GoogleThey will try there best to keep your deposit, making up things to make you look like you were a bad tenant. Take pictures, keep your paperwork and fight it. Guaranteed win if you report them. Otherwise they WILL keep your money.
Thanks Jess. This appears to be the third review left for the same issue. As before, we’d be happy to have a conversation to see how to make things right for you. We remain puzzled at your reviews as you clearly agreed the deductions made from your deposit against the clear photographs of the damage caused by your dog, and despite being advised you could appeal to the independent TDS adjudication service, you chose to not appeal. We are sorry you remain unhappy.

GoogleI can't praise the staff and management of Maxine Lester highly enough. I found myself in a very difficult situation having had a landlord pull out of a rental two days prior to moving via another agency. It was a matrimonial breakdown situation with young children involved and the staff pulled out all the stops and not only found me a great place in which we are all really happy but got me in there sooner than I could have hoped. This was only possible because of the attentiveness and excellent communication between the staff and myself. I found them to be a very professional organisation but this usually means the experience can be impersonal but it was anything but that. I have conveyed my thanks in person, but thought it might be useful to share my experience for anybody in my position in the future.

GoogleSimply a rip off of a company. They seems sweet but they will take your money with no intent on giving it back. No matter what you do they will make up lies to ensure you don’t get your money back.
HI Jess So sorry you have mistaken our genuine and extensive efforts to address your issues in this way. Sadly you left the house with so many urine stains we had to make some deductions. You have chosen to not allow the TDS or Property Ombudsman (independent bodies) to adjudicate, preferring instead to leave poor reviews. We really would prefer to have resolved this and tried very hard to do so. Matthew

GooglePoor customer service and unreasonable demands for rents upfront. Takes two weeks for them to send reference to other agency. Every one else takes 24 hours
Hi Ian. I am so sorry you feel we have not been responsive. After 5 years being a tenant with us, we know it was disappointing that you had to leave as your landlord decided to sell. We did try to find you something suitable; sadly there was nothing that matched your circumstances. Our enquiry about offering upfront rent was made to see if we could find a way to get you into a property. I am sorry you saw that as a demand. I am sorry you feel we did not reply to reference requests from other agencies. We can show that all enquiries about you have been replied to within 2 working days. Matthew
