This sale had problem buyers, problem solicitors, legal issues, indemnity’s you name it and Northwood helped all the way through . Rheanne on the sales team was a lunch pin between me as the seller and the eventual buyers, a great help thank you. Northwood valued my property, conducted some viewings and we agreed a sale price in August 2022. I didn't hear a peep from them until the completion date in February 2023, presumably because they wanted paying their £2,400. I would have thought they would have chased solicitors etc but they didn't. Reply to Comment by Northwood: I am not unhappy with the time it took to complete on the sale. I am unhappy with the fact that I did not have any correspondance from Northwood for 6 months and in that time they did nothing to expedite the sale.

I chose Northwood Southport to act as my selling agent because I'd had professional dealings with them before, in which they have proved themselves to be professional, reliable, contactable and true to their sales ethos. Northwood had the advantage that if my house didn't sell, they could also act as letting agents for my property instead. They were easy to deal with, very competitive on their fee, provided good communication and the sale went through with no problems. Just called the Southport office to enquire about a property on behalf of my daughter who’s a first time buyer, didn’t get a chance to explain the situation as I was met with a very abrasive saleswoman who said in a rather patronising tone that they had received numerous calls about the property and the buyer needed to have cash and complete within two weeks. Maybe putting this information in the advert would stop people wasting their time and maybe if the staff don’t care much for talking to the public they may want to consider a career change. Finally the staff may also want to remember that when the next recession hits (which it will at some point) the very people they are currently brushing aside could be a potential future customer, or maybe not !!
