external photograph to ensure it was a representation of the actual property being sold. We are sorry that we have caused you distress about the house - however on closing, this is quite a common procedure with estate agents across the country, who are instructed by developers to sell a particular plot that is not built, to use photos similar to the plot that is being sold. We hope this goes someway to answer your comments and we wish you every success in the future with moving home.

I know initially after you viewed the house you were disappointed that the house sold to a different buyer and as you had not made an offer (subject to the sale of your current home) our team wouldn't have picked up that you wanted to purchase. I do know that the original buyer fell through, and immediately we let you know the house was available again. It's great to see we managed to secure the house for you and we hope that you'll be collecting the keys from us soon.

Thankfully I am finally free from dealing with Dourish & Day Estate Agent (Stafford Branch) who have made the sale of a late loved one’s property an utter nightmare!From initially telling me a buyer had put in the full asking price and was a ‘Cash buyer’ & ‘Good to go’, I automatically assumed that meant the buyer was ready to quickly proceed with the purchase or at least at the final stages of her own sale, wrong! The buyer was in a chain and her buyer had not even had the survey done which highlighted some questions which took time to be investigated, so, during my grieving process, I had to wait, and wait, and wait, and when I asked why I had been misinformed verbally, I was told I should of read what had been sent to me via email??? So by their own admission, I shouldn’t have believe what I was told over the phone!I have spent the most horrendous few months unable to move on and had I have been informed the buyers actual position, I could of at least made an informed choice to keep the property on the market in the hope someone could make a quicker purchase!D&D, please be up-front with your customers, please do not put issues back on to the customer when they genuinely express their concern regarding information you have misinformed them about, please change your tone when talking to customers as I felt on several occasions I was being spoken to like I was a little child. And for this poor service I paid £2,820 for little contact, to be misinformed and when I did have contact, I felt spoken down to and patronised.I really wish I would have used purple bricks or Yopa on this occasion as the out dated 1% + VAT is no longer a true reflection of what the Estate Agents do to warrant this extortionate fee! Shop around as there are more competitive Agents out there!I now respectfully ask D&D staff to have no further contact with me as I am not able to listen to any further excuses or passing the blame back to the customer for your own oversight which on this occasion cost me emotionally and financially!
