Day 5 on waiting for an emergency on a leak we have in our bathroom…..absolutely disgrace of a company that can’t help their customer! We can’t even use the toilet because we have to turn the water off to stop anymore leak. The floorboard is rotting away and having so much mould, no wonder my kids are getting ill with ongoing chest problems! It’s suppose to be a 24 hours emergency call out….more like never coming to an emergency call out!

I've been waiting since the first lockdown for an engineer to come and rectify my central heating radiators apparently they need balancing whatever that means. I was told that if I want my upstairs radiators hot I have to turn the downstairs off ???? It's never been the same since some engineer came and put a new radiator in my spare bedroom. I have prostate cancer and a heart condition and my bedrooms are cold especially in this weather we are currently having . I still have 3 jobs active on my repairs from November 2023 they say that they're working round to the jobs but nothing is ever done. I've yet again contacted platform about this problem but just get fobbed off , think I'm going to contact the housing ombudsman. Platform are a joke they're quick enough sending rent increase letters my rent has gone From £460 something to £501 as from January 2025, I've to pay this while I sit in a cold house it's not on . All I get is contact the portal I want someone to directly phone me

Platform used to be good until they joined another housing. My housing officer does absolutely nothing to help me, no matter what the situation. I can't wait to move, so I never have to deal with anyone from platform again they dont listen nor do any of the staff care. The only decent 2 people there that actually helped left platform. The whole company is trash Platform is as toxic as we're I live. That's the problem !!!!

If I could give less than one then I would! The service from platform housing is absolutely terrible. Any time you have a problem to report they never pick up the phone and then when you get down to number 1 in the queue they always cut the line. I have been experiencing no hot water since July and I have two children under the age of 3. They know this and yet they don’t see it as an emergency and then providing me appointments that are a month away! The day of the appointment the engineer didn’t even bother to knock or ring the doorbell as I was home all day and been waiting for them to come. They sent me two appointment times and didn’t arrive to neither. I am tired of always complaining and nothing is changing or improving with this housing.

Recently moved into a Platform, 1 bed flat. After barely 2 weeks in the property- already starting to find problems with it. A kitchen sink, that leaks water onto the floor every time the tap is run. Evidently this was not checked by their “maintenance team” before moving myself in. Clearly it’s also been repaired before as a “bodge job” - bottom of cupboard has just had a piece of metal glued to it to try and prevent more water damage, however it just stinks and has made the issue worse. Very disappointed to be honest. The Buzzer for the flat is also broken, and so are the window handles on 2 of the windows. I called about an emergency repair to the sink, was told to wait at 5pm on a Saturday- waited until 9pm and still nobody had shown up. Called back again, and was told I had been incorrectly informed and that I should just wait. Repairman never arrived. Rang back today, regarding the repair at midday and was told the engineer would be here in the next 5-6 hours, again.. All the heating controls are ran by battery’s, that clearly weren’t replaced by the “maintenance team” before I moved into the property, are already dead. Also the entire flat came uncarpeted and un-floorboarded - as someone who is not working due to disability, I’ve been told I’m expected to carpet the entire property myself and somehow afford it. Platform referred me to their “Well-being fund” for support with an Oven, Fridge Freezer and Washing machine. However told me I could only have one. So either the ability to store food and not cook, nor eat it. Or the ability (if I chose an oven) to cook food and not be able to store it or keep anything frozen. Absolutely ridiculous rubbish. After looking at some other reviews, Platform are clearly a very badly run housing group. I’ve read many reviews with similar issues.

Awful

We are trying to move house from a Platform owned property (well, we own the property, they own the lease) but we have now lost 2 sales as platform have not been able to provide us with an adequately completed EWS1 form (relating to cladding/balconies). No mortgage provider will touch our property or any other in our street without one making moving or remortgaging impossible. I have raised a complaint, heard nothing, now chasing my complaint, almost laughable to complain about a complaint! Platform are a disgrace, they have known they need this form for over a year now and yet done nothing. It’s like they don’t give a damn about you when you actually own your property and only pay them a monthly service charge. Although looking through the other awful reviews I suspect they actually don’t give a damn about anyone at all!

Moved into a property in August last year. Before I signed my tenancy agreement I asked for a fence to be installed in the back garden so I could let my dog use the back garden so she didn't leave mess in my neighbours garden so as not to cause issues, Emily told me that it was my responsibility to get the work done. For the first 2 weeks my dog was the only dog in the building she didn't use the back garden as it was too over grown and then my neighbour got his dog back just after I cut the grass in my back garden it promptly poohed in my garden. I asked the neighbour if they would pick up the mess and they didn't. It forced me to put up a chicken wire fence as that is all I can afford. This makes my back garden area unusable. Then the same neighbour started to leave rubbish in the communal area which on the hotter days stinks. I have been told by my housing officer Emily.M. that he is allowed to do this. They also allow him to leave medical waste from his wound dressing to be left in the communal area for over week on several occasions. I fitted a doorbell camera as I don't always hear the door knocker and have missed deliveries as most of the drivers use the trade button to get into the building. This was the best thing I could have ever done as the area is full nosey people who have tried to blame me for things that have nothing to do with me and I am able to provide video evidence of my innocence. This upset neighbour as it protected me from his bullying. By this point I asked for a different housing officer as Emily just wanted to put up with bullying and rubbish left in the corridor. At the beginning of the year my neighbour shouted out of his window that he would physically assault me. I caught it on my GoPro camera as I was wearing it whilst riding my bike. I sent it to platform housing and I was told they couldn't hear anything. At this point I began to worry for my personal safety so I wear it all the time now. Eventually I got a face to face meeting where Emily M manager Karen L heard what was said and agreed with me that it was threatening. I was told not to talk to him which I followed as I just want a quiet life. A few months ago he threatened me with physical harm in front of a contractor who witnessed it all. I contacted platform housing and was contacted the next day by Emily M who just belittled me. She emailed me some paperwork for the anti social behaviour complaint and she put the wrong date on it. This investigation is on going right now but it still hasn't done anything to stop my neighbour, it has been more like Emily M has told him that he is allowed to carry on. Just after he threatened me he shouted abuse so loudly at one of his guests that I could hear it in my living room. Then a few days later he verbally abused and ambulance crew made up of women because they tried to get his to help but it wasn't exactly like he said, they helped him get his dog in and out of his property to go to the toilet but his dog wouldn't so he got abusive. The next strange occurrence was a woman trying to open my front door first then knocking and finally pressing my door bell all caught on camera and shouting that my neighbour was a drug dealer. All of these incidents were caught on my door bell camera, I have sent them to Platform housing and they don't want to deal with the problem they just want to cover up for my neighbour behaviour. I don't feel like they have done their duty in regards to the duty of care towards myself in the situation. The housing officer is not good at their job. That's the reason for the 1 star. The call center is great they were the reason for the first review having 5 stars. I don't think that anything will change but I will change my review if things are rectified correctly.

Mixed reviews, when I first moved in had nothing but harrassment for rent and rude derogatory comments from rent officer, my new build wasnt built properly but theyve put me a new wall in now and seem to be taking steps to repair the houses on the estate , I am being charged a service charge for grounds maintenance yet no one maintains the grounds, also being charged a communal electricity charge yet no working street lights and a massive pothole instead of a road, cars being damaged on the regular from the 'road' on the estate, hard to get hold of them, complaints dont get dealt with without taking to social media and really banging on, have since been left alone and been able to finally settle in, neighbourhood officer seems reasonable

Currently on day five without heating or hot water. Bloke came out on day two and had a look at the boiler. It's obviously knackered. Made notes on his tablet and left. Been contacting Platform every day and getting the same couldn't be bothered attitude. They've left us with two small electric heaters. Now our house is four bedroom over three floors. We'd have more luck using candles. We also have small children in the house. It's absolutely freezing. I googled the legal situation on this and we are not supposed to be left without heating or hot water for more than a 24 hour period. There is an association regulator on the gov website and i intend to take this matter further. Oh and don't come on here asking us to contact you to resolve the issue because we've been doing that every day and it takes us an hour to get through to speak to someone. Disgraceful.

Since moving in to my property have had nothing but bullying and harassment from one of my neighbours due to the fact I’m working 12 hour shifts so am walking around in my property at 8pm the floors in my new build flat are so thin and hollow I wonder if they are even up to standards for a communal block of flats. My housing officer has done nothing but avoid contact and conflict he is not answering the questions I have and has made me feel that I am not at home in my own home AVOID this housing association the way they treat tenants is disgusting no support whatsoever they do not care about you just want your money

Hi I also one mention this about one your roofers who came earlier this year in February to do a job who is white old male he speacks to me in a very rude manner I can tell his a racist doesn’t like me because of my appreance probably because I have a beard and he thinks I am Muslim but which I am not. He intentionally unclipped a tile and left mess on my roof he also took my brodband wire placed it above my roof covering and he also drilled hole on my house bricks for no reason. And his colleague threw his rubbish on my front garden. They did not do the repair that day because water was still leaking. Then couple of weeks later someone from platform came and watch them do their jobs becaues I made this complaint before. The reason why I am bringing up this again is because that same guy might come again to fix a tile on my roof if he does I will confront him on his views hopefully it shouldn’t get physical. I am disgusted that you never took any disciplinary action earlier when reported this to you.

This housing association get worse every year. If they want something you have to do it now or you get threatened and spoken to like a child. If I want my overpaid service charge back, it takes months. Then when you give them your bank details they say they can’t make the payment as they are not right, like I didn’t check they were 100% before sending them over. You call to speak to someone in finance and all you get is someone saying to speak to your housing officer which I have already done, then to email them which I have done. Then when I say I’m going to cancel my direct debit payment I’m told that will get me into further trouble, what trouble, I’ve not done anything wrong. Honestly I can’t wait to sell my flat and never have to deal with them again. Well, they are still appealing a couple of years down the line. This time I ordered a key from them which never turned up, called to complain and I never heard back m. Ended up having to claim on my credit card for £15, what a joke.

If there was anything less than 1 star, I'd definitely have given platform housing group that! Platform are arguably the worst housing association ever! And I mean ever! The reviews speak for itself. The Lack of communication, accountability and honesty just to name a few. They claim to put their customers first but that is just one of their numerous lies! I have had a lot of issues with the property and platform have just fobbed me off. The housing officer is practically nonexistent, and so is their manager. You make calls to request they contact you but they never do, you send emails and they never do or even bother to respond to your emails!!!Diabolical service from Platform! The entire company needs an overhaul! I bet if you looked for the definition of INCOMPETENT, platform housing would be the first result. Abysmal customer care and customer service! The don't put their tenants or customers first!!!!! They also don't care about the effect their incompetency has on people suffering with their mental health! WHAT A SHAME!! Complete and utter joke they are!

This is by far the WORST housing company. Drafty windows since I moved in nearly 3 years ago, workman managed to make them worse and clearly didn't know what he was doing. Multiple complaints and still not fixed. Removed parts and then said they couldn't get them again. Only to now say they're not dealing with this issue and for me to contact the manufacturer, where they could've got the parts from! But as they've tampered with the windows, the warranty is now void with the manufacturer. Constant draft in two of the rooms. This should have been passed to the manufacturer as soon as it was reported when I moved in, not constantly sending the same workman to tamper with the windows when he clearly didn't have a clue! Awful customer service.
