GoogleBUYERS BEWARE I was a buyer, I was lied to about the construction type of a property ( turned out to be timber frame once survey was completed). When I brought this issue up I was told that my surveyor was wrong and they had sold the attached house nextdoor and it was not timber frame. This was incorrect and both properties were. I had to send the photo proof from my surveyor to convince them it was timber frame and they tried to pressure me into carrying one with the my purchase. Very unprofessional.

TrustpilotOk, but avoid taking AVrillo solicitors through them!!!!
At the beginning, the service was fine and communication was decent. However, as the sale progressed and there was limited interest, they were initially reluctant to reduce the asking price. Only later, as the contract period was coming to an end, did they start actively looking for buyers. They also recommend AVRillo solicitors, who in my experience were very poor and had several unexpected or hidden costs, so I would not personally recommend that route. When the survey came back lower than the agreed sale price, the situation became less straightforward and felt unnecessarily complicated at times by the agent. Eventually, the property did sell for the original price through them, but in the later stages I had to chase most updates myself. Communication became weak, and I often had to call to find out basic progress updates. Contact with my solicitor was also not easy, which added further stress to the process. Overall, an acceptable service at the start, but weaker support and communication in the later stages of the sale.

GoogleDB Roberts have done an excellent job handling the marketing and sale of our house. We added them as a second agent on our property, and the difference in the level of service provided by the two agents was vast! The level of communication and customer service we've received throughout the process from Emily has made the process smoother and much less stressful! I'd definitely recommend DB Roberts for anybody looking to sell their home.

I spoke to Nicole at DB Roberts early Saturday morning to report an urgent repair and within less than 2 hours a plumber had called me to say they were on their way to fix the repair. By Saturday afternoon the repair was completed. Prompt professional and understanding honestly can't thank DB Roberts enough!

Happily going ahead with a sale of our property thinking we had a sale with DB Roberts, who had sold the property we had offered on to another purchaser and not bothered informing us. Lack of communication and empathy. Left high and dry and devastated. In response to the reply below, you were informed that I had reduced my property by 5k in order that we could get a new seller, which happened. You told me that the seller ‘would be happy to wait a couple of weeks’. At no time were we informed that you had gone ahead with another buyer or I’d have kept my asking price the same.
We're sorry to hear how disappointed you felt and we completely understand how upsetting the situation must have been. On our system we can see that we spoke with you on 18th March 2025, when you let us know that your sale had unfortunately fallen through and you were unable to proceed with your purchase. Following this update, the sellers of the property you had offered on made the decision to continue with another buyer who was in a position to proceed. I have worked with DB Roberts Lettings for many years. They have always displayed unmatched professionalism and taken a proactive approach to managing my tenancies, helping me to stay on top of the many issues that have arisen. I have been particularly impressed with both Lisa Edwards and Nicole Stiller. They never wait for a problem to escalate; whether it’s providing detailed property reports, mediating tenant issues, or navigating complex maintenance, their communication is meticulous. Any delay in rent is addressed immediately, and payments are always processed very quickly. They have a remarkable ability to manage contractors and resolve issues efficiently. I truly feel that they have proven time and again to have my best interests at heart. My rental property is in safe hands, and I cannot recommend them highly enough.
