TRIED TO SELL MY FATHERS BUNGALOW IN WELL SOUGHT AFTER AREA,MONKTON VILLAGE JARROW,VIA ANDREW CRAIG JARROW BRANCH,AFTER ABOUT 10/ 12 WEEKS DECIDED TO TRY A DIFFERENT AGENT BUT TIED IN WITH ANDREW CRAIG FOR 30 DAYS,WAS APPROACHED BY FRIEND OF FAMILY WHO KNEW OF AN INTERESTED BUYER WHO HAD TRIED CONTACTING ANDREW CRAIG BUT GOT NO RESPONSE BACK FROM THEM,APPROACHED AGENT BUT WAS CUT SHORT & TOLD I LONGER REQUIRED THEIR SERVICES,BUT WAS STILL BOUND TO THEM UNDER THEIR TO &Cs APPLY ,INTERESTED BUYER SHOWN AROUND PRIVATELY, BUT NO SALE AGREED LATER SOLD WITH KEITH PATTINSON JARROW WITH GOOD COMMUNICATIONS,BUT WOULD NEVER EVER RECCOMEND ANDREW CRAIG TO ANY FRIEND OR FAMILY DUE TO UNDERHAND METHODS,VERY BAD SERVICE ,THIS RELATES TO A SALE IN 2020 ,BUT DOES NOT REFLECT ON ANY OTHER BRANCH'S OTHER THAN THE JARROW BRANCH

The staff and particularly the Manager have been exceptional in handling the sale of our bungalow. This sale was prolonged due to the personal circumstances of the buyers. Due to the length of time (over 6months) we were at risk of losing the purchase of our new build home. Jackie (mgr) in particular went above & beyond to get us to the point of exchange, making almost daily calls to the buyers & their solicitors to obtain updates etc. Thus ensuring we secured our new build home.

I asked this agency to take over the management of my property (a house split into four self-contained flats), and initially they seemed very keen. Two flat were empty, two were occupied. They even took a rental payment off one of the tenants. They asked for paperwork. I gave them all there was and said they could get gas and electric safety certificates done on one of the flats that didn't have them - and I'll pay for them up-front. Then they very unexpectedly decided they didn't want to manage the property and very rudely stopped answering my emails. From the outset I offered to pay up-front for anything and everything that needed doing, gave them far more documentation than any new landlord would have. They said that because they "don't have all the paperwork" (read into that what you will…) they “couldn't” take over the management. It beggars believe that a company that makes money from managing properties doesn't want to manage properties! And so rude! They should not be in business.

GoogleI am so happy with the sale agent Miss Danica Beech, she was great and very supportive through out the process, if it wasn`t for her,we we still be in a Q with the purchase. Always there, always on top of it, thinking out of the box and finding solutions to any problem that came to the surface. Thank you so much for being there for me. Always asking if there was anything else she could help with, nothing was ever too much trouble for her or the rest of the staff. GoogleI have been dealing with Andrew Craig Estate Agents for a fair few months now and feel that I am in a decent position to leave an honest and fair review. I can not fault the staff. They are professional and friendly. I have recently been dealing with Louise and have found her to be efficient and very understanding of individual needs, the same can be said for her colleague Andrea who I dealt with during a previous potential purchase. The negative to this is that I do feel they over value their properties significantly, especially during the recent market boom. I guess its their job though to sell as many houses for as much as possible. I would advise any potential buyers to research comparable properties first ad get an independent property valuation before entering into negotiations...however, that's business!!! Back to the staff... I feel that I can approach them with any questions I have, no matter how stupid it may sound. I also feel that they listened to my concerns and treated me as an individual and not just someone that they wanted to take money from. Id happily use them again.PositiveProfessionalism

I bought my first house through the Gosforth office and could not fault the experience. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, ready to answer any questions I had, as well as in arranging an appointment with a mortgage advisor. Alison especially, was a huge help in making the sale go through.

GoogleA great, generally stress-free experience with Louise and her colleagues at Andrew Craig. Negotiations regarding our offer on the property were handled promptly and efficiently, and we genuinely felt as if the agent had the interests of the buyer as well as the seller at heart. Hopefully we'll never move house again in the future, but if we did, I would use Andrew Craig again.

Landlord - happy enough to take a percentage of the monthly property rent, for minimal to no work... Money for nothing. Paid for "their fully property managed package" (whatever that is) and they returned the property to us in an in-rentable state, as they did not even bother to inspect it during the tenancy. Save your money and rent your property yourself or use a reputable letting agent.Based on other reviews it appears they don't provide a half decent service to tenants either - disgraceful, no wonder landlords have a bad reputation. Avoid these crooks.

GoogleNothing is too much for the staff at Andrew Craig. I’ve felt very looked after during my sale/purchase and can’t fault anything. Everyone has been really kind and friendly, with Jackie and Georgia being who I’ve spoken with most. They’ve always reassured me during the stressful times (of which there have been many!) and I can’t recommend them enough! I’ve had experience with online estate agents and they’ve got nothing on the lengths Andrew Craig will go to to make sure they’re providing a good service. Absolute pleasure to deal with! I don’t plan on moving again (ever!) after this, but if I do I would definitely use Andrew Craig again!PositiveProfessionalism

Made an appointment to view a commercial property for rent. They rang 3 hours before the viewing time to cancel the appointment. No reason for cancellation other then there diary’s are full. Rang back and spoke to manager who arranged fir a viewing an hour later with another employee but was advised she would no nothing about property and any questions would have to go back to then. View property which as it’s currently set up is no good for my business so rang low fell branch to ask questions I’ve rang 4 times in a week and Jeff messages and my calls havnt been returned, finally lost it with them yesterday after being told my offer had been rejected “she thinks” I asked her what’s been rejected abd she couldn’t answer me and said she would get David to ring me today, he hadn’t rang me back the previous 4 times so didn’t hold upMuch hope this time, I rang them back at 3.30pm as it looked as thought I wasn’t going to get the call back to be told he wasn’t going to ring me as the offer had been rejected so nothing to ring me back about again. I asked what had been rejected as she couldn’t tell me yesterday but after looking at the hike today she could. So I asked her if my offer had been rejected are you not going to contact me to tell me and maybe ask if I Wanted to put in a different offer which she couldn’t answer. I told her I’ve never dealt with such unprofessional service before and no wonder this guys property is still empty if this is the way they treat prospective clients. I would never ever use this company to sell or rent out a property so unprofessional having to chase them for answers which they were clearly not going to pass on. I asked got babe and address of person to make a formal complaint to and was told yesterday it had to be emailed to me, I asked them to emailIt to me and im still waiting. Shocking customer service.

GoogleIf you are looking for an estate agent in the South Shields area, I cannot recommend Andrew Craig highly enough. I have dealt with estate agents on many occasions, and none have come close to Andrew Craig. I was kept up to date all the way through. Not once did I have to chase them for information or feedback - it was a breath of fresh air to deal with an estate agents like this.
