Absolutely appalling how they handle…

Absolutely appalling how they handle tenants, when i moved in the apartment was dusty and unkempt, they take age to respond to service requests, wont help the tenant in case of emergencies, and their units in Edgbaston have rats. Reported this for 5 months in a row until I left the apartment. They then proceed to take part of your deposit so they can apparently clean the house for the next tenant, rent with them at your own peril.

Viewed with clueless agent could not even take details . Made offer told they would come straight back 10 days later no communication ,and they have ni idea what is happening . I guess they are showing flat hopping for a higher offer or they just leave flats on right move for an advert

Thank you Sharon…

Wanna say a massive thank you to Sharon at your move! Me and my fiancé first time renting and we was very nervous about the whole process. From start to finish Sharon put our minds at ease! From the house viewing to the paperwork to picking up the keys the whole process was spot on. Was a very quick process for us. Within 3 weeks of putting a holding fee which was very good to now we are settled into our first home. My only criticism and it’s not the estate agents but the actual lettings hub is that the process of vetting is intense but it’s expected if you are first timers, especially considering I am self employed make sure you contact HMRC straight away to get your SA302 as they need it direct from them and not an accountant. Once again massive thank you to Sharon and her team. I now feel confident enough once our contract has finished we will be returning to Sharon for hopefully one to buy.

Avoid, avoid, avoid

I have used Your Move as a letting agency and the service has been disgraceful. One of their contractors have been to my property and carried out work to rectify a damp problem, they charged over £800 and then before the work was completed I was informed, I needed to pay an additional amount for them to finish the work which was in the original quote. The exact same problem still exists and I have now been given another quote by a different contractor they are affiliated with to carry out the work again. I have tried to complain and the area manager Rachel Short is condescending and made no effort to rectify the situation. Unfortunately, I have escalated been left with no option but to escalate my my complaint to trading standards and the Ombudsman. When I informed them I wanted to give notice on my contract with them they sent this response,'In order to cancel management of the property, we will require two months written notice and there will be a fee payable of one months rent plus VAT as set out in 7.3.3 of your Terms of Business, please confirm if this how you would like to move forwards'So, they charge one months rent plus VAT to effectively give the correct notice. I have other properties managed by a different agency and my advice is to AVOID them at all costs.

Poor experience from moving in to moving out, 4 years later. Avoid!!! Poor communication, they do not care about their tenants and tell lies. The process in getting your deposit back after moving out is a joke. 9 weeks to be precise, after numerous phone calls and emails.

When we bought our house it was through these guys, and when it was time to sell we went with them again. Really good experience right from the start. The whole team absolutely knows their stuff, and Denis and Sydney had us on the market with an offer accepted within a couple of weeks. When we ran into problems with the solicitors they struck the right balance of reassuring and urgent - which is tricky enough at the best of times, and house-moving rarely seems to be the best of times, so well done to them for doing this everyday! There were regular check-ins in-person, via email, and on the phone (thank you to Rosie for fielding our calls!) and we felt taken care of throughout. Thoroughly recommend them. Kept contacting the wrong person. Even though a detailed explanation was given. The agent sent talked more than listened. Anoyed that they then tried to contact me rather than the expressed person first as work ensued I couldn't answer the phone. Email or text was expressed as preferable.. But she just wanted to talk and talk and not listen. Then. Expected the first person (other party in the sale) to communicate even though he is no longer part of my life. Had to be asked for feedback after the viewing. No notes were put on computer until I had to ask. Even then they had to phone around to find out. Took the sale away and was then threatened with a fee if we went/sold with anyone else within 16 weeks. I won't name the girl as it was truly shamefully unprofessional. They are very unorgainized. Only wish they were like the Stechford branch.. These are not a patch on the father and son team in Stechford. Take a look at my reviews as a service provider at Abbeys1st driving school (red car) this was my business for 20 years. That is the standard to try an achieve.
