Platform is a Rachman type rip off

I completely echo Mandy Fox's review. I came here end of March 25 and I was so ill I had to see a psychiatrist last week. I was told in no uncertain terms by him to get out before - due to lack of social and psychological care - I end up like most of the residents who have told me that since Platform bought this place and others from a firm called Extra Care in 2016 they have run it down down down. I was placed here by Hereford Council and they totally agree with me after meeting the staff yesterday. Unless you elect and have personal (physical) care there is no one here to look after you. WARNING THIS FIRM TAKES £1400 PER MONTHB FOR A TWO BED FLAT WITH NO INSPECTION BY THE COUNCIL OR CQC; THEY CALL IT INDEPENDENT LIVING - I CALL IT A RIP OFF. AVOID ANY PROPERTIES OFFERED BY THIS FIRM AT ALL COSTS

A massive 5 * to Ryan Harris

I have just completed on the purchase of my shared ownership property. A massive shout out to Ryan Harris who acted very quickly and promptly when I had an issue with Solicitors. Jasmin and Ryan both helped get my purchase across the line.

I am the neighbour of a platform housing property and have had no end of damage to mine due to work carried out next door. I have had my driveway ruined by render from the application of cladding. They damaged and broke my gate. They left a gutter without a downpipe to the point that I now have damp on the interior wall. Their workers stole a brush that I own. Their workers frequently used my outdoor tap and electrical outlet without permission. The scaffolding they erected damaged my outdoor porches. They give no time scale of if and when these problems will be solved and all calls go to voicemail, I am not even a customer of them and they are treating me like scum. Discusting company.

Reported a leek under the bath, advising them that the floor was saturated and would probably need replacing.weeks later, the floor went through. Emergency call out was arranged but as of yet no repair or replacement booked. This was due to old, worn out and deteriorating facilities. Had these facilities been replaced, it would have prevented extent of damage caused. Happy to take the rent but don't want to put the money back in maintaining there properties

A company unfit for purpose.

I accept that maintenance work is necessary and that contractors have the right to carry out repairs during working hours. However, the behaviour of the workmen sent into the empty flat beneath mine has been unacceptable. Singing loudly and behaving in an anti‑social manner is not part of their remit, and it undermines the wellbeing of all tenants.

Absolute joke of a company, we were supposed to be moving into a new build in May, its now October and were still not in with no actual answer to what has caused all the delays and when were going to be in. Currently homeless because we had to leave our rental in September. Stay away from any properties they're involved in.

Platform housing bought out the housing association I was a tenant of. Outstanding work has gone undone, planned work has been lost to the ether, repairs are bodge jobs done as cheaply as possible regardless that this invariably causes deterioration to the property & is false economy as they pay more in the long run. Older properties like mine are not updated so have non conventional ceilings, walls, internal walls that have no fire resistance. Attempts to get work done fall on deaf ears. As a disabled person I don't have access to the appliances in my kitchen. I have to keep & charge my mobility scooter in my hallway which is a major fire risk they were made aware of in 2021 & have failed to do anything about despite an inspector saying electricity would be provided in an outbuilding. They have no interest in the welfare of their tenants & there doesn't appear to be housing officer's anymore so you don't have anyone you can have a working relationship with. In short Platform are a shambles more interested in increasing their property & land portfolio than community & social cohesion. Their tenants are purely a source of income. There are much better Housing Associations out there who don't discriminate against & treat people the way Platform do.

Useless. From personal experience evidence lacking in professionalism. Fed up with the ‘so what’ attitude being emulated from generation Z. Maybe for future sales you may need to upgrade the Word document portal instead of wasting peoples time. Clearly my money isn’t good enough.

I live in a private property that…

I live in a private property that shares a septic tank with one of Platform hg properties. We each pay Platform £466 (£1398 total !} per year to supposedly have it cleaned 3 times per year and inspected 3 times per year. This absolutely doesn't happen and now they have sold their property to a private tenant but no notification as to whether we will still be paying them. Obviously I'm trying to find out the current situation but it is like Platform hg don't exist. One number contact with a series of subject number choices, none of which are relevant, and on hold 'music' (3 bars of a saxophone repeated over and over) that I can only imagine is designed to cause maximum mental trauma and force you to give up. When you do get through they literally always tell you it's the wrong department and then tell you some made up department in order to get rid of you. The email addresses are just the same and you absolutely never get acknowleged response of receipt. 'Linx Housing' and 'New Linx Housing' before them were exactly the same so only the name has changed. They are an absolute farce of a company and believe me anybody who has to deal with them will discover this truth. ps. 1 star is too much but you can't leave no stars.

TERRIBLE HOUSING COMPANY I BEGGED FOR 12 months to be moved from a domestic abuser/attempted murderer! Now I have a spinal injury, a neck brace and restricted movement in my right arm. All because they couldn’t be bothered to help a young mother and her daughter who is only 4 years old to escape from a monster who lived round the corner from where platform housed me! I could’ve died or been paralysed. I am distraught and will be taking platform to court for this.

The worst housing association I've EVER come across in my life. Not helpful in the slightest not understanding. They like to just turn up at your property with no prior warning or email or letter or even a flipping phone call to say they are coming and just Demand to come in my home over a parking space issue complaint. Might I add the person complaining has No car while I myself drive a pip car. I just want to be left in peace so I can take care of my husband who has cancer and i also suffer with crippling anxiety. I refused to let them in and also refused them the 2 times after that. They tried to bully there way in i explained my reasons they still wasnt listening so i had to slam the door in there face, I am not gona stand at my front door explaining over and over again that i am not letting them in my home to 2 grown women. They came to my door like debt collectors. Its my home not 16 - 25 hostel were you can just barge into someone's space. Wouldn't recommend them to Anybody EVER THERE THE WORST. Such a vile company as long as there rent is paid that's all they care about nothing else. Platform are TRASH!!!!!

Absolutely diabolical! Never return emails or phone calls, complaints of antisocial behaviour ignored, and when you speak to someone on the phone after waiting an hour in the queue, they fob you off telling you they will get someone to call you back....which never happens! The local contractors they use are next to useless, and you are guaranteed to call them back to correct their own work....if you manage to talk to anyone that is! They're a joke!!! Update 31/7/23 I'm still waiting for Platform to contact me about my complaint about their incompetence...they informed me that their department would be in contact within 5 working days....that was almost a month ago! A sham.....

If I could rate 0 I would this company is absolutely disgraceful The workman who carry out the repairs are rude and have no respect for the home they are dealing with. It also takes forever to get a repair done, so you end up contacting the local mp to sort the matter Then, when complaining about anti-social behaviour, they do not care because they are not the ones dealing with the stress and upset Bikes have been stolen. People's families are being targeted, and sunflowers are being deheaded, the housing does not care Yet they still send letters out asking people to move property from the hallway because its a fire hazard it's ridiculous. The whole place is a fire hazard If anyone is ever offered a place with this company, refuse it. You deserve better The building is full of asbestos

Platform housing are an absolute joke. I have had a leaking roof in my flat since November 2022. The only thing Platform housing have done is erect scaffolding. I have water coming into my flat every time there is heavy rain. Water runs down the walls in the bed room and front room. I have had to weather proof all of my electrics and carpeted area's. The wall's and loft space are damp and smelly I suffer from asthma and living in these conditions is making it worse. I've contacted Platform housing on numerous occasions and nothing happens. The next step I will be taking is to contact my solicitor and to take these lying money grabbing jokers to court.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Platform Housing: A Total Disgrace

I’m absolutely fed up with Platform Housing. They do not care about their tenants, only the rent money hitting their account. The properties are falling apart, repairs are constantly ignored, and you’re left chasing the same issues for months on end. Yet, when it’s time to raise rent or service charges, they’re lightning fast. It’s honestly insulting.

I have rang Platform to request a new key fob to gain access to my flat. A previous carer lost it, and did not put it back in the key safe. I asked if I could speak to a Manager or Housing Officer, to make sure that they have one before I pay £15 - an increase from £20 which I cannot afford, and previously they didn't have any. Was told no Manager available, and no Housing Officer has called. In the meantime, I remain housebound in fear of not being able to get back in!

If I could give a minus 5 it would still be to much. Repairs take months, substandard work. Like blaming tenants for the mould. Jokers. I have raised stage one and two complaints. Ten months on and having lost nearing two thousand pounds on throwing away and replacing mouldy bedroom furniture, yes mould on the underneath of my bed it looks like mould won’t be addressed this winter. Way to go treating registered disabled people with added breathing and sinus problems exacerbated by mould. My second winter sleeping in my front room. Just a snippet of incompetence and lack of concern for residents.
